Generally speaking, not so much, that golfer, especially an on top golfer, would use more "shift and lift" sequence. However, there are no strict rules as to employing a mixture, as long as you CAN do it.

Does this work for a side/cover golfer? Seems like it’s a natural move for an under golfer.
