You're welcome! The Display Accessories have a different port between the Platform M and the P1-M. The P1-M uses a Type C port whereas; the Platform M+ uses an older port that Honestly I am not sure what it's called. Looks like an old Thunderbolt port? I am not sure at all
@@OmoiSenpai Thanks for the reply! 👍 Thunderbolt, in any of its iterations, would seem like an overkill for the purpose; maybe it's a proprietary connector.
Cool review! Personally, I’m happy with my Platform M+ and see no need to upgrade. It just works and these new features seem to be not that significant. And I would hate the placement of those play/stop buttons. Def keeping the old one
Ayee! I am glad that this video was able to reach a fellow Platform M+ user :D I totally feel you on that! Sometimes, having too much can be.... too much! It's a give and take though. I appreciate you commenting ^_^
@@OmoiSenpai exactly! The metering would be nice though. Personally I’m using a streamdeck as well to use shortcuts. So the touchpad feels a little useless
I guess the only positive part would be that the touchpad is on the device, whereas, the Steamdeck is a further reach, and to me, pressing those buttons are a bit awkward compared. My Brother owns one, and idky but I have to cup my hand around it to press on it. I definitely want to grab one, but after using the P1-M, it's definitely lower on my priority list of things to grab for now.
You can use the P1-M and it's Extender (The P1-X) in FL Studio. Maybe it can be done with the Platform M+ with the P1-M too. I'll see. I'll make a video about it for tomorrow!
Hehe :D Glad the video gave you some insight! Either way you go, just know that having your hands on motorized faders will feel so much better than a mouse and doing it one at a time!
I have the V1-M and love a lot of its new features :) There are still one or two bugs that irritate and the fact that it does not have the colour going through from cubase is annoying and that the 2nd strip does not work in cubase also.:( Maybe in the future... And as for the Job Wheel :( Just way to sensitive at the moment
Hey! Aww nice. I saw the V1-M through iCon's RUclips Channel, but it looks too big for my setup. But man that Jogwheel looks like it's comfortable!! ^_^ As for the Color Scribble Strips, for FL Studio, it is not there as well under the legacy Mackie controller script, BUT it is possible to create a script that shows it. I've tested an unfinished script from a developer, and the scribble strips does show up! That is one thing that these Midi Developers lack on the most, the scripting section to have their devices compatible with every DAW as best as they could be. It's simply too much for their focus, which sadly diminishes their first appearances for the core audience.
Hello. If you mean to move the fader banks, so like from faders 1-8 to 9-16 then 17-24 etc then yes! They both have the ability to move the faders over either 1 bank, or 8 banks forward or backwards.
So glad to see you back on that regular posting
Thanks! I'm trying my best though, I still have some side-projects to deal with before I'll be able to get a lot more done here
I just found your channel and videos today and all I can say is I know a troll when I see one! This guy is a comedic genius
:D
Thanks for the comparison! Are the detachable displays interchangeable between the models? 🤔

@@OmoiSenpai haha yes I do the same thing to press it. And yeah, if you have the P1-M, no need to get one now haha
can u expand the p1-m in fl ? and use them both as a main unit and its expansion ?

I get your point on the clicking part when it comes to like changing the channel insert but think of automation wouldn't you want it to be smooth
But But... Clicky :D lol true that though!
Go Upstate!
Thanks for this. I'm thinking about getting a DAW controller of some kind at some point.

Hello. Thanks for the video. Can you transpose scenes as to manipulate more channels (eg. 16/24/32 channels)?

@@OmoiSenpai thanks for the info man!
No problem :D
Do it automatically sync to FL mixer and playlist or do you have to set it up?
Great stuff !

Do it automatically syncs to FL mixer and playlist or do you have to set it up manually?
Automatically! When you set up the controller type to the Mackie Control Universal, it will automatically do it's thing ^_^
