I've been a fan of this movie since my first trip to Epcot in 1983 (when I was 10). I'm now 42 and I still get complete goosebumps every time that I watch it.
i still shed a tear everytime, been going since 1990
Hear hear!
I am the same age and this is my favorite in Epcot since I could remember. I live in Orlando and this film never gets old ❤
i think its because of the mystical music by french composers. its really magica, I'm from Portugal with is close to France, and the sights on this movie are not very different from our country :)
You're 45 now. I'll be back in three more years to cheerfully remind you that Time is the great leveler and Death is waiting for us all. You're welcome!
I love thrill rides but this has actually become my favorite attraction at Disney World. Masterful filmmaking. The cinematography, choice of scenes, music, narration. So moving. It actually makes my eyes water.
the music and the image, so perfect. it's disney filmmaking perfection. and the only ride at epcot that hasn't been changed since its opening!
I wish they'd release the buddy baker score as well :(
Matt Fondacaro Yes, Buddy Bakers arrangement is exquisite. Love this attraction. Need to get back to Walt Disney World...
and they better not touch it either!
Absolutely. ..it's a classic as well as irreplaceable. ..let's hope and pray that Disney doesn't replace or remove this feature. ...they're talking about adding a Ratatouille feature in the French pavilion soon...
So thankful for the video my wife and I have been blessed and lucky enough to come down to Epcot 144 times we never miss an opportunity to go over to France thank you again for the great memories
A hidden gem in Walt Disney World.. !! love this attraction!
the problem is this is not the real france ,d'accord ?
my favorite attraction at EPCOT.
The nostalgia hit me hard.
At work, in my little cubicle, listening [and watching] WDW music videos on RUclips, dreaming of my next trip to WDW... *sigh*
I feel you man, I miss wdw as well
The ending of this film is just epic.
I honestly think that the part that begins at 3:23 must be what Heaven looks and sounds like. It is hauntingly beautiful. The entire show is beautiful but that part is my favorite. It takes you to another existence.
While I'm lucky enough to live an hour away from Epcot, it's good to know I can come here and watch my favorite movie from World Showcase without paying Mickey a hundred bucks for the privilege. Thanks, Martin!
Martin, Thanks for the hard work of filming this. Just wanted to say it is much appreciated. My favorite hidden treasure in Epcot, and the music is beautiful.
Merci beaucoup for sharing this! Other than IllumiNations, this is my MUST do when visiting Epcot. The music and the scenery make me want to visit France.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. My favorite attraction in the World Showcase!
Always love watching this.
One of my favorite things to do in world showcase!
Thank you so very, very much for sharing!
Am I the only person who actually wants to go to France upon watching this, and not just to the Disney imitation?
I love this film so much!! Thank you!
Music is just breath-taking
Most of this was filmed in 1979-1980, literally another world.
Top 5 favorite in Disney ❤️
Lovely place !
I want to party with that farmer wearing the grapevine on his head. 🎉
Travis Bohrer
Me too lol
That be crazy uncle Al again don't pay attention to the grapes on his head....lmfao😂
Really surprised they haven't gone back with better video technology and re-made the movie.
mycroft791 this is so classic I don't know if people would like them changing it you know?
I love this movie. My girlfriend and I go every December. 306 more days!
George Harrison on guitar at 14:44
not many french speakers are in epcot, funny to speak with the staff in french in walt disney world
my favorite part about disney!
its not the france, its a dream,i know it for im french
Is this still there?
Does anyone know if the soundtrack to this is publicly available? The version of clair De lune they use is amazing :3
Angelica Camacho www.amazon.com/Impressions-de-France-Instrumental/dp/B00EDN1TM8
love the church bells at 5:39
What's the song at the end..not the one from Energy but the French one before it.
The song at the end of the film is part of Camille Saint-Saens' 3rd organ symphony.
What is the name of this beautiful tune that comes up at 18:00 - 18:10?
It is music from the ballet Gaîté Parisienne composed by Jacques Offenbach but orchestrated by Manuel Rosenthal.
That first song of the movie... I swear I've heard it somewhere other than the France pavilion. I just heard it two days ago for the first time in years (10+). Does that opening song play somewhere else too?
Might be from a classical music composer it might’ve been under the public domain
Who else cries at the end?
19:02 - 20:21 why is the Babe the pig film theme song is playing?
Please They Need To Bring France To Tokyo DisneySea
What is the name of the song that begins at 3:30?
Found it!
camille saint-saëns aquarium :)
Not gonna lie, it legit makes me fall asleep. It's cool though.
What is the song at 11:25?
Cook my life it's a variation of "Clair de lune" by Debussy
If you want to see the original version (with the original music score), it is over at ruclips.net/video/qpCD4utylEA/видео.html IMHO, the original music score is far superior.
Never saw this. I was too late to the Disney brethren/flock/DVC/AP holder to see this. Come to find out it was replaced by a sing-a-long. Sad that Disney missed the value of this production. The loss of this show proves how Disney just seems to cater to a younger and younger audience. Is it to much to ask that guests remain silent for 15-min to learn something; rather than replace it with another kid friendly activity: sing-a-longs, and meet and greets. There is plenty of room for all ages and activities.
I agree 100% with you.
They still show this, but only in the beginning hours and in the evenings.
Great film, but Bastille Day... ick
I'm sorry to people out there who actually like this show but in my opinion it is not worth your time to go and see because I just thought it was a real snoozer show and there are a bunch of other attractions at epcot that are much more worth your time. Unless they update this show soon to make it more interesting and less boring, it most likely needs to be removed from the park.
boooooooo! lol
+An1mag1qu3 what is your problem? you are acting way too butt hurt over me stating my own opinion on this show and just because i don't like it does not mean i need to be banned from the parks! that's kind of like saying that someone doesn't deserve to be alive just because they don't like star wars. i love star wars myself but i was just using that as an example obviously.
Samuel's right, in that he's entitled to his opinion. I love this attraction. The music and cinematography work together to give a wonderful overview of France. Film attractions are not for everyone, though. There's no thrill aspect, and not everyone wants to sit for an 18-minute show. If you want a fast-paced ride, then yes, this might not be for you. If you want a relaxed and beautiful view of France, with an amazing score, then by all means join me in the theater.
And, I might add, Martin's work is incredible. His videos are always a joy to watch!
Speak for yourself, I think it's the best film of the three remaining at the World Showcase. I don't mainly go to Epcot to ride thrill rides (even if I do enjoy the few they have there), I go to soak up the atmosphere and get a little taste of foreign culture.
