Yes, I enjoyed it I'm a sloppy sewer so I love watching someone sew that is methodical and precise it shows how amazing your dresses turn out. I'm trying to slow down and be more precise when I sew I tend to rush and then get annoyed when I make mistakes 😆
Thank you! I do agree, I also achieved the best outcome when I take my time with a project. Usually when you rush something you have to make it twice in my experience:)
What I find most absorbing about your art here in the video world is that you've found a way to create art on multiple levels at once. You're telling a story of designing a dress from start to finish in literal 2- and 3-D levels of drawing, crafting, wearing. You're telling the story of the process through the art of your editing in this format. And then on a high meta level, it's a story of the joy of the creative process itself. I'm always so inspired by your craft. Mine manifests differently, yet is always inspired by being in your ambiance for a spell!! 💕
Well stated, i definitely concur w/your observations-it’s truly remarkable what she accomplishes within her “craft” & workmanship-mind blowing-REALLY!!!
I realize that I have watched right handed sewing for so long that watching it done left felt backwards...and I'm a left handed lol. Watching you in your element is truly something special. Thank you
So... you're a clothing designer. It amazes me how you start from a drawing on paper, then make the patterns and then go through the various processes to build a garment. That is art at its finest. Gorgeous dress by the way.
I found this video fascinating, you are a true dressmaker and it shows in your finished garments. It was a pleasure to watch the process and your dress was perfectly dreamy, thank you for sharing...
I love having both kinds of videos! Thank you for keeping them on the same channel too, rather than make a separate channel for a slightly different type of video like a lot of creators have been doing. I like having them in the same place. What a gorgeous video.
Ever since I found this video I put this video on if I’m crocheting or trying to get my baby to sleep. I’m addicted to this type of content. It’s relaxing and I can see your passion in this video. I need more
absolutely gorgeous❤ thank you so much for sharing. This brought me back to my college days... I was an animator and my roomie was in fashion design(you could always tell who the designers were on campus because they always showed up to classes in their messy hair and PJs, because they barely slept the night before). At some point my roomie let me help her make designs and taught me patterns. It was so much fun❤
You're amazing! Your garments aren't just clothes, they're ART! You inspire me to actually take my time when I sew, to not rush, finish the seams properly (I'm too lazy otherwise) and make sure the garment is beautiful inside too. ❤
Thank you! When I thought about posting this a lot of people actually told me, that it could be useful for someone with adhd! I’m glad it is actually helpful and I love the idea of working together this way 🥰
2nd video watching of your process…So deeply calming & INSPIRING….. U R obviously an old soul -to be so young, yet so uniquely immersed in your innate talent & sharing here w/all of the world to see is such a gift! I truly can’t help but wonder how someone so young has learned how to 1) draw/sketch the design 2) make their own patterns and/or alter them to create modified designs and then 3) sew the final creation of what appears -impeccable workmanship-It absolutely blows my mind all the talent that exists within U to be able to do this!!!!! Glad your channel popped up on my feed, appreciate the inspiration that exudes on so many levels…!!!…😱❤️🙏🌞❗️
Remind me of the dress that Feyre was wearing. The description in the book had this magical feel to the dress that you created, amazing work. (ACOTAR serie btw.)
100% cotton velvet is beautiful, I can't think of another fabric that can match it. The garment you made in this video was beautiful too, I will definitely watch your other videos, and I do upholstery and soft furnishings.
So seeing how you install an invisible zipper just changed the way I will install frome now on, it’s soo smart and will likely never fe fault in the teeth. Also I’v never seen such an in-depth step by step on how to use Taylor’s tacks. I prefer wight pen but you bet I’m going to keep this in my back pocket for cutting out slippy fabric 😊
Thanks for making this video, I enjoyed it immensely. KUDOS for lining the dress. Clothes with linings are very rare these days. The majority of lined clothes are the ones that I designed and sewed. Although your methods are a bit different than mine, I do appreciate watching how you and others do it. After 43 years of sewing, there is something that I can learn from others. Taking the time and care for each project really is worth it and I wish that most sewers would do it. Your dress gave me some ideas for 6 meters of red stretch velvet in my stash.
There is a film about a woman who got a well made dress, it was sweet in that there was a really sweet message that it taught. Gee wish I could remember its name.
I love this idea, you have no idea how much. I enjoy the instructional videos a lot, but I also use them to simply relax. This version manages to do that even better.
It might be weird but you have the most elegant hands! Like they're so long, efficient dextrous. Man the artist in me is like.....this would be such good hand reference haha.
Your hands are beautiful, not just in appearance but in the artistry and meticulousness of your movements, it’s really elegant! Also I love the cronching sound of the scissors through the velvet 😂
so i wasn't even a minute in, im brand new to sewing and i just felt empowered and wanted to cry within a minute of this video. ive only watched one other of yours, the custom mannequin one. and i love your videos already. theres magic to be made!
Woah, I can clearly see your effort in the result. Hats off man! Trust me, I haven't seen as much relaxing video as this one ever before...You make the process look so easy🥺
What a beautiful video. I absolutely love watching you sew, well it's so much more than " sewing " ... your creations. You are so incredibly talented, inspiring and beautiful to watch. The dress, of course is stunning! 🎉 Wishing you a happy and safe New Year! Audri
Thank you for the inspirational video. I stopped sewing long ago but now I wish I could resume where I stopped. I've lost many of my skills but perhaps it'll come back once I restart working.
The parts of the dress look really pretty, but I would have really liked to see the full body picture of the dress. I still have no idea what it looks like on you. That was frustrating.
I love your camera angles and the soft lighting. And the dress 😍 it's gorgeous. I can't imagine how long it took and the amount of patience just to sew on each of those pearls
This is so beautiful. Congratulations to you! I was so intrigued I had to click on it; I'm working on a slightly similar dress (the bodice & sleeves are much simpler, though)- & instead of pearls, it's delica beads & some crystals I have.
I was just thinking about how somebody needs to make a sewing ASMR video! I love the sounds you incorporate into your videos. I think there's something about hearing the scissors on fabric and little snips that feels very comforting. I love sewing so much and it's really relaxing to put this on while I'm working on a project. Also, I am working with stretch velvet right now, so I need the extra relaxation, haha!
Thank you! I often don’t listen to music while sewing, because I love the sound of it so much too! So I love to incorporate them into my videos:) I hope the video brought some relaxation to you! I wish you all the best for your project 🥰
I was so confused when you said 'Starry Night' and the dress was staying black the entire time; I thought you were making a dress based from The Vincent Van Goph painting😅 It's still stunning and very elegant!
This is the very first video of yours that I watched ma’am…It was really soothing to watch you create something so magical in a calm manner..glad to have found you..subscribed..looking forward for more videos in future!😍😍
Just perfect. Drives me crazy when people don't pay attention to the detail. Noticed you don't have a special walking foot on your machine. Does the velvet not move through at different rates? For those of us without an overlocker or dress forms, it's a thought to attempt something like this, but one day soon ...
I thought so too, but when sitting on something softer (like a car seat for example) it’s almost not noticeable:) if it’s still bothering you could always pull the skirt up a bit while sitting
It would be really great if we could actually see the dress at the end instead of a few close-up twirls. I have no idea what the dress looks like beyond that it has a pretty pearl pattern and beautiful neckline.
i love this video! i also loved your other video of starry night dress! it was such a gorgeous work! art of filmmaking taken to a beautiful level! thank u for these soothing inspiring content. does anyone help you in the filmmaking process? or are you a one woman show? show us some behind the scenes too. thank u beautiful soul for existing and being u.
Thank you so much! 🥰 whenever there is a shot where you can see me and the camera moves, I asked my boyfriend to film. He also does the drone shots when there are some I a video. Other than that I film everything by myself and edit the videos too! I can definitely show some more of the process itself in the future 🥰
@@friedalepold i'd love to watch your filmmaking process, especially as a self learning filmmaker! it is so beautiful to watch an artist at work. this channel shows quality is always above quantity. would love to know more about you too, like how you learned sewing, how u come up with these beautiful designs etc. will be so inspiring to watch. 🥰🥰 your videos fills my life with hope. thank u.
I just found your videos and promptly watch all of them. You are so inspiring. I am so inspired to sew methodically and patiently. You have driven home the mock up process which is something I struggle with. So thank you! Would you be willing to share where you get your pattern paper supplies?
Yes, I enjoyed it I'm a sloppy sewer so I love watching someone sew that is methodical and precise it shows how amazing your dresses turn out. I'm trying to slow down and be more precise when I sew I tend to rush and then get annoyed when I make mistakes 😆
saaaame. must. be. patient.
Thank you! I do agree, I also achieved the best outcome when I take my time with a project. Usually when you rush something you have to make it twice in my experience:)
May I ask what vintage is your sewing machine? I think its beautiful.
It is so dark I don’t see all the tight photos.
Omg I read "I'm a sloppy sewer" as in waste drainage. I'm so sorry 😆

It’s so hard to find sewing asmr videos with peaceful music in the background. Thank you for this content 🙏🏾 it’s perfect! Please make more.
Agree. You are "the Queen of sewing videos". Thank you for teaching us your methods. It's like a Zen teaching.
Your craftsmanship is off the charts! Thank you for sharing all of your creations (and the process of creating) with us.
Thank you so much 🥰 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
This video was the most relaxing and beautiful thing I've watched all week. That gown deserves to be on display it is jaw-dropping gorgeous!
Thank you so much! And I’m glad you enjoyed the video and it could bring a bit calmness into your week 🥰
A cloudy winter afternoon, a hot cup of tea and a relaxing sewing video from Frieda. Perfect. The dress is gorgeous!❤
Thank you so much 🥰 I’m glad you could enjoy it!
That iron is otherwordly. So futuristic looking and beautifully designed. I even love the sounds it makes when it's steaming.

Love this, so glad to have discovered your channel today.
It's quite literally the dress from Moonacre but more structured in terms of pearl placement (i think)
Absolute perfection👌👌✨✨
