Short answer: You really need to watch Char's Counterattack. Long answer: The psychoframe is an alloy which resonates with human brainwaves. It can make machines respond faster to you and also help track down opponents. The shield/bazooka detachment was an extremely badass trick Amuro did in the movie involving his personal zipline and a fight with the Sazabi.
Yep. Remember, we're talking about the crazy nutcase who managed to beat up a state-of-the-art transforming Assimar with a big, clumsy transport plane. And don't forget Shiro Amada, who defeated a prototype high-maneuverability Zaku with just a Ball. We saw some incredible shows of sheer raw skill in UC that we never really saw again afterward - it's like those miraculous skills have been shafted in favor of weapons spamming, for the most part.
yes, he has intuition which is a mix of flash and lock on. he doesn't need that much hp, but a little boost to 6k helped me survive a lot of hits that would be near 1-hits.
The best part about that ball? It had a Massive Gundam Face welded to it which actually DECREASED its performance slightly and he killed the last Dom by ejecting it off onto him
Yes, that is true. He DIDN'T do it himself, and he can't. However, it can also be viewed as Amuro's power in a way. If he didn't take the lead, none of the other guys would have tried to follow his crazy plan either. After he started trying to push, even the enemy began to as well. Though he was powerless himself, it can also be argued that his leadership spirit and charisma was responsible
Rau Le Crueset actually refers to himself as a Newtype in the series. Until the end of Gundam Seed, Mwu (being genetically related to Rau) is the only one with the spatial awareness to fight off Rau. In Seed/ Seed Destiny, Kira is the perfect coordinator and is shown to have quantum spatial awareness when using Strike Freedom. Even when he fights Rey (who is just a clone of Rau), the two actually start yelling at each other via quantum brain waves.
There's a reason why he's considered a legendary UC gundam character... a mix of experience and newtype powers by this point make him one of the best. That and frankly I think the last time someone made Heero better than Amuro, I think Tomino acually killed some people.
Another moment of insane piloting: Umon Samon of Crossbone Gundam (an old geezer and a Newtype) beat 6 Doms in a Ball during the One Year War. Newtype skills or no, that's an insane feat.
Heck yeah B-Gundam! Best part in my mind though is when they see it peeking over a hill with a GM and think it its a HUGE Gundam based on its head alone, something along the lines of Bigger than the Perfect Zeong
Wing Zero's map weapon does have wider range, and plus zero system can do some immense damage. But Hi-Nu still outclasses it by far considering it has almost every major real robot strength imaginable plus high hp, far above average armor for a real robot type, and near godlike speed combined with Amuro's high dodge. Its nearly unbeatable...I sent it into the last scenerio by itself once and it almost did the job single handedly.
Just goes to show that you should never underestimate any unit in the Gundam universe. Even a mere ball can be devastating in the hands of the right pilot. XD
The Hi-Nu Gundam appeared in the novelisation of Char's Counterattack. In the animation, said Gundam was a rushed production as Amuro needed it in a hurry to fight Char. The novel gives a "what if" senario if Amuro had more time to develop his MS. Needless to say, the Hi-Nu is a far more powerful machine then the original RX-93
Wel, the reason they downscaled them was to make them harder to hit, more manueverable, and cheaper to produce. They still had he insanely durable Gundarium armor, the beam weapon arsenal, and the other fun tricks that made Nu and Hi-Nu powerful, but now in a smaller, deadlier package. And on the topic of the Xi Gundam, hell yes funnel missiles.
One of my roommates made a rather silly joke when he saw this video, saying that when the Hi-Nu is facing its enemies and launching its Fin Funnels, Amuro was "throwing Lalah at them." =D
yup yup, and its been troubling lots of gundam fans to either label the G gundam series as a real robot or super robot series because of the vast power those gundams possessed.
in earlier installments some of the mobile suits were full length but there was little to no animation to it. super deformed mode is pretty helpful since it concentrates on the units tactics and movements rather than the characters dialog.
You just knew that, once they had psycommu receptors down to an affordable price, they'd slap them on damn near everything INCLUDING missiles. Imagine what other applications they have! Car funnels, elevator funnels, coffee machine funnels... It would be a world you could control with your mind!
psyco frame is an MS hardware introduced in the UC char counterattack era that enhances New Type related proformance. e.g. funnel attacks (think of it as a zero or seed system for the New Types) as for the shield and the bazooka beside for sake of maximin mobility when amuro does his fly around like a mad man shit the only other reason i can think of is for dramatic effect of the battle scene.
You're mistaken, funnels don't have their own power sources, they have to constantly dock with the suit for refilling or they run out of fuel. Bits have their own power generators. DRAGOONS and funnels are essentially the same, because both have limited fuel supplies and need to dock with the suit regularly. They also both require quantum brain waves to operate, which is why only Kira, Rau, Rey, and Mwu use them.
Yeah, remember the epic final duel between Nu Gundam and Sazabi? Amuro and Char blew through all of their weapons and practically tore each other's suits apart. You never see anything of that level in SEED. 00 might come close, but most of the battles feel too rushed, so I just don't get that same sort of epic feel from them.
Ok, just to be sure I understand. ALL of Nu Gundam was a psychoframe, and the T shaped bit was just a sample that Chan had that reacted on its own and flew around the battlefield right? I saw the movie after playing the game, so it was neat to see how much detail they put into these attacks, like the bazooka and shield thing and the sounds the funnels make.
However Kira doesn't need the super dragoon as it shows, when he first uses the dragoons, that he has developed spatial awareness. So Kira could just ordinary dragoon systems like providence or dreadnought.
@lemmehaviet No. Hi-Nu Gundam had a specialized high powered beam cannon that was so powerful that the only way it could be powered was by hooking it up to the Ra Cailum. Amuro tries to use it in the novel to take pot shots at the Axis asteroid to destroy it, but it ultimately proves useless.
Yep, and don't forget - no other Newtypes or anything even resembling Newtypes in the other Gundam series and universes can do the kind of metaphysical stuff that the powerful UC Newtypes could - remember the bright green flash that pushed Axis away from Earth? I know that wasn't just Amuro that did that but I've yet to see another Newtype beat that.
general question guys, i love all the gundams in this game and i was wondering, is there any combination attacks of gundams from the different series working together? like UC with GW, GX, GG? i seen it in the ACE series, i wonder if there was anything like that here; god i would love to read their dialogue among themselves
Combine that with the N-Jammer Canceller and you have endless nuclear energy. In conclusion, both the Hi-Nu and the Strike Freedom have inifinite energy. Game. Set. Match. Those are the facts.
Amuro is "Mr. Flash" in Super Robot Wars. As in, the seishin was modelled after him. :) I don't think there's a single game in which he doesn't have it.
ya, but in extra-hard mode, they are really harder. they are smarter with casting and those who can cast direct hit do...and srsly, only 1 attack has to get through to him. equipping amuro with super alloy z helped me a lot and eliminated soft resets
It's just Moonlight Butterfly because the creator wanted it to be (and becasue of the way it looks). Heero's and Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle cannot compare to the 100% Turn A's rifle which is the size of a colony laser (A note from the novel I believe). Turn A is at the end of of all the Gundam series' past and future. Turn types are the strongest MS out there. (They may even use DG cells) However, Amuro used Newtype awesomeness to beat Turn A in Gundam Musou 2/Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2.
Nope. I'm not sure, perhaps some are entirely UC, but for the last few releases, they've tried to incorporate all of the series involved at the time into one big SRW-style crossover storyline.
until Alpha Gaiden. Char made his own Neo Zeon force and became enemy in Alpha 2 and dies(or vapourised due to the psycoframe reaction)at the 2nd last stage and then appears again in Alpha 3's final stage as a spirit form together with Lalah to give his old friends support
Not only that, Hi-Nu can form a fin-funnel barrier to protect itself or trap enemy units. That's a massive advantage. In the SEED universe, the only 2 units that could do that were the upgraded "X-Astray" Dreadnought and the Akatsuki.
@alchoholicsementhful In 0:21 it shows in the description that Hi-Nu is using a beam cannon shooting it out of his shield. I don't see the cannon in my MG model is it supposed to replace the mini missle's that were attached in Nu gundams shield? If it is doesn't Hi-Nu already have a beam rifle?
Yes, the only reason why any pilot obtained so much kills in the Cosmic Era was only because the Gundams they pilot was so overpowered, none of them even have any pilot skills unlike the UC pilots like Amuro Ray or Char Aznable.
Oh yes, that's right! I forgot about Hyperion. It was a nice little unit. The beam shield gave it a tremendous advantage but it also had its flaws (burned battery power like crazy forcing Canard to get a N-Jammer Canceler, not impervious to everything), and it had a nice, basic well-rounded armament, but nothing too ridiculous, and it looked neat, too.
That's where you are wrong. The Destiny ran out of power because Mirage Collioid and Wings of Light take more power than the Nuclear energy can provide. The Strike Freedom lacks this problem.
The scar damage mayb ese permenent because Turn A and X are never shown at a 100%. It's possilbe they have DG cells and can repair much better, however, they are never shown to be at full capability. So that scar may not be there if Turn X "awakens"
Okay, I'll admit, I've been into SRW since F on the Playstation but I've never taken the time to seriously get into the older Gundams. With that out of the way, I'd like to ask for the title of the Hi-Nu Gundam's theme. It's bizarrely hypnotic.
Wonder what it would have been to see Hi-nu and Nightingale go at each other. Well, at least the 00 fights have quality (00 raiser vs arche?), but they're too short. SEED was more philosophical than anything else, and also that anyone possible of matching up to god-mode Kira was already at his side or dead.
1:18 , damn powerful ... killed all these guys with a single beam shot.... while the mighty kira yamato with his strike freedom would take a full power full burst attack to destroy them....LONG LIVE AMURO!!!
Short answer: You really need to watch Char's Counterattack.
Long answer: The psychoframe is an alloy which resonates with human brainwaves. It can make machines respond faster to you and also help track down opponents. I totaly agree. Hi-Nu is easily a beast of its own kind. Its like a Hybrid Super/Real, plus Amuro is in the cockpit, which just makes it more beatly.
"Beyond the Time" The song that plays during the credits to Char's Counterattack.
Yep. Remember, we're talking about the crazy nutcase who managed to beat up a state-of-the-art transforming Assimar with a big, clumsy transport plane. We saw some incredible shows of sheer raw skill in UC that we never really saw again afterward - it's like those miraculous skills have been shafted in favor of weapons spamming, for the most part.
The music is suprisingly soothing...
yes, he has intuition which is a mix of flash and lock on. he doesn't need that much hp, but a little boost to 6k helped me survive a lot of hits that would be near 1-hits.
The best part about that ball? It had a Massive Gundam Face welded to it which actually DECREASED its performance slightly and he killed the last Dom by ejecting it off onto him
Amuro's not dead, he just wound up being reborn as Kira Yamato. But damn, that Hi-Nu's a BEAST.
Yeah I agree. The whole suit is fit to his style.
Yes, that is true. He DIDN'T do it himself, and he can't. However, it can also be viewed as Amuro's power in a way. If he didn't take the lead, none of the other guys would have tried to follow his crazy plan either. After he started trying to push, even the enemy began to as well. Best Fin Funnel animation ever
There's a reason why he's considered a legendary UC gundam character... a mix of experience and newtype powers by this point make him one of the best. That and frankly I think the last time someone made Heero better than Amuro, I think Tomino acually killed some people.

yeah the Hi-Nu is a awesome gundam it took me 4 whole days to complete 2 and detailing them.
i think it just makes it look cool
Heck yeah B-Gundam! Best part in my mind though is when they see it peeking over a hill with a GM and think it its a HUGE Gundam based on its head alone, something along the lines of Bigger than the Perfect Zeong
Wing Zero's map weapon does have wider range, and plus zero system can do some immense damage. I think that the Nu and Hi-Nu Gundam are the strongest Gundams in the Universal Century. :D
I like the Fin Funnel of the Hi-Nu Gundam. Not only does it cost a mere 15 EN, it has LALAH!
One of my roommates made a rather silly joke when he saw this video, saying that when the Hi-Nu is facing its enemies and launching its Fin Funnels, Amuro was "throwing Lalah at them." =D
It's been 6 years and I'm coming back to watch this video. They should remake Char's counter attack only with Hi-Nu and Nightingale.
yup yup, and its been troubling lots of gundam fans to either label the G gundam series as a real robot or super robot series because of the vast power those gundams possessed.

Beyond the Time FTW. This song needs to be used more often.
That's right. The name "Fin Funnel" is a misnomer. They are really Bits.
It's "Beyond the Time" by TM Network. Char's Counterattack's ending theme....sounds perfectly fitting for Amuro.
before i didnt think highly of amuro but now he owns
psyco frame is an MS hardware introduced in the UC char counterattack era that enhances New Type related proformance. e.g. funnel attacks (think of it as a zero or seed system for the New Types)
as for the shield and the bazooka beside for sake of maximin mobility when amuro does his fly around like a mad man shit the only other reason i can think of is for dramatic effect of the battle scene.
that's some massive damage there, i haven't played alpha 3 before but if u could do those sorts of damage in alpha 1, you'd be god
In some SRW games, the Flash/Alert seishin even has the Newtype sound. Just another reference to the legendary Real Robot pilot.
This was uploaded 7 years ago and I still come back here.
hi nu gundam the king of all real robots
The cylinders also double as storage tanks for extra propellant.
The Hi-Nu sure is borderlining on being broken in Alpha 3...not that I mind at all. Its befitting the first Gundam pilot.
It had better be. Amuro created its basic design himself, although the final touches and the Psycoframe were added by Anaheim.
Yeah, remember the epic final duel between Nu Gundam and Sazabi? Amuro and Char blew through all of their weapons and practically tore each other's suits apart. You never see anything of that level in SEED. 00 might come close, but most of the battles feel too rushed, so I just don't get that same sort of epic feel from them.
in srwz, nu gundam has one for funnels. also, the regz that amuro pilots has a really sick one, too
Ok, just to be sure I understand. ALL of Nu Gundam was a psychoframe, and the T shaped bit was just a sample that Chan had that reacted on its own and flew around the battlefield right?
I saw the movie after playing the game, so it was neat to see how much detail they put into these attacks, like the bazooka and shield thing and the sounds the funnels make.
o wow, head vulcan kills pretty fast
However Kira doesn't need the super dragoon as it shows, when he first uses the dragoons, that he has developed spatial awareness. So Kira could just ordinary dragoon systems like providence or dreadnought.
Not to mention an alarming critical rate.
@Zen09 They are considered MIA, so there is a possibility they will be brought back for future installments for the franchise.
Amuro is also Very Dashing in a Tuxedo and Mask
Also heck yeah Beyond the Time
Oh yeah, was that the Gundam-face Ball from one of the manga? That thing was hilariously crazy.
I'm a SEED fan and I fucking love this.
And Amuro got Gyunei to think he got him and attacked him from there.

Original Nu's vulcans weren't for show either. The damn things blew through Geara Dogas like they were Leos.
@WildSeven0079 That whole fin funnel attack is just full of HOLY SHIT to me.
It also keeps the enemy in a state of WTF?!?! before being blown to pieces :P
Combine that with the N-Jammer Canceller and you have endless nuclear energy. In conclusion, both the Hi-Nu and the Strike Freedom have inifinite energy. Game. Set. Match. Those are the facts.
i knew that the funnal missies would show up in gundam one day XD

lo que mas me gustom del hi nu gundam era la cancion del final de "char counter atack" que como rifaba esa rola
True even in the newest one he dw less but still owns and yes in my book thats a word
Oh... in that case Kira would be SO screwed (Fin Funnels, good luck blocking those!)
I can agree with that one. I just hated all the falsifications people were making about the suits.
Interesting crowd Amuro runs with these days.
It's just Moonlight Butterfly because the creator wanted it to be (and becasue of the way it looks).

nice animation for 2D
Wow.Hi-Nu Gundam is strong.Go Amuro!
@Omnicrom Okay then so do you know what it look like it sound like a kickass Gundam that really can take on anything.
@lemmehaviet
Sorry i do not have exact sizes but based on the size of the mobile suits that can be seen, Axis should be substantially larger.
Not only that, Hi-Nu can form a fin-funnel barrier to protect itself or trap enemy units. That's a massive advantage. In the SEED universe, the only 2 units that could do that were the upgraded "X-Astray" Dreadnought and the Akatsuki.

Don't forget to add Genesic Gaogaiger to the chuck norris baddass list.
there is already one such game series: Gundam Generations, only Gundam series included
Yes, the only reason why any pilot obtained so much kills in the Cosmic Era was only because the Gundams they pilot was so overpowered, none of them even have any pilot skills unlike the UC pilots like Amuro Ray or Char Aznable.
Love Amuro's style of mindgaming the enemy with his decoy shield.
I wish they used Beyond the Time for every SRW appearance for the Nu/Hi-Nu....
Yup, it's a beast... endgame Turn A anyways.
That's where you are wrong. The Destiny ran out of power because Mirage Collioid and Wings of Light take more power than the Nuclear energy can provide. The Strike Freedom lacks this problem.
this nu is pretty strong
oh thx for explaining
@Omnicrom Can you explain more on what this Phoenix Gundam is please
@alchoholicsementhful Does Hi-Nu shoot pink, orange, or blue lazer?
The scar damage mayb ese permenent because Turn A and X are never shown at a 100%. It's possilbe they have DG cells and can repair much better, however, they are never shown to be at full capability.

yeah thats why i use this nickname :P
I just got Hi nu myself and i do have to say that he is better than freedom. Even more so than with their meteor systems and seed mode.

Well, at least the 00 fights have quality (00 raiser vs arche?), but they're too short.
SEED was more philosophical than anything else, and also that anyone possible of matching up to god-mode Kira was already at his side or dead.
Probably not F-91 and Crossbone since it was a time when MS were being down-scaled. Hathaway's Xi Gundam is another big one
i happened to think...strike freedom is just an upgraded version of hi-nu, with different color.:X
1:18 , damn powerful ... killed all these guys with a single beam shot....
while the mighty kira yamato with his strike freedom would take a full power full burst attack to destroy them....LONG LIVE AMURO!!!
@evoracer86 they are dead in the novels (which are considered non-cannon) and MIA in the movie.
i still like the Nu Gundam more then the Hi-Nu Gundam
Ra Calium Cannon for the win.
@lemmehaviet I am not sure but I did hear the MG Hi Nu did not have some stuff..............
