Yeah. I'm aware that a lot of scales and modes aren't played the way you'd normally play a scale. Especially the ones we call "exotic". In Arabic music certain scales are played only in certain keys. But I'm just one guy teaching myself all this stuff and would take more than a lifetime to learn all the different rules different cultures have set for their music. So I just do what comes naturally for me.
