@words wpns uh she *did* say no and Louis *did not* take it hard and destroy her career. In fact, the dumb kunt ruined *his* career. So tell me again.. Who has the real power here?
Yes- I hope what I said was clear. I was also thinking of my Mum who helped clear dead bodies out of rubble during the Blitz here in the UK. To her the idea that she would be traumatised by someone asking if could masturbate is laughable. Mind you knowing my Mother she would have laid him out cold.
what you should look up next is false equivalence. False equivalence is a logical fallacy in which two opposing arguments appear to be logically equivalent when in fact they are not. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency. Just because something horrible is happening somewhere else doesn't make it OK for something not as horrible happening here. If you take this thinking to its logical mad conclusion then everything is acceptable short of blowing people up with nukes because that's the worst. No wait, blowing up the entire universe, that's the worst. Everything else is just nothing compared to that. You see how silly this thinking is. You should stop using it in arguments.
Personally, I care far more about women suffering atrocities in places like Syria than for a woman making hundreds of thousands of dollars on a TV show who gets asked by a famous person if it's ok if he masturbates in front of her. I'd just say, "Try the mirror, you perv!" and forget about it. Show business is full of weirdos. And BTW, she said it was well-known in the comedy circles that he asked people that, and they joked about it, so what's so "shocking"?
Well. It is what was expected from some people based on thousands of cases like this through what I have seen in my life. I don`t know you personally and my answer did not imply I did.Your interpretation of my answer to you was colored by your big ego. I don`t need years knowing you to see that.
WTF is wrong with her? She’s clearly a fame seeker. He did it,”bad” he realized it was wrong later in life,”maturing” he called her up and apologized to her,”brave” then? She stabs him in the back for being a good mature human being that learns from his mistakes!!!!
LOUIS CK saved my life. I contemplated suicide many times. I would always turn to a Louis CK stand up special and within 5 minutes, I was laughing and found the strength to get out of bed.
Hope you're doing better now! I'm kinda in the same boat(though not as bad as you maybe). He helped me get out of depression. I think I have watched his shows 5 or 6 times each. It has been incredibly therapeutic to me. No other comedian has had this effect on me. Only Louis. And I god damn miss him.

If you are an adult and somebody asking you a dirty question is traumatizing you for decades you need to thicken your skin. Yesterday a woman walked in the men's dressing room while I was changing, should I slap her with a lawsuit? If the standards for men and women where the same I could get at least ten women fired. But we don't, because we try to keep it reasonable. If the roles were reversed this would have been a bar story.
@@stupidrules1000 Well, yeah. Look at President John Kennedy. What he made women do who adored him. They debased themselves because of the charismatic influence that he wielded over them. It took an outsider, a man equal in stature, to call him out on this and make him feel ashamed. It is difficult having this power and be aware and feel responsible for its effects. Manson, same thing.
Let me get this straight so all these allegations are that he did something in front of them and they were uncomfortable with it but never rejected it or said anything at the time. Mainly because they didn't want to upset him as a successful person that they respected? Your inability to tell someone no just because you want to use them and gain from their success gives you no right to ruin their career. You're not the victim , learn how to walk away and say no.
Wasn't the main one during a comedy festival? Pretty sure he didn't solicit her to watch him masturbate while she was in the middle of an act but I could be wrong. Louis was in the power seat buddy, you can't fuck the payroll on any levels or ways. Now, i agree that it was just a weird incident and a lot of people around Louis C.K. are now suffering from those stories. Louis was generating a looooot of work around him. I know it was not right, but i think this is getting out of hand.

freedoms2010 the thing is mate they said yes, and the few that said no had no backlash from louis. I love Louis, always known he was a pig, but thats it....man I hope they perfect AI and robotics, the sooner we men stay away from women the better.

Rebecca Corry who? Well, now we know who this troll is. And, soon enough, she will disappear from public knowledge and continue to remain a bitter, unsuccessful comedian.
So he asked. She agreed. He did nothing wrong other than an ethical violation of work place behavior. No sex crime, no assault. Same with all the other girls. The day everyone stops being a bit pervy is the day I care about what these broads are saying. This is FAR from Cosby, Weinstein, Spacey level shit. People need to learn how to say no and realize that the world is not full of people who respect other people. It's a rough place.
From the article I saw, the woman in this video actually said no to his request and he just got really embarrassed and apologized for asking. Kinda funny that they cut that part out in this video.
Well, he did that while being married though, that's still pretty fucked up. Obviously not all charges against people are going to be on the same level.

One time a woman, at a bar, who I’d been talking to for about 10 minutes, asked if we could make out. Now, without hesitation I said “yes,” but imagine I said no and then 8 years later brought this up to whomever could single handedly ruin this girl’s career. You see where I’m going with this?
That is a good point. If more women would just say no instead of sticking around, (or blowing a director to get in the movie), that would help. But louie is a perv, and did use his power over women. Just watch the movie I Love You Daddy and tell me i'm wrong.
Women say “rape culture” is a big problem. Men should ask for approval. When a man actually asks you turn him into villain anyway? He was a nobody back then. So the whole “he has power over me” thing really doesn’t work here. He asked she said no, and you ruined his career anyway. Is there some kind of sick pleasure in destroying a mans life that I’m not aware of?
This is the type of stuff that makes people more and more question rape victims, and I mean serious rape victims. Louis approached her, asked her, she said no, he went away and he apologized for it afterwards. I mean sure, him asking that question is certainly creepy and wrong on all levels, but her presentation of it makes it sound like she was traumatized because of this, complete exaggeration. All these actual victims of sexual harassment are gradually losing credibility because women like her are desperately looking for attention
Him asking the question is not wrong and creepy. Thats how you feel about it because louis is not a great looking guy. If Tom Cruise came and asked the same question this woman would be having his baby right now. Sorry but rules are created equally for everyone irrespective of how they look. Women say ask for consent and when u do you still get crucified. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.
do you understand that the most common way to avoid being raped is to consent to what's happening to you? the cognitive dissonance around this issue is staggering. ck's career is better than ever, meanwhile these women will be in hiding for the rest of their lives. the power he had in these COUNTLESS situations was not that these women admired him, like he claims. it was that he was essentially their boss. he put them in a position where they FELT like they COULDN'T SAY NO IF THEY WANTED TO KEEP PAYING THEIR RENT PURSUING WHAT THEY LOVED. this was confirmed when they spoke to their managers and agents and was told that if they wanted a career in comedy, they needed to shut up and take it. do you understand how deeply inappropriate that was? rape victims get torn apart in court, NOT because of women like this, but because of people like you. you admit the behaviour was "wrong on all levels" yet you criticise "her presentation" of what happened to her, because it's not traumatising enough for YOUR taste. "women like her are desperately looking for attention" is EXACTLY the type of nasty judgement that women KNOW will be levelled at them, no matter what. it's why REGARDLESS of the nature and extent of one's assault, RAPE VICTIMS HARDLY EVER REPORT WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. NOT BECAUSE OF WOMEN LIKE THIS, BUT BECAUSE OF ATTITUDES LIKE YOURS which defence lawyers LOVE to employ. well I'm sorry we're not all perfect victims. let's all try to get raped harder, yeah? hey ladies, stop dissasociating when you're being assaulted. you're only a real victim if you scream. scroll through the comments here and tell me why YOU think "all these actual victims of sexual harassment are gradually losing credibility". you're deeply, deeply wrong for what you wrote.
Whats next america? the presence of a lawyer and the signature of a contract for make love to womens?? ,. c'mon he ask first, if you ask ,. and the other person doesnt like or want any weird behavior,. that person should just say NO or leave,. why they stayed and waited until he finished,? Louie your audience supports you, please come back as an independent comedian, with an special about this,. we are willing to buy all your dvd and tickets for your show.
Plus a lot of women say, they think it is a turn off if they are asked by the guy if he may kiss them. .. So this asking directly shouldn´t even be that important.
Bruh? So cuz he's powerful he can't ask anyone for sex, ever? I bet if he looked like Brad Pitt he wouldn't have had an issue. I mean give him a break he's been a fat balding ginger his whole life then fame hits him and he's not allowed to ask for some fantasy's? That's like telling a disabled kid he can't use his wheel chair.
I'm a woman and I know there are those men who are creepy and gross. But most men will respect you if your boundaries are clear. As women we need to be aware of the energy we put out, cause some men get the wrong idea and if they do get the wrong idea then we must make it clear we don't feel comfortable. As my mother would always tell me growing up "Men will go as far as you let them" so as I women I hate playing the victim role because we have the power to leave, fuck the job, or whatever is keeping you in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation. I acknowledge that there those men who don't respect your boundaries even when you have set them clearly, but that's usually the douche, overly confident drunk guy. Not all men are creepy and bad. And another thing sooo many women use their sexuality to get things, so it goes both ways.
Saturnreturn123 most of these women were intentionally playing it ambiguous with the hopes that'd help their careers, I would never ever go to someone's hotel room to discuss anything work related, c'mon...that's ridiculous.

Rebecca Corry is NOT a victim. Wasn’t even physically touched. Just a Karen complaining why she is not funny and doesn’t have the fame like the Great Louis CK.
Yeah, first you have to submit a peer-reviewed application form, requesting for permission to ask for consent, then you have to video your demand and send it to the person, wait for a minimum two week legal delay of retraction before eventually, after having received written acceptation of the possibility of hearing your request, with witnesses present, prostrating yourself on the floor (so as not to potentially intimidate the person), saying fifteen "I am not worthys", proffering a whip to the "victim" in case she chooses to flagellate you instead of consenting. If, of course, you've still got a hardon after all that, you really do have some merit and there's a 0.15% chance she might think about it.
He asked, and you said no. End of story, end of controversy. This should not even be a news story. let alone be allowed to destroy someones life and career!
Not end of story. The dude was an executive producer. He was many of these women's boss. It is not cool for your boss to ask to pull out his penis. How do you have an adult conversation with someone after they've done this at work. She should be able to tell the whole fucking planet. It's not cool.

All the people defending him in the comments are demented and deluded. He was completely inappropriate and used his power to coerce women into sexual acts. THAT IS TEXTBOOK SEXUAL HARASSMENT. No woman wants to ruin her career over some bullshit they didn’t want.
Don't you think there are gradients to sexual harassment? He did behave inappropriately but he never touched anyone, he never raped anyone. Maybe there were some women who admired him but at the time these incidents happened he was just a moderately successful comedian, his cable show hadn't debuted yet and he hadn't been catapulted into superstardom. He didn't have the power and fame people keeping saying he did. Not excusing, I just don't like inaccurate exaggeration. I'm just saying he's no Weinstein and no Cosby, or Masterson but people lump him in the same category of actual sex criminals, which is not fair. What he did was wrong but forgivable, if he comes clean, apologizes and never behaves that way again we don't need to punish him for the rest of his life. Why not focus your anger on a guy like Cosby who drugged and raped women for decades, but is now free.
So, somebody said something insulting to you 12 years ago..yeesh... Its like if someone you pushed on the swing in school ,shows up at your 25th birthday with a camera crew. Its actually kinda offensive to the people who go through real harassment and abuse. Grow up.
Such hypocritical moralism! This "scandal", by any cultural standard, should be considered a joke! Then again, the lack of proper critical reasoning fuels such empty debates. The point is not whether Louis behaved inappropriately or not (which, naturally, he did), or whether his behaviour was physically or psychologically harmful towards anybody (which, clearly, it wasn't), but the only pertinent question is... why the hell is this even considered worthy of ethical discussions? This is base, ignorant gossip! No more, no less! Louis C.K. behaved like a primitive pervert in front of several women? Fine! But, good god, why is this on the news?! (unfortunately, it's a rhetorical question)
It's on the news because journalists are vultures that will cover anything that will increase/maintain views regardless of the catastrophic and unfair consequences that inevitably happen as a result.

Boy those women in Syria who are being bombed and attacked just don't know what real trauma is!
Clay Mann all we say is that the punishment must match the crime...
@perky Okay, I have to ask why do you only give a sh*t about women in Syria when it's to undermine accusations made by women in the Western world?
Personally, I care far more about women suffering atrocities in places like Syria than for a woman making hundreds of thousands of dollars on a TV show who gets asked by a famous person if it's ok if he masturbates in front of her. I'd just say, "Try the mirror, you perv!" and forget about it. Show business is full of weirdos. And BTW, she said it was well-known in the comedy circles that he asked people that, and they joked about it, so what's so "shocking"?

Let me get this straight so all these allegations are that he did something in front of them and they were uncomfortable with it but never rejected it or said anything at the time. Your inability to tell someone no just because you want to use them and gain from their success gives you no right to ruin their career. You're not the victim , learn how to walk away and say no.

Women say “rape culture” is a big problem. Men should ask for approval. When a man actually asks you turn him into villain anyway? He was a nobody back then. All these actual victims of sexual harassment are gradually losing credibility because women like her are desperately looking for attention
ufkun20 Really? 😨😨😨

And another thing sooo many women use their sexuality to get things, so it goes both ways.

youtubeviewer a year later and they’re still pretty big , you mug😂😂 L
Well at least you tried
I didn't know asking for consent was wrong.
This “woman” should be cancelled.

What he did was wrong but forgivable, if he comes clean, apologizes and never behaves that way again we don't need to punish him for the rest of his life.
