I like it better when some characters in musicals don't have a perfect voice because that makes them look more like normal people instead of actors that got chosen for their singing abilities. To me it looks more realistic since the majority of the world population just can't sing (or at least me lmao). Imperfections are human. That's why I love this movie: it sums up and shows life in all its forms and beauty.
