Hello Daniel, are there any plans to publish your forthcoming Anti-Sicilian Chessable course in a book?
@@owenpritchard7175 That is as yet unclear, but I would hope so. If that does happen it would be later in 2023
Nice game Daniel...Vossen, I mean. Well, King too!
One thing I've been pleasantly surprised by is my online win rate against c4 in the Kalashnikov following GM King's course/book recommendations. It's something like ~70% against people rated approximately ~2200 - on the two major chess sites. I actually think it would be higher if I didn't lose on time so much when I first was learning it. :)
I own both the course and book, recommend them both. You can't choose incorrectly between them. Great opening, lots of fun to play. Helps when you win a lot playing it too. ;)
Thank you for the endorsement!
"The King's Indian Kalashnikov" is such a clever title.
I call this video the 2-Daniels game. Many thanks to GM Daniel King for the explanations, that was very instructive indeed and reminded me of one of my best ever games which reached a KID structure coming from, believe it or not, a Sicilian Kan. Congratulations to Daniel Vossen on a very well played game, I've enjoyed it immensely 👏😊
Really interesting to see games at this level - which some of us may be familiar with :-) You can see why the players made certain moves and the counters you hadn't considered. Very instructive. Thanks.
Very interesting Kings Indian Kalashnikov hybrid. Thanks daniel and keep up the good work.
Powerplay to 100k!!!
Daniel found all the moves I usually miss - both in the Kalashnikov and in the KID 😁
Nice game by Vossen! Just got my copy of your book, Danny! I'm going to enjoy it in the next days! Also looking forward for your Anti-Sicilian new course/book! Greetings!😁😁
Great! Enjoy the book!
Danny when is your anti-Sicilian course coming out? I can't wait to get it!
Working on it now. I am hoping by the end of November, but no promises...
Reminds me of a lot of Modern Opening games I get into
You seem so enthusiastic about King's Indian positions lately... are you planning on doing a King's Indian course someday in the future (once you're done with your current project)? And if not, do you have any good recommandations for those of us who have your Kalashnikov course and are also thinking about using the KID?
I now realize that one big difference between the King's Indian and the Kalashnikov is that white has many many many different setups against the King's Indian. And nearly all of them can give white a huge space advantage. Even a far less agressive English Opening against a King's Indian can result in a queenside pawn storm (for white) that resembles a closed c4 e5 setup (where maybe black's g7 bishop is misplaced). But the Kalashnikov (in comparison) can give you a King's Indian setup against the Maroczy Bind that has far more stability and predictability. So, I think I get why you prefer to teach us QGD against d4, rather than the King's Indian!
Fantastic game! Landing in a King's Indian kind of position is never fun as a 1.e4 player. The Kalashnikov catches many players off guard because of that fact.
Black’s initiative is very dangerous.
The book (and e-book) are available from the New In Chess online shop: www.newinchess.com/king-s-kalashnikov-sicilian For those in the USA, the book is now available through Amazon.
