A: Of course, even Jawan should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Award, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would also love to take Jawan to the Oscars. Let's see. I think Khan sir will watch and read this interview. For pushpa to ask for a kiss in return for money, for her to run back to pushpa to ask him to do her coz her only other option is the villian.. Man you might never understand how pathetic sreevalli was portrayed in the movie🤦🏻‍♂️

@@juliansam How to say you never understood the point of Srivalli without saying you never understood : . When Pushpa asks her to give a kiss in return for money , she agrees (There is nothing wrong with that because its consensual) . The she says she'll have her first time only with the person she marries ,i.e her husband . But when that villian calls her , she understands that she'd have to get physical with him to save her dad . But as she loves Pushpa , she asks him to sleep with her so she'd have the satisfcation of having her first time with someone she truly loves . I don't understand why do people see it only as a sexual role just because sex is involved .It's more about consent and the importance of intimacy for a woman . It's sad to see that such emotional depth of the sequence is reduced merely to sex ! We seriously need to stop looking at sex as a taboo . If a non-indian would see the movie , they'd surely love the character of Srivalli and the stands she takes for herself.

Old superhit Malayalam films of Jayaram and Dileep are filled with 'Mathlab Kuch bhi' scenes.
Yet, it is a guilty pleasure to watch those classic comedy films, even for the political correctness obsessed dudes.

For me actually guilty pleasure is watching Shaji Kailas films like Narasimham (a boon and a curse for Mohanlal in the 2Ks), Aaraam Thampuraan, Valliettan, Kaduva, The King, Commisioner 😅😅 (even I understand that except Kaduva, none of these films would age well with audiences, but for some masala film viewing, especially for some grounded action sequences, I generally watch these films).
I realised that late director Siddique's films are entertaining (sprinkled with comedy throughout the film), but they are just, like boring, something I felt like not engaging (except Ramji Rao Speaking and Godfather) and they don't come for me even in guilty pleasure viewing also. It's not just a question of Siddique's films aging well or not like Chronic Bachelor, Bhaskar the Rascal, Friends, Hitler, but they are just like, they don't have repeat value for me atleast.

(You showed few scenes and the dialogues are literally wrong from the original.. I will breakdown it one by one)
Actual Tamil dialogue of the Lab Love scenes -
Danush with frustration and fear : reading the letter and praising the guy with anger..😮
The dialogue : 😵‍💫(Danush) What a letter! i am not able to write these kinds of letters.. that's why I am still holding my love and didn't propose her.. you are handsome too boy... a black guy like me couldn't fell in love???
do you know how i love her?? Do you know how important she is to me?? Do you know what i am without her???
We will do one thing... i will tell my complete love with her and you just write a letter on behalf of me.. i will take that letter and propose to her.. if she rejects me...! 😡Do you reject me???(Holding her throat and telling this)
In case if she rejects me i will come to you directly and bring your another letter to her on behalf of you this time.. i will put you both together for a happy life.. then ask sorry to the guy.
Actual Tamil dialogue of the Bus scene you showed
(Where danush pretends to be a handicapped)
Before this scene.. that girl acted and fooled them all.. now it's danush's turn) -
The dialogue :😵‍💫 (Danush) do you think you can only act?? I can do more than you and make you fool like anything.. see you girl.👍🏼
(Wrong dubbing : if i did not do this drama, how would have kissed you?🤬)
Actual Tamil dialogue of the road side bike scene you showed -
(He is sitting on the bike and the girl is asking for a lift after the fight...
The dialogue :😵‍💫 (Danush) after this much of a fight everyone knows you are my friend now you can go wherever without any fear.. no one can touch you.. now you just pick a bus and go to college.. I ll go by my bike.. see you)👍🏼
(Wrong dubbing : you won't wear a saree, your clothes cause such conflict 🤬)

But TBH, when RRR was released, I never expected that win accolades from the western side, as for me, it was an enjoyable mass masala film, with tonnes of hyperheroism. Not taking away any shine from the ultimate Academy glory, but Naatu Naatu, for an average Telugu music listener, is just another routine foot-tapping number. And yet, RRR became a rage all over the world.

I always felt uncomfortable watching that scene from Meesa Madhavan. Thanks for pointing that out in a public platform.
As you said It really was the dark period of Malayalam cinema that's you'll see a lot of these type of movies in that decade.
They were trying to compete with Tamil and Telugu cinema interms of style and stuff and they were failing miserably. That's where Dileeps's movies came in.His movies were comedy oriented ,because most of the movies were just waste at that time , the family audiences started taking liking to Dileep's filims.
Even though most of his films were actually cult entertainers like CID moosa ,Parakkum Thalika,Kalyanaraman etc, there were movies like Mayamohini,Sringaravelan who were misogynistic and full of crap.
These movies came out when Internet or social media wasn't a thing, So people weren't really thinking of issues like these in the dialogues .
For them it was just a medium to laugh with their family.
Still it shouldn't have been done but it is what it is. We make mistakes and learn from it.
Thanks to Social media we don't really see these type of content that much now.

bewafa was not unrealistic. i have seen this kind of relationships in society and that's sacrifice which i honestly would not expect or would do... but there are many cases like this in our Indian society. let's not call that cringe atleast for those souls which sacrificed their life

Tum apni life sacrifice kar payoge, to fer bolna, this is cringe, illogical sacrifice, tum apni bhai or bahen ki bata ke liya apni jindagi sacrifice to nahi karoge

I have seen this kind of relationship in real life. Initially I felt that aunty decision was idiotic but later when I heard why she took that decision I felt that's sacrifice only.
Just imagine if hero married another strange women and she didn't take care of those kids and end up messing up those kids life? What would you do to those kids?
From being a aunt of those , she takes the role of their mother. That's sacrifice only, that's the greatness of women @saumisardar4932

Hats off to your patience and tolerance level. I would have left this planet. Remember the scene from Big Bang theory where Sheldon turns into flash goes all the way to Grand Canyon just to scream out his frustration. Last few seconds of this video I could see those exact emotions on your face.

Indian movies during 60s to 90s are greatly responsible for what women are suffering since then

Films depicted how women were treated in real life. Instead of blaming films entirely, we as a society should take an initiative to change for the better.

for your matlab kuchi bhi video, you can perhaps look at Maddy's 2005 Tamil movie Priyasakhi. It had so many problems.
    - Maddy falls in love with Sadha who is a modern girl but still wants her to be traditional
    - He polices the dress she wears saying it shows her legs
    - he offers her stuff for others to look at it without her permission
    - he, by law, forces her to carry her pregnancy when she wants an abortion
Sadha's character had a lot of problems. But I felt, if Maddy's character jsut wanted a traditional wife who complies with all above, he should have married one instead of forcing a modern girl to change for him.

The basic story line of “Bewafa” was taken from “Gumrah” a good 60s classic with beautiful music Gumrah handled the subject in a semi mature way whereas Bewafa became stupid with KK trying to seduce AK etc. Totally agree with concept that of a woman giving up her own love for sake of family is wrong . Similarly MD was going to do it in HAHK but their pet stopped it from happening. Also Gumrah was accepted in the 60s because of its treatment and the sentiments (am not defending them ) of the time
