[Tutorial] Invert masking in live2d, no new art layers needed!

  • Here is a quick little video that would of helped me a lot when I started!
    1. Create a duplicate of the layers needed to be the masks and add the word "MASK" or a different identifier to the name and ID slots.
    2. Change Opacity to 0 on the MASK layers.
    3. Edit the mesh to be the correct sizing if applicable, in my case, I didn't need the bottom of the mesh so I removed it.
    4. Ctrl + C the two layers to copy the ID and Ctrl+V (paste) into the "Clipping ID" field of the layer that needs fixing. (in my case the hair strand.)
    5. Click Invert Mask on the layer you put the masks into, in my case the hair strand.
    note: You can glue the mask layer to the original, so they always move together and don't clip weirdly.
