  • Remove and Install tapered wrist pin bushings. This example is a John Deere, another common one is Cummins. You can see the tool is 3 pieces. The main body with an angled wrap used to pressure the bushings out and in. The pilot, only used for keeping the bushing lined up during installation.

    Where can I find that tool to match the bushing to press in evenly? Do you need to hone the bushing to wrist pin spec after they are pressed in? Thanks for any info

      It is a home built tool. Made from 3 pieces. Look carefully and you will understand the method. Tools required are a lathe and a mill. Yes, the bushings require fitting to the pins after installation.
