Thanks for this review, but shotgun mics are not usually made to be directly held and talked into. I'd like to have heard how it picked your voice from a distance.
Mine didn’t come with the xlr cable right from the box , I texted it with battery on a Focusrite 2i2 and it’s works well and sounds better than Beringer B1 mic , I also tested with my zoom recorder H6 its works perfectly well the sound is amazing and I love the quality. The author should really check wether he got the original one 😊
I've been using this microphone for around 6 years now and it is fantastic in interviews on loud events. Yes, quality is not perfect, but does pretty good job only picking up in one direction.
Shotgun mics are made to be used overhead, but this review hasn't done any testing of it that way. That's one of the reasons you can't really tell if it's a good or bad mic
@@pawelmakesyoutubeOf course you can use different mics in much more scenarios, but shotguns - they're definitely not good for close-ups. The proximity effect is high on them. They're definitely work better overhead. Just try adding that in future in your reviews and everything's gonna be fine (as that's how most people look to use them)

Overhead is just one of the positions in which you can use a shotgun mic. But it does not mean they are ment to be used like that

Mine does not sound like that. I also use it in 24v. Even when I talk close to it, maybe it’s my voice. And it’s hooked up zoom H4N pro.
I have it one and IA USE IT FOR INDOORS ON MY OTHER PROJECTS. It works just perfectly well.
I've the same issue with mine, if I use the battery all is ok but when I activate the 48V Ph there's a huge amount of noise, crackle and hiss...
yup. I returned mine. Not worth it
Supposedly they will replace and that helps, but seems hit or miss

It has metalic tones. If I try to EQ it to bring back bass those metalic tones get stronger
These are meant to be used outside, on a boom, they are pretty good.
Can this be used for outdoor concerts? I unfortunately had poor sound with my phone camera and I am wanting to fix that.
I had 1000L shotgun. Self-noise awful. I do like their BY-M1 lav. Have 5 or 6 of them.
Are you sure the microphone comes with XLR to 3.5mm jack cable? From the website it does not say it comes with it
