Note that the whole thing was done in one take from a single camera. No cut-a-ways, no breaks, even with the flaming saxophone...lol. This is art. Nicely done.
PMJ does all their videos that way, as far as I know. It must take a lot of rehearsal for some of them. I admire the talent and the dedication to perfection.
@@MrJamberee I love the fact that not one of the singers take their eyes off the camera, even with a flamethrower going off a few feet behind them. Three very talented artists with a great backing band. In an age where everything is "enhanced" digitally, PMJ's live format is incredibly refreshing. Well done!

Hey folks! Stefan Zeniuk (the Flame-O-Phone player / creator) is answering your questions about the Flame-O-Phone in the comment section- so FIRE away (sorry!!)
Stefan Zeniuk Hey there, I'm a bari player myself, and had a few questions 'bout your horn setup. Does the flame affect the lacquer on the bell at all? I'd think that the heat might cause some of the lacquer to go dry and peel off, possibly. Also, is the flame actually responding to your inflections and airflow through the horn? From my understanding, unless you're hitting the low C-Bb areas, not much air really goes through the horn that far. Is there a mechanism that you're using to enhance the flame?
Nope, not really. The heat is very low-level, and brass has a very high melting point..... So no real damage. The only danger is for the heat to damage the pads, (felt and leather), but so far that hasn't been a problem.
The heat doesn't affect the lacquer because there isn't much left! It's a 1920 King, so pretty much all the lacquer is already gone. Regarding the mechanism, no, it's not responding to my breath. I have the propellant rigged up to a lever under neath my left thumb, where a "low A" key would be. So, I trigger the flame bursts, which also gives me the flexibility to time it musically and rhythmically
There is so much crammed into a little rectangle of sequentially moving images, along with a beautiful audio track, that I've had to watch and listen to this numerous times to take in every wonderful element. The vocals give me goosebumps, the instrumental elements work perfectly, and subtly, there's humour, and fire! It's a casserole of cleverness.
A decade has flown by, but this cover of "Burn" still blazes with intensity. Cristina Gatti, Robyn Adele Anderson, and Ashley Stroud have delivered an unparalleled interpretation of this classic song, each bringing their unique flavor to the mix. What truly stands out, aside from their vocal prowess, is the undeniable presence and beauty of these three artists. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
50+ videos later, this is still one of my absolute favorites. The vocal talent is just off the charts and the flame-o-phone is of course legendary. Thanks so much everyone!
I just can't get tired of this. Every musician in this video is great, and those three just seem perfect for this song. I went and watched what I think is the original, and this cover is infinitely better in my opinion. Thanks to all who made this better. I'm uplifted every time I watch it.

WOW! I didn't expect to hear three amazing voices like this. You usually hear One lead voice and 2 good backups, but we have three great voices rolled up in one group. love it!
I've only just discovered PMJ and I've been enjoying all their covers. Just booked tickets in London for their tour. Love this cover, love the first girls voice as I'm an Amy Winehouse fan, and just love the similar tone of her voice. The other two singers also have fantastic voices too, a real treat to hear them sing together! Played this and over and over in the last few day. Brilliant!!
Totally agree. That's Cristina Gatti on the left and her voice is just so perfect for this song. The other two are great as well, but I really just wanted to hear Cristina keep singing.
I'm totally addicted to your amazing voices & I've listened to more tracks than I thought possible & they're really all amazing. Many of their covers are actually better than the original songs, which shows how brilliant this channel. I fail in love with their cover of 'genie in the bottle' very talented people
Three amazing, beautiful, and very different voices. Great composition too, oh, and the face on the bassist when Mr Firesaxman starts belting out flames is brilliant!
The "shu-bi-du-bab" to shoulder coordination difference (0:35 - 0:54) between Christina Gatti and Ashley Stroud make the whole music video even more awesome!
All the music I payed no attention to, is now the most addictive repertoire. Thanks to these flawless and beautifully choreographed and arranged performances in stylistically superb presentations.
I can't stop... Something inexplicable is happening... For two weeks now, there hasn't been a single day that I haven't listened to them three or four times a day. Their performance works on me like a kind of magic. They simply hypnotize and mesmerize me with their incredible magical voices. As far as I understand, all of this is played "live" without any sound engineering processing. That is, it's pure acoustics. It's amazing...
Every time I check the original songs, I get disappointed. This is so good (and so much better, in my opinion :)) Great job, can't get it out of my head.
PMJ in 90% of cases improves on the original because - 1.) You can understand the lyrics. 2.) The arrangement is more "daring" the original. 3.) The idea of doing a "cross genre" version of the original makes it more appealing to a wider audience. 4.) There is something for everyone regards of your musical tastes! I find myself listening, and enjoying, songs by bands I have only heard the names of before.
+PostmodernJukebox hey thanks for the answer. Mr. Bradlee if its you, could you kindly tell me with what criterias you chose the songs to rearrange and to cover? Never understand why only Robyn Adele Anderson is on the title of the video, when they all three were equally in all aspects for me... nevertheless, superb job, one of my PMJ's favourite (and that's something)!
I know I’m late to the game with this, but every time I open my youtube app, this is the first thing that pops up. I was searching repair ideas related to my truck! I just can’t help but to watch this again. There’s always something different to take in every time I watch! So great on so many levels.
I know this was done 8 years ago and I'm late to the party but this is fantastic. Someone had to repaint the room because all of the smoke coming out of that sax. I played sax but I never played it that HOT!
The absolutely hilarious thing about this is that their voices are actually better than the singers they are covering. And, that's not intended to be an insult in any way to the original artists. These people are just FREAKING INCREDIBLE! And, that's funny because they aren't nearly as famous. Why? Because it's not "radio-friendly" enough. Unfortunate. And the really ironic part is that if they did get an agent that could make them more "pop culture" famous, they'd be shoehorned into making more songs like we already have plenty of instead of doing more of this. I suppose these people are a good example of there being more to being successful than famous. They're famous enough to have fun and make a lot of people happy. And, they do it using other people's fame. That's cool, but if they WERE more famous, then they'd have to come up with their own stuff. And, I'm sure they could, but it wouldn't be as fun as remixing songs into completely new and different stuff like they do now.
I think that Ellie is the exception, she really has an incredible voice, go and watch some live videos or acustic for the Radio 1 at the BBC in London. She killed it, and these girls doesnt have a better voice than her, just a diferent one
I've watched this video a ton, and it was what got me sold on PMJ. I can't say enough just how mesmerizing Robyn throughout the entire thing! Fire, indeed!!

The fire extinguisher atop the piano was a nice touch.

after 8 years still one of the best pieces I've ever enjoyed. just could not avoid keeping looking at that "burn" :)) masterpiece.
Just the fact that the flame-o-phone exists AND is able to be utilized so amazingly makes me happy. Let it burn!
Scott is normally so serious when he plays, but his smile when the sax fires up. Precious.
This is dedication. If every other performer had this same commitment to their craft the music industry would be a lot better.
I never get tired of watching and listening to this brilliant arrangement. Whoever said that nothing is perfect hasn't watched this. 💛💚💜🎵🎶
The contrast in the voices of the three ladies makes this one really work.

And, I'm sure they could, but it wouldn't be as fun as remixing songs into completely new and different stuff like they do now.
you're saying ellie goulding has a bad voice? listen to her control you fool
I never said anyone's voice was bad. I said these people had a better voice.
I think that Ellie is the exception, she really has an incredible voice, go and watch some live videos or acustic for the Radio 1 at the BBC in London. She killed it, and these girls doesnt have a better voice than her, just a diferent one
You are insulting Ellie

The girl on the left definitely has the best voice and totally rocked this song!! 👍
That’s Cristina Gatti.
Indeed! Her voice matches the jukebox vibe of the performance.

totally!
Most PMJ performances are better than the originals. Great arrangements. Great performances -- often with a wink.
@@katabaticair1 Exactly. No original is better than their covers
I sung this song in a talent show once. This cover made it possible for me to hear this song without cringing again.
"Flame-o-phone" is amazing omgg, I've watched this multiple time and just noticed that
Astounding!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Also the flame-o-phone is the most amazing version of this instrument that I've seen being a Saxophone fan!!!

I saw a fire preventing video lesson that started in similar way. Cant stop smiling, great harmony and humor.
I've watched this video a ton, and it was what got me sold on PMJ. I can't say enough just how mesmerizing Robyn throughout the entire thing!
