    He tried he's best.
We all will be at his age someday. The audience knows this. They still respect him. They still support him. Still cheer for him.
    RIP to a legend

Yup I've followed meat since bat came out and saw him 7 times over the years... The passion never ever left, but yes, come to 90s live, his voice did weaken...but the passion never left... But alongside Jim Steinman (the genius writer the likes of which we shall never see again) who also sadly died this year, they were a magic that shall last an eternity...
Meat, Jim, thank you for a lifetime of memories....
Btw, as you enjoyed the band... Meat loafs band were called the Neverland express..

Meatloaf was a spectacle and it’s beautiful to see him give his best to his fans all the way until the end of his life. Thanks for reacting man, this is such a showcase of the Meatloaf band lol like militant discipline

I saw Meat in the Bat out of Hell concert in Sydney many years ago. He introduced himself as the Pavarotti of rock and roll. Years later I also saw Pavarotti in concert. They were both amazing in their own way. ❤❤

When I first saw that you chose a video from 2011 I thought you wouldn't like it because by that time Meat's voice wasn't what it used to be. But I'm glad that you got it. Meat's extraordinary talent is not only his voice but also his passion and his acting skills. He always emphasized that he considered himself first and foremost as an actor, secondly as a singer/musician. But if you want to discover how great his voice really was you should try some of the older videos. "Bat out of hell" would be a nice one. But there are other gems like "Read 'em and weep", "Everything louder than everything else" or "Bad attitude".

This is old meatloaf and old meatloaf was very unwell in many ways and certainly nowhere near how he was as young meatloaf, but he was still meatloaf and nobody else can do rock opera like him, except Bonnie Tyler

Meatloaf's voice was shot by this stage of his career.

He's definitely struggling a lot more here. Earlier version are much more in it. I'm not knocking him! He's amazing. Just saying

He had a lot of health issues. Mostly weight related. I don't think he smoked, or did drunks, or even drank heavily. But by the 80's and 90's the damage had been done even though he lost weight. Then COVID, so a combination of things.

Oh man. I love the Loaf, but that was just torture to the ears. Looks like it's from around the time of the infamous AFL Grand final performance.

Absolutely love love love this song. Both of them are incredible. I have to say it’s not Meatloaf’s best performance of this song. But I agree with you. Ick, his emotion is just amazing. There are definitely better videos of this being sung live

I’ve never seen this version but I’m know I am not a fan of meatloaf live . It is him a it later in loaf but what made this song incredible was the passion . You’ve heard the sound track and it’s very different . Love meatloaf rip xox

I know you've been told a million times; watch the music video. This is a good performance, but, with all due respect to a tremendous artist, he wasn't in the best of health. He puts 110% into every performance, and you could tell this was a struggle for him. His death was such a profound loss to music.

Dont like it when people request meatloaf at the end of his career. His voice was failing...His concerts 10 years earlier were amazing.

I LOVE Meatloaf but he cannot sing live. He's always behind the arrangement and then he has to catch-up, so he speaks instead of singing. It's so frustrating. There is no flow with the melody. It's because it's not that he didn't still have the ability to sing, he just didn't do it. Thank God for Patti Russo. She saves every song.
