Fignon died of cancer. Armstrong famously had cancer also. I have heard claims the drugs they used might have acellerated the cancer. I guess we can never know for sure but many riders have suffered ill effects from PED's. This is the main reason why doping should never be made legal.
You're absolutely right. The health risks of PEDs, like cancer and other severe effects, are why doping should never be legalized. It's crucial to keep the sport fair and protect athletes' well-being. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ✅
Merckx was not involved in doping. Get your statements right . 5:40
They all take drug and it's like that in every sport. I don't understand why drug is not allow in 2023. Those ou use that drug know the effect on body and they are there choice.
While it's true that some athletes choose to take drugs despite the risks, allowing it would compromise fairness and safety in sports. The goal is to ensure a level playing field and protect athletes' health.✅Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Total dishonesty, what a shame😢
I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. Our goal is to provide an honest look at the history of cycling, including its controversies. We appreciate all feedback and aim to improve our content.✅Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Doping will never make an average athlete suddenly a TDF contender.
Doping will make an already above average athlete even better.
If everyone is on the same drugs the field is level.
While it's true that doping won't turn an average athlete into a Tour de France contender, it still poses serious health risks and undermines the integrity of the sport. Leveling the playing field should be about fair competition, not who can take the most effective drugs. Thanks for your perspective! ✅
Let these cyclists smoke all the weed they can handle before a race
That would certainly make for an interesting race! But in all seriousness, maintaining fair competition and athlete health is crucial.🙏Thanks for the lighthearted comment! ✅
Riis was in 1996 by the way...greetings from belgium
😎Thanks! 🙌
@@CyclingRewind you're welcome friend, greetings from 🇧🇪
Once again fools need to check their facts! Eddy merckx was acquitted IN COURT 3 times, for 3 charges of doping. He was never stripped of a title, was never banned from racing! So cycling rewind, go do your due diligence! Merckx, charged 3 times, found innocent 3 times! Be factual fools!
I think Greg Lemond is the only clean champion
@@stevemorley I see you're clueless about cycling too
Lemond was found with high levels of lead in his system at one point....sorry bad joke, but yeah he was and still is a legend
😂
Greg LeMond's achievements are indeed remarkable, and he is widely respected for his stance against doping.🏆Thanks for highlighting a true champion! ✅

The reason why cycling has all these problems with doping is due to the absolute strain it puts on your body. A lot of these drugs aid in recovery, allowing them to ride longer and get stronger. The list of banned drugs is pretty large but in some ways, some of these drugs are needed if cyclist are going to not have their bodies break down due to the thousands of miles they have to ride every year to compete. But what Lance did was just plain wrong and really hurt the sport.
Absolutely, Greg LeMond's dedication to clean cycling is inspiring.👌🏽Thanks for recognizing his achievements! ✅
Your comments on Eddy Merckx are completely wrong.
I hope you are sued by his family.
