- A quick little tutorial on how to double clip items in Live2D. This is useful if for example you have a shadow that you're trying to clip to your iris which is clipped to the sclera but it is causing it to behave strangely.
Thanks to the folks on the Live2D discord!
For anyone still having issues with the following:
- Showing up again with eyes closed or other linked parameters: Any parameters linked to the eye may have to be redone AFTER you've reclipped everything.
- Sclera shadow popping up over iris, etc.: Play around with the reverse clipping, and where you position the layers.
If you're still having issues, pop into the Live2D discord! The people in there are super helpful and super knowledgeable!
This person adds SUBTITLES to a TUTORIAL video!?...INSTANT SUBSCRIBE! That is a huge help to someone like me with focus issues XD (Also, that i s extra effort and I appreciate it.)
I'm so glad you appreciate it! It takes a lot of time but I know I am so thankful when other people do captions cause I have squirrel brain.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around how this works but THANK YOU!!!! YOU’RE A LIFESAVER!!!!
EXACTKY WHAT I NEEDED!!!
i have been working with artworks that does mutliple amount of clipping and I have been on a headache with workarounds for it. This is exactly what i needed, this is so smart. Thank you for making this video!
This tutorial is a LIFESAVER. I spent several hours trying to fix this thing, i don't understand what's wrong with it, but thank you SO MUCH for posting the solution!!!
My god! I'm so glad you made a video because I'll need to watch this 5 or 12 more times to wrap my brain around it!
THANKS A LOT FOR THE TUTORIAL!!
I had this problem for long time and couldn't solved it until I found your video, thank you
This is amazing! I had this problem and I just imported eyelid layers to fix it because I didn't know how but omg this is so much better! thank you
You're a saint!! exactly what I needed, thank youuuu
thank you, i've been racking my brain about this for a while!
Thank you for this. I'm learning Live2D for the first time and I have a part of the eye that was clipped to the iris, that was clipped to the sclera and it kept showing outside the eye... I tried some reverse clipping but I guess the solution was to reverse clip the whole thing. Bless thee for sharing the awareness.
YOU HAVE SAVED MY SANITY AND MY LIFE OMFG
in the most respectful and platonic way i can say this, youre so fuckin hot for this
I've been struggling w this issue for like a week and right as i resigned to manually deforming the shadow behind the eyelashes, i gave it one last search, leading me here. I cannot thank you enough!
THIS IS WHAT I NEED!!. I understand the logic but it puzzle me how the first person found the logic for this
this is so funny, i was looking for something else regarding clipping so i was like "oh this wasn't what i needed" about halfway through. then as i went along, after solving my first issue, i was like, huh, why is this thing happening...... omg. this is what that video was talking about!! so i came back to finish hahahaha
Finally someone who had the same issue as me and was able to make a tutorial I needed soo much T^T
Thank You for making this video!!!
The most short and helpul tutorial on how clipping id works, thanks 😇
OMG THAMKS I already know how to rig but I was having a hard time with clipping!
This was so helpful thank you!
AHHHH TYSM THAT WAS SO HELPFUL!!!❤
OH MY GOD
That makes so much sense!!
this video saved me, thank you !!
fuaaa, exelente video, era justo lo que necesitaba muchas gracias
This is amazing! Thank you so much for this!
At first I didn't get what was a problem but it hit me recently with one of my model having more detailed irys
I've been struggling with this exact problem, but this still didn't solve it... at least not right away. Turns out it was my draw order. Make sure the draw order for the part that needs to be double clippped is not on a higher level than the sclera
My hero
this video was made a year ago but AAAAHAUGAU THANLK YOU
you're amazing
THANK YOU SO MUCH
This is super cool, but when I do this the sclera shadow appears over the iris q.q
How to connect the pupil to the iris
SUBBED TYSMM!!
I take note on this but some people use a invert masking on fac with the eye socked :,O or just make the white opart smaller
ooooh that's definitely smart too! I'll have to try that.
How do you do it where something like this doesn't happen again?
you help me ... thank you :D
Doesn't fix when the eyes shut
I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I L
