Sad to hear but we knew it was coming. Happy that the label had a pretty amazing 10 years all things considered with it being one of the freshest genres out there. So much influence for such a short amount of time. Excited for the last bit we are getting and so excited to see where everyone ends up because the potential for all of these artists as we have seen with AG, Danny and EasyFun is limitless and they will be the game changers of pop music for the next decade. I used to think I simply didn't like music, until I stumbled upon Every Night by Hannah Diamond. It was such a hopeful and joyful track that captured my attention from start to finish. Next thing I know, I'm down the rabbit-hole of experimental bubblegum pop and harsh bass. SOPHIE, A. G. Cook, EASYFUN, felicita, GRRL, GFOTY, Namasenda, umru, and plenty more brilliant artists I could list created the playlist of my coming-of-age. Interestingly, before this era, I did like some nightcore music beforehand, and apparently one of A.G. Cook's early works was a nightcore remix of a Britnety Spears' song (?). The point I'm trying to get at is that I will miss the sense of constant collaboration, remixing, parody, pastiche, referencing, and joking that PC Music allowed for so many musicians and stunned listeners such as myself. This album encompasses all the best aspects of this wild ride of the last decade. The computer is truly the best instrument ever created. You all have inspired many to pursue music personally and professionally and been the catalyst for the growth of so many people. I might have still be scratching my head at what the appeal of music as an artform is without you, PC Music. Your accomplishments are insane and still have yet to be fully realized! It's inevitable; Personal Computer music forever~ 💙! (Also, can we please have a way to get a physical copy of "10"? I really want to own a CD case that is just a blue saturation wheel, lol. 🟦)
The more I think about it, the more I regret not specifically mentioning HYD. They're the reason I got so attached to the "Hey QT" music video with their deliberate vocals and dance and introduced me to SOPHIE along with making me explore more of A. G. Cook's work outside of productions with Hannah Diamond. HYD seems to be an underrated vocalist in PC Music and I hope they have continuing success in music.
I feel sad, in Brazil we had a set of djs into hyperpop back in 2016 and I was producing songs to release an EP but lost all my files and never came to release. I can't even state how deeply Sophie, Easyfun, Cook, Dvnots and others had influence my sound design. Thanks for everything ♥
I remember the mood of 2013, how it felt in my mind anyway. Music had become so self serious. Bearded men retreating to cabins to find the next Bon iver album. Death grips and Kanye west were raging away. While this was a time of tremendous revolution for music, I feel PC music charted the path out of this quagmire, offered a space where music could be freeing, fun, bubbling with energy and FUN again. Hyperpop arrived and it can be heard in so much music being made today. Thank you all for the great music!

Thanks for everything PC music. I went to the PC Music Pop Cosmos in London in 2016 on my own because I didn't know anyone else who liked the kind of music at the time. I'd never heard music this good before and never been to a show with a crowd so cool and nice. PC Music has soundtracked so much of my adult life and me transitioning gender (lol) and I'm listening to this with the feeling of saying goodbye to a friend. Thank you and good luck in everything in the future, I'll still be listening.

I don't think anything will ever again sound as blindsidingly fresh to me as BIPP did around the time of release. Stepping through that gateway into the realm of PC Music was *magical* - it got me excited for so many things that music could be, and kept me inspired as I sought ways to set my own apart. A decade later, while ideas amplified by PC Music & co. have permeated so much of modern music, I still feel like no one looking at it from outside has completely Gotten It... the spirit of that era is irreplicable.
Frowning while listening to this :( it's so so so good but just knowing it's coming to an end makes me not want to allow myself to enjoy it as if I'll somehow miss it less once it really is all over 😭😭😭 but thank you so much for all that youve done - like everyone else it genuinely changed my life. From seeing pop city in LA in 2016, to showing my Russian professor of subcultural media (who was big in the punk/rock scene here - and he looooved finding out about PC music and GFOTY especially) - the label, the genres, it just transcends everything. Thank you so much and I really hope we'll continue to see each artist producing music on their own time 💖🥲 (Also pls can I write a book about the history of PC music + hyper pop I'm kinda already working on it but I don't want anyone to steal my idea 😭)

Thank you for how you've influenced the direction of sound artistry. I don't think anything will ever again sound as blindsidingly fresh to me as BIPP did around the time of release. Stepping through that gateway into the realm of PC Music was *magical* - it got me excited for so many things that music could be, and kept me inspired as I sought ways to set my own apart. A decade later, while ideas amplified by PC Music & co. have permeated so much of modern music, I still feel like no one looking at it from outside has completely Gotten It... the spirit of that era is irreplicable.
Frowning while listening to this :( it's so so so good but just knowing it's coming to an end makes me not want to allow myself to enjoy it as if I'll somehow miss it less once it really is all over 😭😭😭 but thank you so much for all that youve done - like everyone else it genuinely changed my life. From seeing pop city in LA in 2016, to showing my Russian professor of subcultural media (who was big in the punk/rock scene here - and he looooved finding out about PC music and GFOTY especially) - the label, the genres, it just transcends everything. Thank you so much and I really hope we'll continue to see each artist producing music on their own time 💖🥲
(Also pls can I write a book about the history of PC music + hyper pop I'm kinda already working on it but I don't want anyone to steal my idea 😭)
