Everyone has bad days. Crucially, this game turned on overlooking a massive tactic (that it was possible to sac on f2) and that had massive consequences. That's why it looks so disastrous.
@@PowerPlayChess Sorry, Danny, but that’s a bit like saying Ding’s loss turned on him overlooking that Radja could crash through with …Rxe3. The problem started earlier. Similarly, here, the whole plan with b3, Bd3-e2, a3, and Ra2 was well below Vishy’s usual standard. A bad day indeed - great video, though!
Great video as always. I think the move Bf6 in the beginning also deserves some praise. I (2000-ish player) might have just played Nf6 without a second thought; developing another piece, rather than move the bishop twice. The computer wouldn't hate me for it either. The tactic shots of Qxf4 and Qxf2 stand out most, but the stronger I get, the more I start appreciating these smaller moves. (In this case it might just be a book move, the general point stands though.)
@@PowerPlayChess Fair enough. b3 and f5 are rather... unique moves. :) I kindda like Radja, I feel he's one of the most underrated players in the top field. (Anand is great of course, but that's rather non-controversial opinion I feel)
I think the reason that up until the second half of the latest candidates, that Radjabov has underperformed is that the cautious style suits him less well than creative attacking chess. thanks daniel and keep up the good work.
“The net tightens”
Making this a Kalash of the Tightens
The kalashnikov has become a labour of love. Loving the chessable course and the games on the tube.
Glad you are enjoying it!
Beautiful game and analysis!
Got the book; anxious to dig in. 🙂
Excellent. Let me know what you think of the book (and your results with the opening).
Powerplay to 100k!!!
Just a great game!
danial king ur sipmply superb my first study book at erly stage winning with najdorf
Great channel thanks
looks a nice book i will buy it
Got your book yesterday, Daniel! :-) Read already hours by hours in it - superb! Greetings from Berlin!
Great to hear!
It is amazing what Radjabov is capable of 😮 And congratulations on that cute book. I wish you big succes!
Thanks!
Excellent game to analyze, another game were the black pieces are at the bottom, I'm liking that.
Exquisite game!
Anand was unrecognizable in this game. A bit like Ding’s White game against Radjabov at the Candidates.

I can assure you, they were already on their own at this point! No book would ever mention Anand's opening idea, nor Radjabov's response!

Baby Radja, a more daring player. Poor Vishy, he keeps ending up on the wrong side of a Kalashnikov. Very entertaining game. Thanks!
Great analysis as usual, after f4 there is Nf3+ to give the Queen a square on d4 (but I know it doesn't help much!)
Looks like Anand hadn't been able to come up with a plan he liked against the Kaiishnakov
I'm enjoying your seies on the Kalashnikov. A pedantic point here: Stockfish 14 1.03 (depth 40) 26.Bd2!! Others are 0.0
This version of Radjabov would've smash the candidates
Definitely not. As you can see, at that time he was even lower than 2700. So his current version is better.
You forgot to mention the game is from 2003, King :)
He likes saying Kalashnikov.
Isn't this McDonnell-Labourdonais? :-)
Yes! Distinct similarities!
raja's only black wins were with Kalashnikov lol
