⚠️ POLICY UPDATE ⚠️

  • Due to recent disregard for our on-hill closures, we are adjusting the penalties. Ducking a rope closure means losing your season pass for 30 days. Doing it a second time results in losing that pass for the rest of the season. Single or multi-day ticket holders will lose all remaining days. This behavior puts yourself, our ski patrollers, and others in extreme danger. It also prevents our team from opening terrain on a powder day. Thank you in advance for your cooperation - have fun and stay safe.

Oh the joys of holiday weekends at the old ski resort. 3 hour lift lines. Rear entry boots. Starter Jackets. And lost flatlanders who followed tracks out of bounds.

Thank you. In addition to criminal charges. Include a fine of 5 times the amount of their annual pass and ban them for life.

Oh wow..u deleted my comment about the greed of the mountain turning on the lifts and putting people on the hill before control work is done...just wow.

You should delete your own message as this is an idiotic comment! Mammoth Mountain has an upper and lower mountain and is VERY large. Skiers can very easily ski the lower mountain while Avalanche Mitigation work is happening. In addition, there are closures in place in various locations to keep skiers safe. There is no greed associated with opening the mountain safetly so riders can get after it and ski untouched powder. That is why they pay money to ride those lifts and access the goods. Maybe think twice about posting an ignorant comment about a topic you know NOTHING about!

Funny how they end it with the real reason. It’s not about life. Ultimately it’s about money.

Not sure how you came up with that idioc logic? Skiers want the mountain opened as quickly as possible and access to powder and you think it is about the money. Do you know how much it costs to do Avalanche Mitigation work? Of course you don't, and if a resort was interested in the money, they would just sit and wait for the snow to stabilize and then open it for the public. Instead, they spend money, train their patrol, pay them overtime, just so their guests have the best experience possible. Maybe educate yourself before making such a moronic comment.

But honestly I don’t know if I’d ever pay to play at your resort 😂 I only paid 280$ for my season pass and I’m a BUM so I’ve skied 37ish days so far this season so I’m at 7.57$ per day and getting lower each day 😂
