Ignore the negative comments-I am enjoying the beauty that you have produced. It’s your home and it should please you first of all. There is a sense of calm in your design.
Why, why even say anything if it’s not a nice thing. People are something else. 😢
Probably some of the negativity comes from Linda’s followers. They just can’t wrap their heads around the fact that it’s Sydney and Tommy’s now. The uncluttered areas are so much better now.
@@jgwood10I’m new to this channel and confused so this was Linda who’s house/ yard?
@@jgwood10I must live u dear a rock 😂 Linda vator! I didn’t realize she moved because I never watched her I’m more of a garden answer/ and others - I thought I recognize the house but didn’t put two and two together until after my question! Lol but I do want to say I love Sydney and she’s more my style🥰🪴
Sydney do you have any idea how far or how deep you’re still edging goes into the ground
Sydney, your front yard is beautiful! I love that shot from the street.
I really would like to see people stop trying to pit Sydney and Linda against each other. I never once heard either one say a negative thing about the other. Each one of these lovely ladies are making their yards beautiful and in their own style.
Exactly, I couldn’t say it better. Let each live their lives.
Amen !!!
I'll AMEN! this too. I've never read such nonsense and awful things people have said. Sydney has every right as the new homeowner to do what she and her husband want to their yard. And Linda...Yes she loved this house but she no longer lives here and is making her new home beautiful in her way. It is sad what people has said and will continue to say in their ignorance. These two women are friends and neighbors...it's the viewers of their channels that has tried their best to pit them against each other. I hope they can behave and stop with being ugly. Makes you ashamed of knowing these are actually grownups doing and saying these things. Good Grief!
Totally agree!
I think that there is a lot the same between Linda’s house and this house. I just found this and am Amazed. The bricks are same colour and both have grey windows and the same black railings. And very similiar gardens. Except I like this better
I really do not know how anyone could say anything negative about what you have done in YOUR yard. It is simply incredible. I love your design style.
How many of us when Sydney was planting that boxwood in the front was saying...turn it., turn it, a little more, good! ??? The progress is great, love how your yard is looking Syd!!!
Yes!!
Oh my I do that too . I talk or motion like they can hear me !!
I have followed Linda's channel for years and always thought she had a beautiful garden; however, I absolutely love what you've done in YOUR GARDEN. I never knew how big the back yard was or how beautiful the back of the house is. Heck, I didn't even know that the garage was detached. What's the fun in maintaining someone else's garden? The best part of gardening is the planning, creating and watching your own space come to life over the years. You've got a great eye and your garden is really shaping up and looking fantastic! Happy Spring!
I cried with what you have done with the most beautiful garden in America.
Your front yard looks absolutely gorgeous, and I love the simple, clean look in both your front and backyards. It's looking great. You also give me great ideas for my yard.
DEAR SYDNEY, LITTLE BY LITTLE YOUR BACKYARD START SHOWING HIS BEAUTY. GOOD JOB SYDNEY.
The front yard with the purple tulips and the boxwoods is a beautiful combination… very elegant and soothing! You are doing a great job. The backyard is reflecting your hard work and looks nice with the lush green grass. The transformation is amazing! 😎
I can't believe people!!!! We all like to have our own mark on our homes. In or out. It's so satisfying. Don't listen to them. Your front yard is very beautiful. Now have fun creating the feel you want in the back yard.
Love, love, love, the monochromatic look of the tulips. So sophisticated. 🌷🌷🌷
Front yard - those purple mass planted tulips really pop providing a much-needed color to the front yard. Congratulations on getting it beautified!
I think everything is looking fabulous! Its more cohesive now I think. More peaceful.
Sydney, I look forward to your posts! 😊
I like the opened up garden you created. Looking forward to seeing your placement as summer comes up. 🥰🌸🌷
Your color scheme in the front with those purple tulips is gorgeous.
I happen to love different greens and textures. Can't wait to watch this come together. This house is definitely yours.
OMG ! Ive been gardening for 50 years and ive NEVER thought to put the black pot in, fill the dirt and slip the plant in !!!!!!!!! Proof..... you can learn more, more and more❤
It’s so serene and elegant.
I agree 100% you should make this home yours from the inside out while maintaining it's history. For those with negative comments.... How many of you buy a home and think I have to keep it like the previous owners? Your doing a great job making this your own! Hope you have many wonderful gatherings under this roof.
Completely agree. I’m selling my house with my first cottage garden , filled with blooms. I heard through the grapevine the buyer is a Gardner and that absolutely thrills me. I don’t care what she does. Im just happy she is one of us and I bet Linda feels the same way.
You and Tommy have accomplished so much inside and out in a short time . Your front is exguisite !!
All is looking beautiful! I love the shades of green out back. Love color of tulips up front. What a great day of cleanup. Thank you for letting us hang out with you both. Happy Gardening❤
The front yard is beautiful! I love the big rocks/stones. They look like they have always been there, same as in the back. Looking good! Happy to see your pup and kitty cat helping you in the garden. 😊😻
You have a very good vision of how you want things. Everything looks so beautiful. I could never have done it.
wow Sydney - that studio Garage looks AMAZING.......... how beautiful...I am thoroughly enjoying how you are designing YOUR GARDEN.........
I'm such a garden-junkie that when you say "Went to the garden center" and then show us what you bought-- there's a part of my brain that gets a hit/lights up, lolol. (I reckon I am not alone. 🤣) REALLY LOOKING BEAUTIFUL, love your style. 🙌🏼
Your backyard grass really established itself already! Clean up is never fun, but always rewarding. You guys work so hard, looks great already. 🌿🌿🌱🌸
Sydney, please remind me what type of grass you planted in the back yard. (Zoysia. fescue?) It's gorgeous! The back yard is really shaping up and the front is beautiful. 🌿🌿
You should add a third matching planter w/boxwood to the left side of the garage to balance the other two.
Also I would add the planters to conceal sharp corners of that step to the garage.
Place is absolutely beautiful, I love that color in front, place is coming together, the new fence once you decide exactly how will look so cohesive with the rest of the place. I really like the rust look
Everything works together so well. Just beautiful 💕
Your backyard is coming right along! Love the redbuds and snowball! Hope you bring us along for the ride as you begin planting! So lovely!❤❤❤
Sydney, I love that you started with a new slate in terms of your vision for the front and back garden. It helped those of us working to make our gardens our own, and to redirect in changing what was before. Although I was the one who original planted willy nilly, I needed more cohesion and all season interest in my very small front and back patch. Thank you for all the hard work you and Tommy have put in and your generosity in sharing your vision and hard work. This season you can sit back and enjoy the past year's investment in the garden. Cheers🥂
Love all the green on green, lime green and purple. The frontyard is gorgeous.
Dear Sidney, I love your sweet, honest approach to sharing your garden and life with us. Keep up the good job!!! We travel to OKC for family, would love to meet you sometime !
looks beautiful. very beautiful.
Your yard is so beautiful I love tulips! Thanks for sharing
Everything looks wonderful! That’s the fun thing about gardening, you’re always working on something! Looking GOOD 💚💚💚
The front yard with green and purple is beautiful. All the tones of green in the backyard will be stunning. I love it.
I love the chartreuse green with the purples- that is my favorite color pallette❤❤❤
Love your beautiful yard and gorgeous home!!!
I absolutely love everything you have done to the gardens!! I think this is the first time I have ever seen a fire in the “pit”.
It's looking beautiful and feels really peaceful.
Those purple tulips look devine. Backyard is really inviting. Nice to see the fireplace burning.
I really love how the front yard looks and back yard is looking good as well
Love the purple tulips. I also like the dark deep green against the vivid purple.
The backyard looks so soft and cozy. Loving it.
Best looking lawn in the neighborhood. Back yard is coming along nicely. Have you thought about loosening the soil a little around the center holly bush using a short stake with a strap to straighten. Same thing with the crooked juniper. Water good. It doesn't take long to correct.
Love a fig tree. I planted Texas Everbearing and Brown Turkey Fig. Really taking off with our Texas spring rains. Can't wait. Have a great week.
I'm in love with your yard. Purple is my color.
I really appreciate your design ability inside and out. Your front garden (tulips) are outstanding. I really like your plans for an all green back garden. I think I will try the multi shades of green in a bare area in my yard
Just beautiful! I love everything you have done! Enjoy your cocktails you deserve it😊
Love the transformation! So clean and tidy with beauty 💜💜💜💜💜
One big point, negative people didn’t say. With the purchase of your property, you didn’t find instructions from a prior owner, do not change. Quite insane to think, you shouldn’t do what you want.
Fellow green on green with chartreuse lover here 🙋♀️ I’m glad you mentioned the vine has stayed quiet. You’ve done great maintenance and repair that comes with an older home. The front is amazing.
Sydney, your gardens are looking very pretty especially the front blooms and I love the hollies at the back X
Beautiful gardens! Love the progress. I am in Jenks and I did my backyard with shades of green mixed with dusty miller. I use stonecrop sedum as a filler and Spiller in containers. It is vibrant and very easy maintenance. Very similar color as your moss.
It’s coming along so nicely, I just loved hearing those birds sing their spring songs! I always look forward to a “ visit with Sydney!” 🇨🇦🌹🇨🇦
I really love the way the house looks now. Much more stately. The stone on the house looks more cohesive now that the house its self is more visible. Great job on that!!!
The front looks beautiful! Back is also coming along. TY for sharing.
Beautiful Beautiful job!!! The front is gorgeous and I know the back will be how you want it soon.
The front yard looks lovely, I really like the colors! So much progress on your yard.
Sydney...loving everything... those purple and pink tulips are gorgeous 🌷...you are so good....
You have motivated me to make some changes in my yard... I'm so excited...thank you for sharing your love of gardening 💗
I really enjoy your channel. I always love to see the before and after in the gardens. I’m a new subscriber.
Thank you 💐
So happy for you, obviously you were able to fixed the problem of your neighbors plants growing up onto your fence! Looks great! LOVE THE LIME GREEN ACCENTS!! I want to copy you here in Texas. You are an inspiration! I know you'll are two happy campers in your new home!
Love the idea of different colors of green , it will be a zen space !
I always enjoyed Linda’s gardens, but, what you have done is incredible! Much simpler, cleaner lines (that steel edging, wow) and the stone patio is amazing! Love the lime and purple. Good job Sydney!
It is amazing at how much more the home itself stand out! You two have done tremendous hard work and now you are beginning to reap the Harvest!! ❤
Love your design. All is looking great ❤
Hi Sydney and Tommy
The redbud by the garden garage did survive after all. Refreshing the boxwoods is a great idea. So happy the ivy is not growing back. You chose well with Arbor Image for your maintenance contract. Enjoy your week🥰💞🌷🇺🇸
loving all the potted on the back porch
I am so envious of your mature red buds ❤️❤️❤️
Older neighborhoods usually have elevated power lines. It just is what it is.
Yes, haters don't know what else to say...😅
Beautiful yard. Love the red bud trees.
Your home and landscaping are stunning. Forget about the comments from those who disagree with your decisions. Your front yard of spring bulbs is beautiful. Love your container plantings in this video. I love the idea of the differing green tones in your backyard plantings.
Your gardens are beautiful! I love the simplicity of colour in the front yard and those metal borders. It's stunning!
Love everything that you have done with the garden to make it your own! The color palette in the front is gorgeous and your vision for the backyard with green on green using chartreuse with darker greens will be fabulous when completed. I'm sure you have entertained the thought of staking your juniper and holly to correct their "lean". Since they are still relatively small, you should be able to stake them quite easily. It will give you instant gratification and will save you from the painstaking pruning of that middle holly. Really enjoy your videos although I am also an LV fan. Keep up the great work!
Love how the front came out!🌷
Beautiful landscape, I love your garden
Watching your yard come to life is as much fun as watching my own yard wake up and say hello. Here in the mountains of NC, we are in the same zone as you, but we don't have the extreme heat that you experience. Our frost date is also a month later than yours. Thank you for letting us be a part of your garden refresh. It's gorgeous! ❤
Have you thought about some taller greenery in front of the rock on your home by the mail slot? Might be lovely 😍
So neat,beautiful..love it, loving the color of the tulips..
Everything is looking so fresh and green. Love the purple tulips.
The front landscape looks beautiful
It is amazing the after appearance from the before when you moved in
Great job
Hey-the studio looks so good without the ivy and your bed in front of the window looks great 😊😊😊
I'd drive a stake and put a tow strap around the mid section of that holly and start pulling it to the left and straighten it up with a come along. Make it snug and start applying force, then once a week apply more tension with a few more clicks. Pulled a Rose of Sharron right like that, along with a few young trees. Just have to remember to address the roots and work in more soil as things shift.
I was thinking the same! Worth hanging on too it’s pretty.
Was the fire pit always near the back yard patio? I guess I never noticed it. Your yard is beautiful…you’ve done a wonderful job.
I love it everything is coming along beautifully
I LOVE what you did with the front of the house!! spectacular job!! I can see so many people would be overwhelmed with not knowing what to do and how to maintain that front garden , and you came up with absolutely gorgeous solution and brilliant design ! now we just have to see how the back yard comes together , slowly but surely :)
I absolutely love what you're doing with the front and back yard. So inspirational.
I love everything you were doing. it all looks great!!!!!
Absolutely stunning ❤
I’m loving the transformation and how well you and Tommy take pride in your home. You are doing a great job. Love-love your style! BTW: It’s also great to see your American flag 🇺🇸 Your channel has become one of my favorites to follow.
Thank you for the kind words!
That chartreuse color looks fantastic with the black fence in the background!!!! Best takeaway tip for me was at 31:42 when you use the empty pot to make space for the soil at the edge of the new pot 👍🏼. The new steel short fence will complement the brick color too. If you’re taking requests for video shots, I think you should take a shot of you relaxing on the outdoor couch admiring your talented garden work 🌷😉🌷
Wow! It’s looking so good. Stunning…and this is just the beginning!
Beautiful 😊. What a treat for your neighbors
Love love love the front yard color scheme 😍
The garden is looking so nice! My Scottish moss didn't survive for me well last year. I think it got too much rain in our heavy clay soil. Perhaps I'll try pots similar to how you planted yours in the backyard🥰
Make a request to your electrical company that you want a squirrel guard put on your transformer. Yes they have them and yes they should have already done that by now especially if it has happened 3 times recently. Enjoying your progress.
I learn things everyday! I'm definitely calling to ask about this! I didn't know their was such a thing!
Soooo beautiful
Everything looks amazing! Love it!
Wow! Things are really coming together and looking amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Everything is gorgeous!! I love your design and colors. I just want to get outside and work in mine now. Thank you for sharing!! 😊
The purple, white and green look so beautiful.
