I built the WPL c34km and it's pretty cool, it crawls better than I expected and looks great. There is also a kit of this truck available with full metal upgrades included as well. Put a real servo in there, a 1060 hobbywing esc and have fun.
I had one a few years ago as my first rc. Tried to do some scale modeling and other modifications on it but basically it ended up being a good “learning” rig for me. Now, 20 some rc’s later and the upgrade parts options out there it’d be fun to give it another whack. It’s also be a good addition to our indoor off-road park!
This is a great in-between scale to have. 1/24 is perfect for indoors, 1/10 is to big for inside. This one can do it all, us it has a hard body to it. Great pricepoint as well. Wow, gonna have to look into these.
I would definitely give this to my son so we can hit the trails together! He would love it! He is only 5 and is always asking to run my rc's. He has mastered the toy grade rc's. We would have plenty of fun upgrading and scaling this truck out! It would give him a perfect platform to grow into. Good Luck to whoever wins!!
Always wanted a crawler. Wasn't sure which one of course because there are so many. After watching your video this one would be a nice starter crawler.
Just bought one for my nephew for Christmas so another for me or his Dad would do just fine! As a side note you can buy soft tyres from the kit version to improve traction.
WPL makes some pretty great little trucks, they're all a good middle ground between hobby, and toy class of trucks. Parts support is pretty decent on the website WPL.com I get mine on Amazon. These trucks have a lot of metal upgrades from drive shafts, axles, links, and even transmission cases. Which they actually have for their line of 6x6 trucks(I'm not too sure about the 4x4s) a two speed transmission with high and low gear functionality and it comes with a stronger 370 sized motor rather than the 180 sized motor. A 4 channel transmitter, and a sound board with V8 diesel sounds(for 6x6 trucks i think its different for the 4x4) Yes the plastic parts are little fragile its chinese after all, but it wont matter because the metal upgrades are pretty cheap in price and are widely avalable, I would recommend getting them on Amazon because they ship from the USA(that's just if need to have them already and don't have the patience to wait 2, maybe 3 months). If you're gonna keep reviewing their trucks I would absolutely recommend 1000% that you look at the WPL B36. It is bar and none a standard setter for greatness, no it's not a traxxas but it really doesn't need to be, it's an awesome truck for 60$ on Amazon that can do everything that the Traxxas TRX-4 can do. Great company, great products, I'm happy to have had my B36 for 6 months now. There's never not a time where I don't get a big grin on my face from driving it around.
If I got this it would be my first Rc tiny trail truck. I would have a lot of fun with it or give it to my dad or one of my friends who might wan't it.
Thanks Rich, as always great commentary. If I were lucky enough to win i would make it into a micro comp crawler look a like and upgrade the heck out of it, pinch the nose, dove the rear, slam it down as low as possible with some upgraded electronics. 🤞🤞
It would also be interesting to do a comparison with some of upgraded electronics and tires against something like the SCX24. I know the scale isn't the same, but both are targeting the lower price point. With the entry price below $60, there's quite a bit of headroom for upgrades.
If I win, the truck will go to my wife since she wants a crawler for Christmas and I am smart enough to not discourage my wife's interest in the RC hobby!
It dose look good for this size truck.i do remember the early 80. I had one you had to make up in a kit form .good model and surprised how quick it was to
I would love to customize this with every thing possible and keep it for an indoor crawler as I have a lot of snow here in Canada this time of year or maybe give it to someone less fortunate that really wants one I know a few people that would really enjoy it.
Hi Rich. If you choose my family, my boys would love to drive this truck. They are young and are tired of borrowing my car all the time. Thank you very much, Chris
Well, as a Toyota fanboy, I'd run this gem till the wheels fall off.... Then she'd go under the knife. I thibk it'd be ideal for inside operation or light duty fun in the front yard (flower beds).
If I won it, I would give it to my 4yr old little girl, she constantly plays with trx4 and loves going off road in my 83 Toyota, so this would just make her xmas
The appearance is quite good, but we bought some similar and is really only a toy. We also changed all electronics, servo and its links...but it remain a toy, not a mini scaler.
Beautiful!! I would probably try to upgrade it (like all of us would) get some good electronics in there do as much as posible to meek it a real crawler please chose me !! Thanks 🙏
Parts availability is very good, but you need to order from WPL themselves. As long as you don't mind the delivery time their customer service is second to none.
I would build a trailer with a cup holder, attach it to the truck and transport beer to me from the cooler. I need to teach my dog how to load a can of beer.
Metal drive shafts! Awesome 👍 you can get some good shocks for it for 15 bucks. I would give it to the little neighbor kid so he doesn't have to push his trucks around by hand anymore 👍🤙 also not going to comment a thousand times id rather win honorably than by spamming. Good luck my rc friends👍👍
I don't want it, but if you choose this post, I'd ask that it be donated to the Crawl 4 a Cure event that raises money for cancer research. They have a raffle fundraiser every year at their event
Hard left/right? The "-1" version is supposed to have proportional everything :(. That's a bummer. I would take it anyway, since ir has a bunch of upgrades...
GIVEAWAY CLOSED - Congrats to Racing2Learn for being randomly selected as the winner!
I would give it to a neighborhood kid as an introduction to RC.
Wish I had a neighbour like you😁

Nice!
So awesome you’re doing this! We’d give it to a child at our local elementary school that has a propensity for RC but not the means!
I would give this to my six year old Granddaughter. She has had toy grade for two years now, and this is a step into the hobby grade for her.
The good thing is that this model is upgradable to full metal for around $30
Also it should only be 5 screws to remove body 😉
correct

Brings back old memories. I had brand new Toyota truck in 1980.
i would give it to my son. his turning 6years old this coming 18. this would be a great gift😍
I would definitely give this to my son so we can hit the trails together! He would love it! He is only 5 and is always asking to run my rc's. He has mastered the toy grade rc's. This is a perfect truck for my son to work on and make his own! He would absolutely love it!

A good bag for the buck, a neat little truck
If I got this it would be my first Rc tiny trail truck. I would have a lot of fun with it or give it to my dad or one of my friends who might wan't it.
I would surprise my son for Christmas. My 5 year old wants a crawler so this would be a perfect way to introduce it to him!
I would add it to my tamiya toyata high lux, 1985 tamiya bruiser and my hg-p407 collection. Great review as always!
Wow thats an amazing price, when I saw the title I thought it was just a body for any crawler but no its a whole damn car.
I would give it to my nephew and enjoy a nice rc day with him
Very awesome! I'd definitely use it to get my kid into the hobby and making it her own! Obviously after I'm done playing with it! Lol
I would give it to my son. He has shown a lot of interest in these tiny crawlers.
Awesome giveaway ! Be fun to make some cool little crawler courses and let the grandkids have fun.
Thanks Rich, as always great commentary. If I were lucky enough to win i would make it into a micro comp crawler look a like and upgrade the heck out of it, pinch the nose, dove the rear, slam it down as low as possible with some upgraded electronics. 🤞🤞

This truck looks sweet. It will go to my son and I’ll have to look into getting a second one for me so we can drive them together.
That is a nice looking rtr, I would give it to my nephew as his first RC truck
This would be the loaner crawler for my backyard course.
I've never had a crawler. Looks like a good introduction RC.

I would add it to my RC truck collection and also let my grandson try it out.
This would be a great starter for my 2.5 yo son. Was actually looking at them for Xmas.
Run it with my scx24
For the price, that is pretty nice! I would buy one and give one to my brother so we could have the same kind of truck to competing with each other.
Well, as a Toyota fanboy, I'd run this gem till the wheels fall off.... Then she'd go under the knife. I thibk it'd be ideal for inside operation or light duty fun in the front yard (flower beds).
I'd definitely hook my daughter up with this, she's been wanting something to go out with!!
I would of love to upgrade it and see what affordable modification to fix that throttle control
@The RCNetwork I would obviously run it for myself but ultimately hand it off to my nephew so he can crawl with my SCX24
Really like it. Would love to take it on the local crawler course!
They have a ton of upgrades available for these trucks at reasonable prices too.
If I won it, I would give it to my 4yr old little girl, she constantly plays with trx4 and loves going off road in my 83 Toyota, so this would just make her xmas
Nice Rich! I would give this one to my wife ;) Good starter trail truck!
I would slowly upgrade it. Banggood and Aliexpress have tons of parts for WPL's, MN's, etc. 😁
If I won I’d give it to some deserving kid that just can’t afford to get one in life right now but really likes the rc hobby
Same
The appearance is quite good, but we bought some similar and is really only a toy.
We also changed all electronics, servo and its links...but it remain a toy, not a mini scaler.

Take it to the beach. Aloha!
I would build one as a crawler and the other one as a lowered AWD drifter.
I would drive over Legos with it when it's raining/snowing outside or us it when my main rig is broken.
I would try to upgrade as much as possible and then give it to my 6 year old for Christmas.
