The relatively small town of Chasiv Yar has played an outsized role in the conflict and has been battered by months of intense fighting. With each week more Ukraine real estate is lost. And when the conflict ends, less will be returned to Ukraine. Any rational person realizes this. Hard won real estate will not be given away. Putin undoubtedly has a list of wartime grievances and will over time seek retribution for some actions. Not in weeks or even a year. But over a decade or more. As time goes by some resources become more and more valuable and important. Russia is very large and has these resources. What will buyers have to pay and who will Russia sell minerals to ?
