Yes. Project Mercy is a great project. They do an excellent work educating the kids and giving them great moral compass.. I visited the school about five years ago. The kids are multi lingual with good future ahead of them. The elementary school teaching method should be a model to the rest of Ethiopia. When I visited five years ago, they had an American teacher, an Oromo and Gurage speaking teachers in the class to accommodate the needs of the different ethnic groups initially. If the Oromo speaking student does not understand what is said in English or the Gurage speaking has the same need, there is a teacher in the clas who explains the subject matter in the specific language. The teachers also spoke Amharic. Outside the class the kids communicate in all the three or four languages, Amharic, Ormomifa, Gurage and speak to the American teachers in English. I am sure this is still the case. This multi lingual abilities will help them to easily meet the challenges of the multi lingual ethnically divided nation. They will be equipped to work and get along in most of the homeland. I SUGGEST THAT THD MINISTRY OF EDUCATION LOOK AT THIS SCHOOL. THE ALREADY HAVE THE SOLUTION FIR THE COUNTRY’s EDUCATIONAL CRISIS THAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENTs.Thanks Mel. Thanks, Aklilu Demessie
