Yes, I was thinking same. Thirty continuous years of gardening and soil improvement makes for healthy soil and thriving plants.❤️ I have heavy clay soil and I envy people with great soil who can pop plants in and they take off with no problems ❤
Just can’t get over the absolute difference your window paint has made and the French doors off fireplace room-----just terrific attention top detail 😊😊😊------garden looks lush and English-----have great weeklend
The front yard is looking so full and lush and green. Adding the pops of purple is stunning. I love how you and Tommy are planting up the front yard and the hardscaping is lovely. The backyard is also looking great. Love your style.
Wow the front is beautiful. Not to diss anyone but this rivals any of the previous years of tulips. I marvel at the change in this home front, love what you did up by the wall…sweet paved stone and paths!
Oh, the front garden looks just beautiful and the back gardens show much progress too. The Chinese Snowball is gorgeous. The different shades of purple are stunning. BTW, love your thumbnail picture for this video - purple it is! Love the team work of you and Tommy.
Your yard is looking just beautiful! We are doing a dry creek in our backyard. Doing a no dig garden with laying down cardboard, then compost and finally fine mulch. Planting right through the cardboard. Trying to conserve the water usage, because the monthly cost is going up. Love watching you and your husband working hard together!
Hi Sydney, Janey Santos has RUclips footage about her metal edging. I believe it’s the product that you were mentioning. She goes in depth about edging her pathways and the product. She is very happy with the ease of use and results. Happy Spring 🌷Laura
Great video ! You & Tommy work so hard. I don’t watch the gardening channels where the work is done by others. Thanks so much for explaining why you are doing what you’re doing and the time table. I’m behind haven’t planted a thing. I’ve pulled up so many plants that did not come back. Don’t know why because I try to use Texas natives mostly. Your Snowball Viburnum is looking lovely!
Sydney love the plant selections. Front flower beds are amazing. (Boy you weren't kidding about the hollyhocks). I can't get over how much more stately your home looks with the dark color trim. Grass is lush and inviting. Nothing like the smell of a fresh mowed lawn. Ok sit back rest and enjoy what you did accomplish. Have a great evening.
While I do love letting all the seeds come up, I agree it detracts from what you’ve planted. Everything is really coming together so nicely. Btw squirrels or something are living in your neighbors attic 😮12:55
Beautiful..... enjoy your videos. The clay and Bermuda grass in Oklahoma are a pain. The biggest expense in our gardens has always been amending the soil. ❤😊
As someone else mentioned below, there are squirrels going into your neighbor's attic (gray house to the right). You can see it starting around 12:50 on the video. You can see the squirrels going in under the slats and also climbing up from the back of the house.
Hola y’all! Love the beautiful plants you choose to put in your garden! and the Mexican feather grass is on my target list I’ve never noticed it before so thanks for the heads up on that Awesome grass!❤
I appreciate your attention to details when you share your planting tips etc. Especially like it when you explain your thoughts and reasons. Your gardens are beautiful! Living in Tulsa we don’t suffer with red clay like OKC area, interesting to see it up close. I’ve always just noticed it on the turnpike when we get closer to Oklahoma City :)
My Husband, Bob, leveled all the stepping stones in our clay soil. The next year we were stepping on puddles of sunken stones. I dug them out and put sand in the holes. Clay turns to a liquid for some reason and plants don’t sink . Stones do!
JD Russell Company manufactures steel edging for landscapes in various sizes and lengths. The company I worked for here in Norcal carried it for our landscaper customers. I think they are wholesale only but you could contact them to see if there is a dealer in your area -pretty sure they ship nationwide -I think our inventory came out of AZ.
Looks great! Question…how do you treat the existing soils with Gypsum? I have red clay as well and add Gypsom every year, but it doesn’t do a whole lot to the soil. Maybe I’m adding it wrong? Suggestions?
Sydney your backyard looks beautiful the lawn green and lusciousThe gardens are gorgeous in the front but that artificial turf Is somewhat of an I saw on the videos do you ever plan on changing that You've done so much And that would be quite the task But in the long run I think you would be very happy with it
I have a question, when planting in the clay bed, why is it that you don’t replace the clay around the newly planted pots with compost or potting soil?
Hi Sydney and Tommy It's great to see the planting. Your beds look very neat. I know you love flower growing, but do you think that you'll plant more vegetables this year?❤💞☘️
Sydney I cannot remember what video you talked about the taller metal bed walls. I can’t remember if you said you have to buy somewhere besides box stores? Thankyou if you can help out! Beautiful
Wondering if you could Chelsea chop or pinch back the larkspur so they bloom later? I don’t grow them, so I’m not sure. Or selectively pull some now? I know you’re pressed for time as it is, but it might help get the look you want. 😂 Lovely progress as always! ❤ 👏🏻
Front beds are looking gorgeous but agree removing the larkspur is a good idea. It is beautiful but is hiding the the stunning design and structure you have created.
Sydney, the soil in your plant beds is so good due to years of Linda adding so much good stuff to it over the years. I do love the steel edging!

This was the same at my parent’s home. 60 yrs of gardening…it was black gold.
Sydney I would imagine your soil is so good because of the work that Linda Vater put into that garden. It was beautiful when she had it as well.
Just can’t get over the absolute difference your window paint has made and the French doors off fireplace room-----just terrific attention top detail 😊😊😊------garden looks lush and English-----have great weeklend
The Viburnum Blooming is stunning, love your color palette, the garden looks absolutely amazing. Your design skills are wow💞💞💞
All looking great! Loving all the changes you've made. Will look forward to seeing this growing season with your plans coming to life.
The front yard is looking so full and lush and green. Adding the pops of purple is stunning. I love how you and Tommy are planting up the front yard and the hardscaping is lovely. The backyard is also looking great. Love your style.
Looks amazing.
Nice to see your fur baby enjoying the backyard lawn

The gardens are looking so good! That snow ball viburnum is gorgeous! Coming along beautifully everywhere! ❤❤❤
Your garden transformation is fabulous 💚💚💚

Tha ks for supporting local law enforcement.

Your front yard is beautiful. Love the color choices and the boulders. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Backyard area.
I love the purple! Absolutely striking and beautiful!
Your garden looks really nice! The garden bed facing that beautiful flowering tree is absolutely gorgeous.
Such a nice plant bed! Beautiful flowers ❤❤❤
The flowerbeds are going to look for beautiful this season!
All of the colors are so beautiful!
I really like those plant markers . I'm checking those out.
While I do love letting all the seeds come up, I agree it detracts from what you’ve planted. Everything is really coming together so nicely.
Btw squirrels or something are living in your neighbors attic 😮12:55
Oh my goodness, you have a great eye, yes, seems to be a critter of some kind.
With open eaves like that bats will also house inside the attic. Happened to my sister….was a nightmare for her.
Beautiful..... enjoy your videos. The clay and Bermuda grass in Oklahoma are a pain. The biggest expense in our gardens has always been amending the soil. ❤😊
Love hearing the birds chirping while you are working!!! Will the Dahlias come back each year?
Loving everything you’re doing♥️♥️♥️
It’s all looking so fresh and pretty!❤
How about adding some sunshine ligustrum for a pop of chartreuse against the dark brick?🧱
Looks beautiful
Everything is so luscious . 💚
Love it all! Your hard work is showing!

Sooo GORGEOUS! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
Going to enjoy seeing all your flowers this year when you make bouquets!
I love your color scheme in the front garden...
YT channels, DIg, Plant, Water, Repeat and Visit Our Garden use the edging you are talking about.♡
Your yard is going to be beautiful this year. Nice work designing
Absolutely beautiful!
Everything looks so beautiful!
Beautiful by the front porch

Lots of work, however everything looking great, well done.

Good hard work Sydney -will look fantastic 👍🏻

We never get done what we think we will😊
You might try sprinkling Plantskyd in your containers and raised beds.
Your garden is so lovely! What is the bloom time for the Rose Marvel Salvia?
Thank you 💐

Tip got your plant tags. On the back side add the date you planted them.
I have a question, when planting in the clay bed, why is it that you don’t replace the clay around the newly planted pots with compost or potting soil?

What did you decide on about the bees Sydney?
Getting bees! 😊 they are to arrive April 18th.
@@SydneyDorman awesome!

Lovely progress as always! ❤ 👏🏻
yES YOUR RED CLAY MIGHT BE HARD TO PLANT INTO, BUT IT HOLDS MANY NUTRIENTS, BEIFICIAL TO THE PLANTS.
Sydney- what are the white clusters of flowers you have in your front flower beds?
Pansies!
What kind of grass do you have in the backyard 🌱🌱
Fescue!
Do you just sprinkle gypsum in the beds?
Not sure why you didn’t separate those dahlia tubers?
My tulips only lasted approximately 2 weeks, I'm not going to waste my money on them again not for such a short time.
As much as I love your tall edging I could see myself tripping over it Guess I will stick to the lower edging
I would hate to fall on that steel edging.
i love your choice of plants. however, i feel you should add more plants with color rather than green.
Front beds are looking gorgeous but agree removing the larkspur is a good idea. It is beautiful but is hiding the the stunning design and structure you have created.
👍🥰
