Nicole Brea SHES NOT DEAD
Check her vids from 2013
Heck she made one 7 months ago
@@lojic221 made one three days ago
@@azdobrosavljevic4024 sadly she did die in 2013, but her spirit still lives on
I hope, if I make it to her age I still have that kind of motor skills.
I was thinking the same thing..I hope so too!
*hope
It’s impressive
keep active, most people dont work out or do enough dexterity inducing activities
My thoughts too
She made them because ONE of her grandsons liked them 😢 that is the pure heart of a grandmother ♡ Rest in Peace♡
This is how my grandma used to make stuffed artichokes. She showed me once but I could never remember exactly how long to cook them. I have saved this video so I can make them and remember my grandma. Gosh I miss her.
I think she forgot to tell us to pull out the thistle in the middle of the choke before stuffing.
@heres the thing.... No! This is exactly how my grandma made them also. There are 2 ways to make stuffed artichokes. I don't know if this was specifically the Sicilian way to make it, but that is the part of Italy my grandma was from. We eat all the leaves until we get to the tiny thin leaves in the center, then you pull the rest out, scoop out the furry inside and eat the heart...sooo delicious! 💙
@@autumntrap6945, even in Sicily there are different family stuffed artichoke recipes and all of them are good.
“We’d only have one gift, but that would make us happy.”
Clara’s words make me cry. They didn’t have much but they had a big family and no-one was lonely.
Makes you wonder what is most important.
and then she revealed they did not have a christmas tree! Her Aunt had the one, and they enjoyed that one! I was surprised. Incredible woman, she lived the REAL life.
=beats the artichoke on the table=
Miss clara: this ones almost as stubborn as i am! But ill win.
Oh i sure do love miss clara and i am bittersweet to know shes flying with the angels! I love her recipies and ill forever cherish them!

Your grandmother is precious. Wish I knew her and I had her as my grandmother.
Leave her alone she posted a sweet comment
Yo Mama some of them are dead, or definitely weren’t as good of a lady as Clara is.
RIP Dear Lady and thank you..
Clara laughing at the end fills my heart ❤️
mine to i watch her 5 time love that woman
Artichokes were my Nonna specialty, she used minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil. So delicious, we all got one a piece. My uncle used to try and pay us kids a quarter for ours 😂, they were worth 10 bucks at least !!
I like ur memory..thanks for sharing 🙂
Your uncle would try and bribe you for the artichokes, lol!! Too funny.
Maree Bow Sounds delicious!
That’s how I learned to make them too. ☺️
That sounds so delicious 🤤
I have been watching Clara's cooking on RUclips for several weeks. I remember one time she mentioned what her purpose in life was and I personally think it was to bring simple happiness into families lives. She blessed my heart from her stories and love for cooking and family. May Yehovah bless her whole family and friends. Thank you.
Just beautiful.. I opened the comments to post one and saw the rest in peace on a few. What a loss here on earth but what an angel God has received. I am now going to watch more. I'm grateful for the artichokes I purchased today and no clue to make. I found an even bigger treasure then learning what to do with them. I found Clara . I am grateful . God Speed lovely lady and thank you to whomever was smart enough to share her with the world .
She hasnt passed!
@@azdobrosavljevic4024 she passed in 2013
@@azdobrosavljevic4024 sadly, yes, she did...I never met her and I miss her so much😢

Whose watching this in 2019? She is so amazing, reminds me of my grandma... may she rest in peace.
2024😊
My grandmother used to make these but sadly passed away before I got the recipe from her so I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. Thank you.
Now it is May 2024 and I am rewatching Clara cook Artichokes...just because she makes me smile 😊
Absolutely love Clara .
Shes lived through the simple times ..
..and thats whats made her so humble and happy.
I always wanted to live tgrough these times ...
...people usedvto help one another and so on.
I always say ,
Thhe higher up you go in life
..the bigger the fall in later years .
Humble poorer people are happier in elder years
...than the rich.
Infact most people who reach such a grand age
..are from humble backgrounds.
Its because they appreciate small things ,
kept fit by working hard labour jobs.
Like Clara said in one video ,
.." people have much better lives now
..and they still moan and complain" .
( when she made iecd drink in hot weather
...and didnt have air cons like we do ).
Shes right , most people dont realise
...what they have ..and dont take care .
I think that why many of us prefer old days .
.. life now is too greedy and selfish.
I used to teach humblempoorer students
and theyw ere amazing , so appreciative
with a thirst to learn and coorporate .
Then i taught private kids who had everything
..in life . But they didnt have that spark for living.
Being deaf , i guess i can see the value in everything .
I hope many of you do...
Times so short , use it to help and love people, earth and animals.
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

I can't stop smiling when I watch Clara's videos. I love her. Such a blessing.
When Miss Clara had the giggles at the end I was sitting here laughing too! This grandson has done such a wo derful thing for all of us to partake of. We really need this kind of love and pure goodness. This is Italian Soul Food.
What a lovely person she is. These videos really calm me down.
Love, Love, Love her. What a beautiful soul!
You have created a legacy with your grandmother. Thank you for sharing her with the world!!
The cooking was great, but her stories were absolutely priceless.

i never in my life.....smiled so hard
This family was blessed to have this beautiful woman around. I love listening to her stories. RIP Clara
when i watch her videos i be smiling throughout the whole video, shes a sweet person
My grandfather was born in 1933. He tells a story (he's gone now but I remember the story and he wrote it in a book about his life so we would remember) He was like... between 5 and 8 and he woke up one Christmas and out on the fire escape (in california) there was a toy airplane. He never forgot that. That moment of totally unexpected joy that his mother and uncles got him a gift for Christmas.
The best part of this video was the very end, Clara is laughing hysterically, as she wished a happy holiday! So funny and adorable!
Yes, my poor family in Ohio could only have artichokes once a year. We just boiled them and dipped the leaf bottoms in drawn butter. The hearts were the prizes. I've made them for my French husband who has Breton roots -- and I've studied in Italy, what little I could afford. These can be cooked large or very small, too -- they are a lot of work to make and eat but they're good! A member of the thistle family, these grow well in very poor soils and were bloody heck to harvest! I just cringe when I see old photos of Bretons in their coarse clothes and the wooden shoes needed for the country, pricking themselves on them! My husband considers them too labor-intensive to eat but he really enjoyed the try! He could see, you don't get much food, but it's quite astringent and packs a punch! Bless you and Clara, we've lost a gem! She did the best she could with her life. I am so lucky I knew all four of my grandparents! I had two grandmothers who cooked nice stuff -- one Slovenian, one Pennsy Dutch. They could make a nourishing, fragrant meal out of "soul food" -- whatever was seasonal, local, cheap and available. Greetings from France via Ohio and NYC!
slobomotion neat anecdotes! I grow other weeds well maybe I will try growing these!
I tried to get starts to keep under cover here in Kentucky in my garden. Instead I got 5# of seeds!
My dad has grown them in CA & OR. Western WA gardeners can too. But our winters are too cold.
😥
I had Yugoslavian grandparents and Irish Grandparents.
Nice, I'm born NYC, moved to NJ and moving to Ohio soon...Columbus. I've been to southern France, St Jean de Luz, where my niece in Spain lives 30 mins from. You're lucky to have traveled a lot.
About 4 humans have made me "feel" warmth in my "heart" (people call it happiness, positive emotions etc...). She is one of those 4 humans. 🤗 thank you

"This next one is almost as stubborn as I am (chuckles). But I'm gonna WIN (chuckles again)"! I love this woman! Makes my day since I discovered her! RIP Clara!!
I started crying at the end from her laughing. I hear my great aunt in her, she was actually older than Clara, but just as sweet. Thanks for posting these.
her laughter at the end was sooo cute!!!
them artichokes gave her the giggles and it cracks me up every single time I watch it, I love this one!😂😁😅😄
I am Italian and I used to make these growing up at Christmas with my mom and sister.
Oh Clara, we loved your laugh!!! Your smile was priceless and for me, you filled my days with such love, watching you cook and hearing the most wonderful stories. I don't think there will ever be enough thank you's for what you gave us. To a beautiful soul who will sadly be missed. I feel like I knew you in some way. Thank you Clara for the privilege of letting the world get to know such a kind and giving person.
We had turkey with corn bread dressing, sweet potatoes, greens, bake mac and cheese, cranberry sauce. Fruitcake, nuts, fruits, peppermint, and eggnog.
all that food talk is making me hungry ^,..,^
Your hands are lovely and graceful, dearest Clara. They are a blessing to meditate on. Delicate and full of stories themselves of all the cooking you did.😇🙏🙏😇
P.s. your complexion stayed nice too, for over 90 years😘😉
Clara laughing fills my heart with joy, she has a great sence of humor, I'm definitely trying her artichoke recipe. Watching her is surreal, it's like she's just next door and I can walk to her house and ask her about a certain recipe or just sit and chat, I'd love to hear her stories, I'd wear out my welcome!! Sweet Clara 🙂🌹🌻🌷
Thank you so much to Clara's grandson for posting all these videos and making them with your grandmother. I live in Japan, and I don't see my family in America. Both of my grandmothers are gone....this fills a huge grandmother gap in my heart!!!! God bless you!!! Thank you Clara for giving gifts, long after you've left us. I wish I could've met you.
I love this sweet, sweet lady! So Godly. So gentle. An angel. Precious one! She is a treasure!❤A customer of mine cooks artichokes on his stove quite often and says the heart of the artichoke is amazingly delicious! So glad to meet Clara via youtube!! So thankful someone shared her!!😊.

I have Clara's CD (from her website) and her book (Amazon) and love them both. I read the cookbook in one sitting. Her stories about the horrible Depression are uplifting and relevant today. And boy, are they ever interesting!
My grandmother (born in 1902) lived through it and used to tell me many stories, too. My mother and aunt are close to Clara's age and remember a lot.
Your ideas are so helpful. I loved your laughing at the end!
Don't stop allowing us to learn from you.
I see why she made these during Christmas time. They look like flocked Christmas trees!

This is my favorite episode so far. A delight! The fact that I love artichokes has little to do with it.

Watching her make these wonderful dishes reminds me of being home again. The memories of my Mom in her kitchen. The traditional life we lived.
Thanks for sharing her with the world. These videos have brought me comfort having lost my grandma many years ago
me too i lost my grandma 4 years ago so dont feel bad
Soak the artichokes first after salting, rinsing and pounding them. (Remove the stem after your done so you have something to grab onto while pounding them on the cutting board.). This is to remove any little worms that may have found their way in there. Also, it helps to open the leaves, making it easier to stuff them. When you stuff them, make sure you add Parmesan to your bread crumbs! Soak them for about 20 min after pounding them for a little bit, and that will make sure they are clean and ready to stuff.
I prefer pecorino Romano and garlic and mint. Also I leave a bit of the stem ,just clean the edges .I think the stems meat is the best part.
Too cute!!! Very funny ending!
My boyfriends grandmother has a delicious stuffed artichoke recipe. Definitely my favorite food for the holidays.
She is so cute! Watching this during Covid-19 makes me appreciate the simple things in life!💕
