    Sparring review

    Thanks for the advice. I’ve been thinking about punching technique. When I’m facing an opponent, should I punch to push them back, punch and then return to my stance, or aim to punch through my opponent?

      It’s always good to punch through the target but when doing that there’s a price. If you miss you can fall all balance. You have to punch with your body weight behind. But sometimes you punch for speed or with power depends on the situation.
      A good example would be who your sparring. If spar a guy who’s a good mover you have to punch with speed then get close to unload power punches.

    Your chapters aren't applying to your video because you include an extra 0. Also your first note HAS to start as 0:00.
    Correct:
    0:00 - Intro
    Incorrect:
    00:06 - Intro
    Not to dish on your video, content is great and I study it all the time. I just noticed it and thought it might be helpful info👍

    1 thing I find with the PaB style is that you are very square on and present a big target even when you do all the head and body movements. What do you say to staring off with a more bladed stance and then moving in with the PaB ?

    • @madhookersboxingmartialarts
      @madhookersboxingmartialarts  5 месяцев назад +3

      You can absolutely do that as long as your stance isn’t too bladed where you cannot slip or weave properly to the left-hand side. Remember the different ranges of boxing on the outside. My stance is more bladed at a 45 then as I get closer to my opponent I square up or if I’m moving towards my opponent if you watch Mike Tyson on the outside his feet are more at 45°, 100% squared up
