Low wages in Ethiopia

As long as we are not able to pay government employees fair wages, we will keep on getting substandard service from the government. Ethiopia pays one of the lowest wages to public servants. These employees do not have enough income to pay their bills. As a result, government workers employ unethical and deceptive methods to extort and receive additional income via BRIBE from the public.
