There are so many killer small details in this tune. The whistling, the bass licks, vocal echo in the bridge, the U2-style outro guitar, the finger snap effects, small flashes of bongo drum in the chorus....just too cool

The whole Fever Dream album is just a work of art. I had the privilege of seeing Cannons in Cleveland OH on 3/30/22 and then in Columbus OH on 4/2/22. The shows and music are mesmerizing! I speak for all fans when I say how happy I am you guys made it big.
Aside from loving this song, I'm also addicted to watching the background gospel dancers! Their choreography is brilliantly simple yet conveys a very ethereal feeling & fits perfectly with the tune - i especially love the 360 spin to arms outstretched that they do on the word 'Hurricane'!

I’d literally never heard of Cannons until yesterday, when Tidal decided that “Fever Dream” was an album that I might like to hear. Now, in the space of 24 hours, I’m completely hooked.
The same here... RUclips popped up this video in the recommended list and I clicked on it. I've now listened to this song probably a dozen times and a bunch of other songs by them.

yeah, I actually get a New Order (new wave) vibe from this band, which leads me to believe they will indeed surge just as New Order condensed multiple elements of previous decades into something really special. Cannons is listed as synth wave, but like new wave, it's the music of an electronic synth era which will never die and always swings back into popularity ... in waves.

They have tracks that incorporate Spanish and reggae aesthetics. As a native of so cal, they have the quintessential southern California vibes.” They are perfection and one of my very favorite bands. I so love the smooth groove of this song, as like all the others, the cool vibe is addicting. I discovered them a year ago, and now they are one of my favorites!♥
This has been a phenomenal find in new music for me. Drawn in hypnotically by that baseline, guitar and vocals. What is so nice about the vocals for songs like this is that they don't try to overpower the song. All elements are layered wonderfully with the guitar "outro" being the raised essential finally. The video work so well with the song too. I did a quick search on the band and what other consider the genre to be, and one of the terms was "dream pop" (or maybe "electro-dream pop"?). Listening to many of their other songs..."electro-dream pop" feels so fitting. Smooth, dreamy, hypnotic... Thank you Cannons!
The first song I’ve ever heard (it was at work), was “Fire for You”. I stopped what I was doing and asked who the song (Fire for You), is by? That was in the beginning of this year (2023). I discovered it 4 days ago on Spotify and it’s quickly become one of my favorites tunes to walk to.
I also listen to their albums on my walks! I was good and ready to sing along with her last night when I saw them in concert. It also dawned on me that she mentions walking in many songs. That subliminal messaging keeps me active and fit 😺

yeah, I actually get a New Order (new wave) vibe from this band, which leads me to believe they will indeed surge just as New Order condensed multiple elements of previous decades into something really special.

I so love the smooth groove of this song, as like all the others, the cool vibe is addicting. I discovered them a year ago, and now they are one of my favorites!♥
This has been a phenomenal find in new music for me. Drawn in hypnotically by that baseline, guitar and vocals. What is so nice about the vocals for songs like this is that they don't try to overpower the song. All elements are layered wonderfully with the guitar "outro" being the raised essential finally. The video work so well with the song too. I did a quick search on the band and what other consider the genre to be, and one of the terms was "dream pop" (or maybe "electro-dream pop"?). Listening to many of their other songs..."electro-dream pop" feels so fitting. Smooth, dreamy, hypnotic... Thank you Cannons!
It seems like they are a mix of Dreamwave and Synthpop. The band is phenomenal.
I always called it retro-wave because their music reminds me a lot of music from the 80s/90s.
