Stress reliever is exactly right! I'm a reloader and I love putting on a background movie or music and just go to town with my press. I get so focused on on my progress that I forget all about my daily troubles. It can be very therapeutic.

I bought one of the Lee Load All's back in 1983. I used it to reload 12 gage hulls until 2000 when I bought a MEC 600 Jr.
I used that Lee LA while I was Stationed in Germany from 1985 to 1988. It was a great tool and very versatile.

I bought one of these about 10 years ago and it is still going strong. The only thing that i do is lube the handle once in awhile. I have loaded thousands of rounds. I love this loader. I can load a box of 25 in about 15 minutes. This is a great starter loader.

Vic VicIrish well it all depends on how much you want to spend. I bought my LEE load all 2 fir $40 new and that was 10 years ago. I enjoy reloading. Yes I want to reload fairly quickly but I also find it very relaxing. I put on my music and Just reload until I don’t want to anymore. I usually have an idea of how many boxes I want to get done. Also it’s very hard to make a mistake with the LEE. Not sure about the MEC. I hope this helps.

    • @ivanwesley8182
      @ivanwesley8182 Год назад

@@vicirish74 I just started about a month ago with the mec jr. They look fairly similar, but the mec is all metal and you have to buy the different size bushings and charge bars, which can get pricy. The only red flag I see in this video is that it seems to be spilling powder, so the bushing doesn’t seem to be sealing well. If Lee offers a remedy, then I don’t see how you can beat this for $50.

Thanks for telling the truth of the ups and downs of reloading on this press. All reloading equipment has it's ups and downs. For the money and reliability, lee reloading equipment is the best way to get your money's worth. All ammo that I have reloaded on lee reloading equipment is top notch. Any inferior ammo that I reloaded, was my fault , not the equipment.

Hello from Montana!!!! I want to thank you for making this video!!! I never reloaded shotgun shells before and now with the way things are going crazy I am forced to reload some buckshot rounds!!! LOL..!!! (I have 500 rounds of 00 Buckshot but I want #4 in 3 inch)
I have called over 50 online ammo supply stores and no one has #4 buckshot 12 gauge 3 inch with 41 pellets..
I want to load some 3 inch #4 buckshot with 41 pellets..I will buy this press and manually put the buckshot and buffer in each shell.
    and then finish loading it.
I want to thank you for showing me the basics for bird shot and now I will load about 500 rounds of buckshot in 3 inch with the 41 pellets.
I have my own business taking people shooting guns and on adventures here in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, so...
If you are ever in Montana give me a call and I will take you on a free scenic adventure for having this video for me to figure out exactly what I wanted and needed to buy for a press.
All you have to do is click on any video of mine and I have a link in every video to my website and you can easily get a hold of me there.
Thank you again for everything, you made it super easy what press to buy...MTJOA
P.S...The funny comment about Ted Nugent on this post is Ted Nugent and my friend are good friends and he comes here to Montana hunting and would stay at his house...He would pick him up in his 1973 Ford High Boy at the airport...lol.

I love my Lee Load-All II!
    I bought one in 12ga.
Every year at the Dove Opener I would collect a big bag of empty hulls and throw them away. It didn't make sense. Then ammo got harder to find. I bit the bullet and bought a Load-All II for $59
It's very easy to use and it makes great rounds! They shoot way better than any of the cheap WalMart bulk ammo I used to use. You can reload rounds pretty darn quick once you get a rhythm going.
I later bought a 20ga conversion for it off of Amazon for around $20. Easy to switch calibers! It works great too!
Be careful of the 2 screws that hold down the front plate over the charge bar. It is easy to strip them.
I highly recommend the Lee Load-All II! Great bang for the buck!

I like shooting 00 buck and slugs and getting into my hunting game for deer this season in nov so was gonna pick me up a shotgun of my own instead of using my buddys 12g he has a crap load of shells me and him have shot and when I was talking about why he had so many and kept them he talked about how his grandfather reloads them so he would toss me a few 100 empty shells but I gotta order my own primers and wades and powder. Great video. Thanks. I'm thinking of getting one. None of the guys I talked to recommended this one though, I don't really want to invest $1K and spend the next 2 years waiting for it to pay for itself. I just need something simple and effective and somewhat efficient. I plan to load maybe 100rds a week/every other week or so. Will these hold up for years to come under that loading routine?

Dusty Savoy - just saw this video and your post a year after you posted it. My suggestion is to save your money and don't waste it on a Lee Load-All! I had one and it was junk. Buy a Lyman or a MEC reloader for Shotgun shells! Save yourself lots of headaches. The 'Lee load-all' dispensed Shot with the Powder and Powder with the shot. Ugh.

So birdshot only? Can it do buck-shot, slugs?

Well you cannot "feed" slugs through the hopper, but yes, if you load the payload by yourself and maybe your own roll crimper.

i received my Lee Load All 2 today. In going over the parts to assemble and so on I came across a black plastic piece that looks like a bushing and has the number 12 on it and the throat is serrated or cut. The instructions give no clue what this is for at all. Do you know?

Don't fill the shot hopper and just push in your slug at that stage of the loading process, simple.

All the machines online are either 20 or 16 gauge. Is it because all the 12 gauge units are sold out or something?
