@ColgateGator sure the prehistoric animal is that contended with Smilodon totally is not bigger than the modern-day animal not to mention all that hair
What dude above me said. The tusks are curved inward, so it's quite difficult for the mammoth to try to stab the elephant. Also, take in count that elephants (and all of their relatives) don't use their tusks to stab, but rather to hit
Remember, Neanderthals used to survive attacks and hunt these beasts, they didn't use any long ranged weapons like spear or bows, just rocks, which shows how much stronger a Neanderthal is than a Homosapien (Modern human)
Neanderthals were strong and intelligent but their inability to adapt made them perish, something that homosapiens fortunately have is our ability to adapt.
in some documented cases they would scare them until they fall off a cliff, so humans where more strategic with their hunting rather then just full frontal assault
This is pretty debatable, on one hand the African Elephant's tusks are facing forward towards its opponents which gives an advantage over the Woolly Mammoth, on the other hand the length and curvature of the Woolly Mammoth's tusks could also prove to be useful in combat considering the fact that proboscids rather push than stab each other during combat
nope they scientist confirmed that wooly mammoths will return in the year 2027 or later they found the full dna and will bring that beast to life through cloning and same with sabertooth tigers@@DinoFan1993
It would be animal cruelty the mammoth would go extinct really quick AGAIN if we brought it back we should instead focus on trying to preserve the species we already have

Woolly mammoths were roughly the same size as african bush elephants, although there was species like Columbian mammoths, and steppe mammoths that were significantly larger than modern elephants.
That's what new studies shows time when made more studies than before. I don't know when more studies made but in 2001 was thought fully grown adult male Woolly Mammoth bigger than fully grown adult male African Savanna Elephant also called African Bush Elephant. Now Woolly Mammoths might be same size with Asian Elephant or African Forest Elephant.
As for hypothetical contests against African elephants, it depends which mammoth. The Pygmy mammoth, which stands barely as tall as a human, would stand no chance. The Wooly mammoth would be at a slight disadvantage, probably. A Steppe or Columbian mammoth would laugh at the puny African, if they could laugh. @@frostbitetheannunakiiceind6574 What he meant to say was that size is measured in overall mass in which height and length only play a portion. There so many uncertainties and unknowns around prehistoric fauna and such videos about who wins who are a bit pointless and childish and that comes from a massive Prehistory fan and upcoming Paleoartist
I'm a massive prehistory fan too. Yeah animal debates are very trite I admit, but it's just for fun after all. I still enjoy learning about paleontology, I'd still take Ben G Thomas over any animal debate youtuber any day. In the beginning I was an animator of these such things, I still think animation is a more respectable approach to animal debating, since its an actual simulation, better yet if the two animals actually coexisted. It just so happened I got roped into all of this animal debate edits which I once again admit, are very stupid. I understand what you're saying and stuff, I only do this for fun, and I do have plans for long form videos that are actually educational. You are right, there's better ways to express your interest in prehistory/nature on the internet than versus edits. I just need to look for one.
Elephants would definitely get battle iq. Considering that old age humans hunted them and they had a hard time thinking of a way to fight back against projectiles while elephants would use bluff charges to see if the opponent is a threat or afraid, if it gets tricked by bluff charge then elephant would most likely chase it. And considering the fact that woolly mammoth has fur, which would likely get more heat while running. Elephant gets endurance. Thus elephant has more strategies in battle iq but prove me wrong if you want to.
I say the mammoth could win the fight dude I mean seriously it has longer tasks then modern day elephants these creatures have got extinct around 10,000 years ago Andy’s prehistoric Woolymammoth a shoulder height of 12 feet in length the elephant has 10 feet in length so the winner is the mammoth 👑 🦣

The tusks are curved inward, so it's quite difficult for the mammoth to try to stab the elephant.
Also, take in count that elephants (and all of their relatives) don't use their tusks to stab, but rather to hit
