Nearly 4 minutes of B-roll to open AND multi camera angles with interesting composition and depth of field! Someone is stretching her creative wings. Well done Ma’am!
When I have cozy game time I like to go to RUclips and play a video that has images and music that suit the game theme. Wingspan gets bird images with bird song and piano music, Earth gets waterfall/nature images with flowing water sounds and guitar music, Everdell gets a little animated fairy village with medieval lute music, Isle of cats gets ships at sea with sea shanties, etc. It really sets the mood for the game.
I had a lovely cosy solo game of Wild Gardens this weekend and I narrated all my game choices to the dog. He agreed with all my forage and feeding strategies.
Great video & I love a cozy game day. My fave cozy games are Verdant, Wingspan & a Gentle Rain. I also like playing 2 players games by myself & compete against myself.
this was so cute and relaxing. i thought the whole video might be watching you preparing and playing in silence and i had to giggle when you said "okay, let's get started." after all the loveley preparations, like, right... take your time being present and mindful. need to remind myself about that way too often.
This gave me such happy Bob Ross goes boardgaming vibes ♡ and thank you for including us lactose intolerant people, it's a tough life when you have to limit dairy lol
Oh my goodness, LOVE that intro - was very cozy. It takes its time, the art is easy to appreciate without being pretentious. After a few minutes I wondered if that would be the whole video, but didn't actually care about the answer.
Loved this video! I've been trying to do some cozy gaming lately. I prefer warm lighting in general (the harsher lighting triggers my rosacea) and also think blankets and a cozy beverage help set the mood. Would love to see vlog style videos of cozy gaming!
This gave me ASMR feels even though this isn’t asmr. The cozy theme and I think your calm voice are giving me the asmr tingles. I honestly love your channel. My husband got me into board games over the last 5 years that we’ve been together, but kind of the last couple months I’ve really become like full on into the hobby. I actually started solo board gaming over Christmas and such a cozy experience. Anyway really like your content ☺️
Love this video. I find I can stress about rules quite a bit, so my cozy games are ones that I know well. I usually listen to lo-fi or chillhop whule cozy gaming. Thanks Jamie!
This is a really lovely video! We have some very similar taste in games for chill solo days as well. I have to ask though, where did you get that table! Really really cool.
❤❤ Loved the cosy video of cosy gaming! It was very soothing. I want to add my vote to more cosy gaming videos too. Ooh and perhaps a solo cosy gaming session where we can get cosy and play along solo with you (games like railroad ink, cartographers, etc where we use your dice rolls/ cards draws etc) 😊
I loved this video and I love cozy board games! I would have to say for cozy games Meadow, Creature Comforts, Maple Valley, A Gentle Rain, For Northwood, and any Button Shy Games are my go-to cozy games.
Love the couch, love the blanket, love the table, LOVE the retro lamp! Candles 💯! Hot drink a must! Of course our weather is similar to yours (Alaska) so understand if others don’t think so being closer to the equator 🥵 Excellent video as always!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Wonderful video. A Gentle Rain is so great! I also love Floriferous, Metro X and various ButtonShy games. For two players, we also love Sea, Salt and Paper as well as Jaipur, Skulls of Sedlec and Lost Cities as cozy games. Loved the production quality of this video and appreciate the effort that you obviously put into it. I had not realized that you could get coffee tables that had lift tops -- great idea to use in front of a couch. I just retired so cozy solo gaming is a great idea for me so very timely video. Loved it. Thanks.
Iam lactose intolerant but I love cheese. Of all kinds. The cookie plate almost had a smiley face with beard. Also lovely video. More cozy solo recs, please.
Oh my goodness, I audibly gasped at the reveal of that coffee tables continuous reveal. My couch would be used FAR more often if the coffee table turned into a space to play board games on (or a table you aren't hunkered over). Also, love and need that mug, I somehow ended up with a vast array of Eeyore like things. Great video.
I love this way of gaming. I always play a RUclips video that shows a pleasant scene while playing instrumental music. It’s almost always seasonal so right now, a lot of winter scenes. Creature Comforts pairs well with winter. I dress the part by dressing cozy in PJs and big cozy socks. A hot cup of cocoa and…warm muffins. I prefer baked goods over candles as my sinuses are a bit sensitive to scented things.
I started back in the hobby these last few months, and I’ve been gearing my reintroduction toward exactly what you talk about in this video. I have or wishlisted each of the solo games and agree on the coziness (including Final Girl!), and I’m working toward making my (future) kitchen table a cozy space (the coffee table isn’t nearly consistently cleared enough). As for other games, For Northwood is great, as is Kinfire Delve (for similar reasons as Final Girl), but once I get more table space, Stardew Valley will be up there Thanks for this video, and more cozy game talk as/when you want!
My favorite cozy game is Earthborne Rangers! Good solo or multiplayer. You and Jeff should totally try it especially if you like games like Marvel Champions but want a chiller vibe
I love a warm lamp. My house is full of mismatched old lamps, I rarely turn on the house lights and only use lamps. That table is genius. I do my cozy solo gaming at a coffee table but it is too low and I get stiff and sore. I tend to play the same game multiple times when cozy gaming. I feel like after the effort of set up, I want to get the most out of it. I'm really enjoying SOS Titanic at the moment, it takes me back to my childhood playing patience. Very simple, the game almost plays itself. It is just very comforting and relaxing, sitting and manipulating the cards. KAY!!!
@FostertheMeeple It is very fun. Only had a limited release, I had to get a Japanese version. I think it is the epitome of a cozy game. Looks pretty, is quite relaxed, is tactile, easy to set up and very calming
Love this! My solo cozy games right now are Arnak (with “Adventure Music” instrumental), Marvel Champions (with the Marvel soundtrack) Wyrmspan and Hadrians Wall (with a jazz instrumental fireplace running haha). Need to up my game on themed snacks though!
I can see that you put a lot of work into this video, so thank you. Would love to see more content on cozy solo games or even a whole video similar to the intro on this one. I recently had a cozy gaming experience playing Agueda: City of Umbrellas. Easy rule set and chunky colorful components. Also have been enjoying Fliptown, including the solo campaign mode.
Jenna at Board Game Garden is also awesome. Cozy solo games for me include Cascadia, Orchard-Grove-Forage, Sagrada, and, of course, most Button Shy games. Maybe you just did your top cozy games in this video 😊
Ive always thought you guys should do a free/inexpensive Solo pnp games episode. I live in Australia with the cost of living crisis pnp options are great and especially for solo. Just an idea. Great video also!
Omg I do this kind of cozy board gaming all the time. I have a puzzle table I bring out instead of the lifting coffee table. I follow a RUclips channel who makes music for different board games I love to put on. And yes a platter of cheese and crackers is a great pairing with cozy gaming 😊
Love this video! And I agree, final girl is the best! Can’t wait for season three to get here. Also, I remember in a past video you said Three Sisters was getting an update. Should I wait for that or just get the game?

That coffee table is amazing! We need a table like that for some sofa gaming
It's really awesome and has lots of storage - you could put your coach games in it!

Love that idea!!
Love the table lamp in this room!
I had a lovely cosy solo game of Wild Gardens this weekend and I narrated all my game choices to the dog. He agreed with all my forage and feeding strategies.
omg narrating to your dog is so cute!!!!!! I just played Wild Gardens this past weekend and it totally fits the bill!
Yes a top 10 list of cozy games would be awesome!!! Give me all the cozy games 🤩🩷
For sure gonna do that!
I love this! I need a cozy game day stat. Please do more of this. ❤
💜
I love this style of gaming, especially this time of year :)
same!!
We loved watching this video. It put us in a cozy game mood. We definitely vote for more cozy games ♥️
Yay!!
Great video & I love a cozy game day. My fave cozy games are Verdant, Wingspan & a Gentle Rain. I also like playing 2 players games by myself & compete against myself.
I’ve only learned games playing as multiple characters but I really like that idea!!
this was so cute and relaxing. i thought the whole video might be watching you preparing and playing in silence and i had to giggle when you said "okay, let's get started." after all the loveley preparations, like, right... take your time being present and mindful. need to remind myself about that way too often.
it can be very hard to slow down sometimes!! aha
I've experienced a few barriers to solo gaming and I think really focusing on the space and chilling out on the rules will really help!
Such a great video! Thank you for this.
Thanks for watching!!
I want that pop out gaming table. No no i NEED it! Great cozy video. Thank you
💜
This gave me such happy Bob Ross goes boardgaming vibes ♡ and thank you for including us lactose intolerant people, it's a tough life when you have to limit dairy lol
Happy cheese .. I mean.. trees! haha
Harvest is my latest comfort and cozy solo game. ❤ Such a zen video!
Harvest is a great pick!! I love it!
Love this! More please!
Oh my goodness, LOVE that intro - was very cozy. It takes its time, the art is easy to appreciate without being pretentious. After a few minutes I wondered if that would be the whole video, but didn't actually care about the answer.
yay!! Thanks!
OMG! This actually made me crave a cozy game day, thanks Jamie! Oh, and I'm glad seeing Verdant there as it's 1 of my personal cozy faves! 🥰
💜💜
appreciate the long intro, sets the mood for the rest
More cozy videos would be great. Loved this video. Enjoy your cozy day
Thanks!!
Love it! Cozy boardgames are the best and pleased to see more content on it! :) - Rozie xx
Thanks!! And I agree!!
Loved this video! I've been trying to do some cozy gaming lately. I prefer warm lighting in general (the harsher lighting triggers my rosacea) and also think blankets and a cozy beverage help set the mood. Would love to see vlog style videos of cozy gaming!
I hatttte overhead lighting!
Another cozy one: Harmonies.
Thanks for this video.
Harmonies YES!!
Wow this video made me so cozy. I am going to make me a cozy gaming space. Also that coffee table is crazy awesome!
Thanks!!
100% here for board game journaling! 🥰 I started doing that with my books and would love to do that with games as well ❤
I'm excited to make the video!
A gentle rain is amazing and I really enjoy fighting with Farmer Edith. 😆
Sagrada, Meadow and Cascadia are some of my favorite cozy games.
Meadow is a great one!!
Loved this video! Would love more cozy game videos in the future!
Consider it done!
I have that coffee table! Same color and everything. Super nice for a cozy board game on the couch.
It’s so great!!
Where did you get it? It's so neat!
@ I got it on Amazon - just look up coffee table with life top and you should be able to find it! (or something similar!)
Nice, new video format. I think this goes along with appreciating and revisiting older games you love.
totally!! Thanks!
This gave me ASMR feels even though this isn’t asmr. The cozy theme and I think your calm voice are giving me the asmr tingles. I honestly love your channel. Oh yay to solo gaming!!! 💜
Love this video. I find I can stress about rules quite a bit, so my cozy games are ones that I know well. I usually listen to lo-fi or chillhop whule cozy gaming. Thanks Jamie!
I love a game that I know by heart!!
LOVE this video! I will definitely be replaying this in the background while I do some cozy gaming hehe ❤
💜💜💜
I’m loving this video, Jaimie. I’ve been binge watching your older videos. 0:00 That table is great.
2 candles?! You know this is going to be a banger
Love the suggestions. I enjoy starting cozy game days w coffee and coffee roaster 😊 also, cant wait for the gaming journal! ❤
I have coffee roaster but haven’t played it yet!! I need to!
This is a really lovely video! We have some very similar taste in games for chill solo days as well.
I have to ask though, where did you get that table! Really really cool.
It's from amazon! It's a lift coffee table!

I can't wait to see your gaming journaling video. I definitely need a cozy game day now too! Oh, fromage with a cheese board would be perfect!
Fromage with a cheese board is my ideal game day
Love the couch, love the blanket, love the table, LOVE the retro lamp! Candles 💯! Hot drink a must! Of course our weather is similar to yours (Alaska) so understand if others don’t think so being closer to the equator 🥵 Excellent video as always!! 👍🏻👍🏻

I think Bonsai would fit this cozy vibe for me.
great choice!

Loved it. Thanks.
And the table is from Amazon so it should be easy to find if you’re interested in something like it!!
"I'm not about to eat glass" 😂 I love how you fit your humor into a video about cozy games!
It wouldn’t be one of our videos without it! Haha
Love the set up Jamie 😍😍😍😍 I need that coffee table lol
Thanks!!
I don’t love cheese, but I do appreciate it lol. My wife thinks I’m crazy, she loves cheese… and she’s lactose intolerant 🤣
LOL thats too funny!!
Just echoing what some others have said, but Meadow is the first cozy game that comes to my mind, I think. Great, fun video and suggestions!
We really need to get it back to the table, but I totally agree!
Iam lactose intolerant but I love cheese. Of all kinds. The cookie plate almost had a smiley face with beard. Also lovely video. More cozy solo recs, please.
I may do a top 10 at some point and a cozy game day! Wooo
Most Kraft and all Cabot cheeses have zero lactose!!!🎉😊 just look at the back of the packaging.
I bought a water pattern projector for Endeavor: Deep Sea.
That and RUclips ambience of deep ocean with whale sounds and I’m set.
That sounds amazing!

Ohhh I have for Northwood and haven’t tried it yet I really need to!
@ definitely a simple but fun one! The tutorial on BGA is helpful to get the flow down, but it’s still easy to grasp
My favorite cozy game is Earthborne Rangers! Good solo or multiplayer. You and Jeff should totally try it especially if you like games like Marvel Champions but want a chiller vibe

@ ah yep, totally agree it’s comfort over cozy! I’m eager to see where MC ranks for you in the Top 50 :)

Button Shy games are 100% cozy!!
I call the sides of a board game box the spine. I’ve heard others refer to it this way too. 🤗
It makes sense but at the same time it doesn't but I'm good with it haha
Ive always thought you guys should do a free/inexpensive Solo pnp games episode. I live in Australia with the cost of living crisis pnp options are great and especially for solo. Just an idea. Great video also!
Great idea! I haven’t really explored pnps before but I’ve been starting to think about them a lot lately!
my cozy games currently are Coffee roaster (with a cup of coffee of course), a gentle rain and beacon patrol
I have Coffee Roaster and Beacon Patrol and havent played either yet and now you've inspired me to!
"You should enter it in festivals."
"Or carnivals."
Seriously - great video! I love your approach to these kinds of things!
Thanks!!
Try a Peace Lily. It wilts when it is thirsty. I enjoyed this video. My tabletop gamer brother sent it to me. Thank you.
the plant speaks to you!! haha

That table is perfect for cozy gaming!! Alsoo I don't like cheese...I think I may be the only one in the world 😅
There seems to be a few cheese haters in the comments - you are not alone!!! haha
My girlfriend and I have one of those tables. It works really well. We enjoy your content!
I’m desperately looking for a table like that…. Some tips?
Thanks!! I love the table, it's so convenient!
I think we got it from Amazon - it's called: Rolanstar Coffee Table Lift Top!
@FostertheMeeple we got it from Amazon as well.
that lamp table looked a little unsteady... love the creativity with this video!
the lamp table is VERY unsteady haha
Love this video! And I agree, final girl is the best! Can’t wait for season three to get here. Also, I remember in a past video you said Three Sisters was getting an update. Should I wait for that or just get the game?
I think I remember that and now I don't remember!!
That table looks really nice for casual games and stuff 😁
Would you be able to say what kind it is ?
Yes, please! I need that table. I think I found it on Amazon
@@komori-hime3512 really😳
what was it called I’d really like to get one 😂
@@nicktheprogaming It's labeled as "3-in-1 multifunctional living room table with hidden storage"
@@komori-hime3512 thank you 🙏 so much 😁
Pro tip: 2+ player cozy gaming is the best way to spend a power outage!
10000% agree!!
I like to use the Wingspan music from the steam version sometimes (you can get the actual music separate from the game). It always gave me a cozy vibe when playing the app and so it is great to use while playing other games too.
This was fun.
Thanks!
How much extra work went into setting up and editing this so-called relaxing video? 😮 New space is looking goood!
I'm watching this covered in a blanket and a cat, so I know how to cozify.
Stardew Valley is one of the coziest board games ever!
I love it - I havent tried it solo yet but I really want to!
I'm waiting to hear how long Elevenses stays cozy before someone flips the table, LOL. I don't think it's cutthroat, but I've heard others call it that.
My cozy solo recommendations are Spearmint Valley, At The Helm, Spaceshipped, along with bigger games like Newton, Smartphone Inc., and Pavlov's House.
I haven’t heard of spearmint valley, I’m curious!
Do you have a link to that Eeyore mug?? My mom would absolutely love that lol
I actually picked it up from Winners (TJ MAXX/TK MAXX depending on where you live!)
Where did you get your coffee table that converts to a raised larger table?
Interesting thoughts. I definitely like to make a hot drink to board game with. I keep the drink well away from the table though. Too paranoid of spillages. 😅
I enjoy cosying with marvel champions. I play enough to be super comfortable with the mechanics.
Marvel Champions works for me too!!!
A Gentle Rain can be played 2 player taking turns (much like Dorfromantic)... and technically if you don't get all of your blossoms out you lose. I was surprised to see Calico and Final Girl on here... a lot of people find those games to be stressful. Cascadia is a bit more chill to me than Calico, since you don't get the crunch at the end where it is hard to find places that work to place tiles. Harmonies is another cozy game to me. Personally, I find For Northwood to be cozy, but that may be partially due to growing up playing trick-taking games.
Cozy games for me are patchwork, cascadia, maple valley, and azul.
Maple Valley yessss!!!
great selection of game! i have played Auqa quite a bit and just got River Valley. need to get it to the table. and i like the table. very good for smaller spaces. where did you get it.
Would you recommend the deluxe river valley over the normal. I was concerned as the neoprene seems to curl a lot on the reviews
I haven't had any issues with the mat curling personally! I love the deluxe version, I never think deluxe versions are essential, but this one I really like!
@@FostertheMeeple brill, thanks. I really wanted the dual layer boards. Think I will give it a shot.
awesome 😊
Where did you get your magic game table??
Amazon!! It's a Lift coffee table!

Omg where’s that table from??
It’s from Amazon!! It’s a coffee table with a lift top, I think if you search that you could find it :)

Love your videos. Question. Do you know when My Shellie the dice game is coming out in the USA? It’s too much money getting it from another country right now.
Hmm they had it at PAXU so my guess would be very soon!
Yeah, I'll just grab that park ranger outfit I have hanging around...
Someones GOT to have one haha
