I love your work and your relationship. I lost my husband a year ago and we both had great sense of humors.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! Watching how fast time seems to go by makes me want to just soak it all up and cherish it all!
At first I didn’t like the placement of the new feet but after looking at the piece for a few minutes, I really like them!
I know what you mean, I had Dean hold them up for me a few times before committing on where to put them. Glad you like them too!
Elegant is the right word! Timeless could be another word. 😉
Yes, thank you!
The quality of your videos is terrific!
The edition of the legs or the bases that you add turn a dated piece of furniture into something timelessly beautiful. Keep up the goid work. You definately have a gift from God. Love your channel and your family.
Wow this is so cool. Idk how I ended up on this but I decided to watch till the end. Amazing job.
Oh lady you are one extraordinary, BEAUTIFUL amazing talented woman ever. God has truly gifted you. I’m ALWAYS in awe at your transformations. There is NOTHING that I’v watched that I did not 💕. I’ve shared with others as well. God bless and continue to bless you & hubby.(P.S my hubby can’t believe it 😂)
Omg!!! I just love all of your work!! Everything you do is just beautiful!!!
Aw, thank you so much, Jill!
Love that shot at 7:24. Nice touch. The piece turned out amazing.
The legs on this piece are just * chef's kiss * wow. Loved the color pick as well. Nicely done!

Oh, that looks lovely!! You put a lot of elbow grease into making a piece to be treasured. 😍👍
I love it. The feet are perfect.
Thank you! I like them too!
I hope that guy knows how lucky he is.. on multiple levels...
I sure do Genna! -Dean
After seeing the video I am sure she too is. He's generously complimenting her and proud of her. Unlike my own dad who was a hindrance in my mother's creativity.
I am not one to cover up beautiful wood with paint but I do like what you did with the base of this piece - the new feet - as well as the updated hardware.
I honestly feel the same most of the time! Thank you 💙
I think I am the only person I know that likes those style of dressers as is haha. If I didn't have bad taste I wouldn't have any taste at all! The finished dresser turned out 😍.
That very nice I really like the legs on it
I love those chubby little feet!! I think the cute feet and choice of hardware really transitioned the piece from Early American to farmhouse chic. Nice job as usual!
Jo
Thank you, Jo!
Another terrific end product. I love that you don't reveal the piece til the very end.
Thank you! Glad you like that, I think it makes for a fun surprise :)
The before legs were amazing
The color is great, and the wide, horizontal drawer pulls perfectly accent the wide drawers.
Absolutely beautiful!
That fly wanted to leave its touch on the piece tho 😂 dresser turned out great, I love that you chose different hardware for the upper drawers, the old handles being all the same was a little too much.
Haha yeah it did! And thank you!
Another beautiful transformation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love this piece. Love the color and the hardware. Fantastic job!

He is a good dad for sure! I like that Dean is catching some of my responses, I really do enjoy the result of each of them (even if some tempt me to throw them to the curb in the process haha).

Such a lovely turnaround. I was wondering how it would look when the corners at the bottom were being removed. But it looks so lively now!
Lovely.
Thank you! 😊
Love it!
Beautiful
Would love to see a secretary desk makeover!
I did one for my daughters room, but they don’t sell too well so I don’t typically buy them. I sure do love then though, I’ll keep an eye out for one!
Hey guys I got a question for ya. Any videos in that kitchen makeover?!?!? Looks beautiful!
I'll have to ask Dean if he has any video footage of that, we did that over a year ago :) We were just talking about helping some friends with their kitchen update so we could show a good cabinet makeover though!
@@diywife If you do that, would love to see it recorded and uploaded!
@@daveparker839 I agree!
I would love a tips and tricks for a kitchen reno!
Wow, nice work.👍
Love it
Gorgeous!!!! Love it!!! (Also, I'm not sure sharing your license plate number online is a good idea.)
Thanks! And yes, that was my fault- Dean, as the editor- who forgot to blur that out when working on this video!
Beautiful.
Your videos are awesome and very inspiring!!! I'm glad you decided to make them 😁
How do you send the furniture once someone has bought it?
Thanks!!
Love it 🙌🏾
You are stronger than me. I would have sprayed the Fly. 100%
This is so beautiful and elegant! I have a Pottery Barn dresser that looks exactly like this! I paid almost 1200$ for :/
Thank you! That's what I try and tell people who choke over the $5-600 prices... if you're shopping for a new one that's not from Ikea (nothing wrong with Ikea lol), it'll be at least double!
I need a paint sprayer because I like smooth paint!!
They really are a lot of fun :) If you have a large air compressor already, HVLP guns aren't too expensive!
Paint sprayer really get the job done fast
😍 Gorgeous
Hi guys. My name is Carlos. I was wondering, where do you sell your furniture through? I make my own furniture from scrap wood, but with the price if wood so high these days I’m considering doing some restoration projects myself. Thank you and keep up the great work. You are the one has inspired me to do this.
Nice job
AMAZING!!
Great project as usual! Love the piano in the home! Did you also refinish it? Haven’t seen such a beautiful piano, ever :)
Thank you!! I actually just recently finally refinished it :) Dean and I both play and my grandmother gave that to us. I waited over 5 years trying to decide if I really wanted to paint it, but it was this dark cherry wood (that was beautiful but SO red) that was just never going to really go with what I love so I finally went for it... so happy I did!
DIY Wife
That’s so awesome, such a talented family! It’s great that you finally took that leap of faith :)
Gorgeous transformation 🤩
Thank you!
the dresser is very good, why it was sold for only $40 in the first place.
As always very beautiful!!!!! Do you have to add water to the paint when you use your sprayer? Also where do you find the brown packaging paper with the tape already attached?
I'm totally new to painting furniture. Wondering why we should wash the furniture before we sand? Thanks!
Love your channel!!!!! Please more, lol😊. Question how long do you wait for primer/ paint/clear coat to dry before sanding and adding 2nd coat?
Haha man I so wish we could! Deans only making a couple dollars an hour at this point for these videos though haha. It varies depending on weather, but if it’s warm and not super humid my paint is dry in well under an hour, especially with lighter coats. I sand whenever it’s dry to the touch. :)
Can I ask what kind of prayer you use , I have a wagner but yours looks like it works so much smoother
It's a gravity fed hvlp gun (I linked it and a similar one in the description). The way it works is different than the Wagner ones and it does give a smoother finish. That can still be a great option getting started though!
Thank you
Nice!
Beautiful work, I love the staging of the piece! What is the blue guide you used to drill the new hardware holes? Thanks
Thank you! It’s a Kreg jig for cabinet hardware, I only wish I bought this one sooner! I linked it in the description :)
So two questions, did you paint your piano? It's gorgeous❤ Also I noticed you always cover the hardware holes then make new ones. May I ask why? Love your videos! I just sold my first piece today! I cried! LOL
I did, thank you! I waited about 7 years to do so and finally realized I was never going to like the VERY red color of the wood so just went for it and am so happy I did :). If the new hardware has different spacing, then I fill the old holes. If you just get hardware with the same spacing you don't have to do that (or reuse the old of course). And that is AWESOME, what a great feeling!
I love how you don’t put the finished product in the thumbnail. We like to be surprised!
I'm glad you said that, I was just telling Dean that I would almost always rather watch a video where I don't see the end result yet, so it's fun to hear someone else agree! Thanks for watching!
Could I get a link to the tool you used when drilling new holes for the hardware, please? Love your videos, so much ❤️
It’s actually already linked in the description, the Kreg hardware jig :) and thank you!!
Hello! Love your work. I subscribed to email list, wondering about the painting process pdf?
Hey Raven! You should have received an automatic email after subscribing that contained a link to download the PDF, let me know if it didn't work!
Beautiful. What is the blue tool for drilling perfect holes called?
Thanks! It’s a Kreg jig for cabinet hardware, I linked it in the description :)
Beautiful work! I also love the floral picture on top of the dresser!! Where did you get it?
Thanks! The frame from fb marketplace, then the print is a vintage print I downloaded from etsy!
What tool do you use to drill the new holes for the pulls? I would love to see a quick tutorial.
Beautiful as always! :)
It’s a from Kreg, Cabinet Hardware Jig, Item#: KHI-PULL
It works best with a Kreg Wood Project Clamp - 3", Item#: KHC3
Yes, what Stephen said :) it’s SO helpful! I linked it in the description, it comes with instructions and is super simple to use!8
So pretty! What color did she use?! 😍 @diywife
Thank you! I did a 50:50 mixture of fusion minerals algonquin and raw silk :)
