Started boxing a month ago, i'm 45 years old, 5' 8" and 90kg hoping to be 85kg after i lose some fat. Been really struggling with how to execute the jab to get inside since EVERYONE in the gym is taller and younger/faster than me. Watching this was like a lightbulb moment, i had one jab, now i have 4 just from watching this, its going to make such a difference. Amazing video and explanation!!!

Thank you, it's always useful to reserve 2-3 1minutes worth of stamina and work the fundamentals to warm up or cool down with muscle memory, then slowly speed it up and add footwork or weight shifting/loading up

grreat vids man! really helping my peekaboo style. need a little advice on how to get the right hand more involved. I'm fighting a lot of taller fighters, i'm 5ft7 and fighting people 5ft11. I spend a lot of time in the round chasing them down and all they do is back up, as a result im mostly using my jab to try and set up combos, but having to stop and chase down as all they do is move back.
I suppose the question is, as a peekaboo fighter, how do you deal with people who actively try and get away from you... they dont stand and fight, they jab, tag and dip out. frustrating when i'm looking for that right hand, but they've already ran away

Easier said then done I know but it depends where you spar them. If in a ring you have to pressure behind the jab and use head movement to get close. Another way is to try and draw them in to counter punch. The secret to this is learning to punch in combination. I would assume if I watch you spar you're looking for one shot. You have to throw combinations. The first three punches usually get your close and then it's the next series of punches that will get them

Excellent work coach! You're right about Mike, I have seen many videos and he was very, very fast and explosive, I think he has 5 or 6 jabs. I have a question, How do you throw the up jab, half jab half uppercut in peekaboo?

Just slip to the lead hand side and shoot the jab at an upward angle.
