Hi Darth. While I can agree on most of your points, I feel that a lot of maps sucks simply because people have no idea how to play them properly. One example could be Operation Mortar where people flock around B flag which is practically a worthless flag as no hardware spawns there, while they ignore the flags that spawns LAVs and AA. Operation Metro also sucks because while it's possible to get through to A flag, you are left stranded there because people are too stupid to notice that you are on A when they spawn, so they spawn on the people at B where the action is. Basically people play Conquest like it's TDM. They just want more kills and don't bother about winning the game. Ok, so will you make a video of best/worst maps in Rush mode? Operation Metro might be shite in Conquest, but I like it in Rush. I hope the next Battlefield gets maps that are designed for Rush first and then made into conquest maps later, instead of the other way around. Maybe make a video of all the map errors that are FUCKING EVERYWHERE together with the never ending invisible walls and trees and whatnot that just suck up your bullets when you are shooting at the enemy..
I can’t quite agree with Operation Locker. I love the absolute chaos that happens in between C’s Hallways along with the flank you can take outside. Also that initial charge into point C is iconic for me
To me both Locker and Metro are like WWI in that both teams are trenched, sending explosions to one another, yet both teams make little to no progress. As a result, most rounds end in a long-lasting stalemate. That’s not the Battlefield experience. Strategy is hardly encouraged on either map. It’s rare that I see a team go far beyond the central flag on either map. Even though Locker has that outside flank, most players are going to be focused on one of the tubes. Most of the time I’m alone when I go for at outside flank. I’ll be lucky if my squad joins me. Even extra lucky if another squad does the same. Locker may be better than Metro, but better doesn’t make it good. The concept is still the same and it doesn’t work for Conquest mode. Maybe for Rush and other modes, but not Conquest. It feels more like Call of Duty where there is no actual strategy and everyone just a headless chicken. Hopefully DICE will never return to this map design ever again. DICE has made good infantry only maps before and I believe they can do it again. Pearl Market. Fort de Vaux. Grand Bazaar. All of them great infantry focused maps. Why? Player movement isn’t restricted in a tube. Good Battlefield maps, whether it’s infantry focused or vehicle focused, have always provided plenty of maneuverability.
I hate locker, I switched to battlefield because I wanted to avoid the absolute brainless, cheap garbage map design made for your brain to be on the cruise gear. If you like locker or metro you might as well just go play call of duty to suit your playing style. It's as of Dice took tips from a predatory casino Mafia on how to keep players hooked and addicted on the oversaturation of numbers, small lanes, and explosions. Battlefield is great because it's a game where a player can choose how he wants to approach a battle with a diverse set of attack styles. Locker gets rid of all that and forces you to play a dumb lottery game.
Zavod: Lights Out Edition is my least favorite map by far. Reasons for disliking it: It's almost always voted for and can you turn the damn lights back on, shit is annoying.
***** reason 1: when a commander is in the game he literally destroys all the covers and snipers are able to easily spot you. 2. There is always a player that takes the chopper and starts to farm kills. 3. There are always at least 3 guys who are either camping from the buildings of point C or the buildings next to point B
This video is two years old now but I completely agree. I've never seen a battlefield-related video that completely "clicked" with the opinions I didn't even know I had. Great job.
How dare you give my beloved Lancang Dam a fart sound effect! I do indeed "loooove" that map, but primarily for infantry play. I usually ignore Charlie completely because it's too much effort to cross the water for a single point, but I feel the other objectives each have a great layout, at least when the buildings are still standing. There's something about buildings connected by catwalks that I enjoy; perhaps it's being able to move around and secure an area largely free from sniper and helicopter fire. And when you hear a metal detector go off when you're defending Delta? Ooooh -- going on the hunt is fun stuff. BUT to each their own. Great gameplay in this video, too. The point at 8:10 where you kill an enemy Assault player and take his kit to revive your squadmate made me want to kiss you.
Metro is the worst BF map ever, and might be one of the worst maps I've played in any FPS. "Hey, let's put A LOT of players into one tiny corridor and make one team try to push a single stairwell". That went well.
You should do a video on a few map concepts youd like to see in future BF games. Personaly I would like to have a map which is basicly just a cave of A LOT of smaller and larger tunnels, and a few manmade tunnels and rooms. With walls that you can break trough similar to the locker middle corridoors, basicly flanking heaven yet id hope it could be made so that players would be spread out a lot and not camping one tiny corridoor. (Some corridoors would be crawling or crouching size only.) Another map id like to see is basicly 2-3 high buildings, maybe an apartment and office or something, where ever floor is playable and there are maybe 6 flags or something, 2 in each building. Maybe 10 floor high buildings? Or like 7-8.
I played a match of metro after a server restarted and it was only a like 6v6 and I realized how different BF4 can feel. it was HC so little hud and everyone was treating the game like a tactical shooter, I was scared of the open spaces because their wasn't any teamates with suppersing fire so the open was a deathtrap. I thought to myself "Holy shit this is really fun I didn't realize the map with less people changed the way I played entirely" until I saw that I stopped the constant rushing of Metro and was like "If their were more people I would be sprinting into the open because of all the suppresive fire" The map made me stop at corners and fear open spaces. It was like playing DayZ suddenly.
I think 24 player Metro is incredibly fun. I've only played 360 BF4 and while it's still a clusterfuck, it's actually possible to move around and flank and back cap. I play suppressed carbine recon with motion balls and the beacon and I've single handedly turned games around.
I like Rogue Transmission. I think it's quite large but not too big or open and accommodates tanks quite well, but it has enough cover (mainly from the radar dish) so your tank isn't being blasted by aircraft easily. Recon and assault class can both be effective as well, there's enough cover for the latter class near the capture points too.,
I wouldn't call it "worst" but Sunken Dragon is one of the most unbalanced. With one side's ability to drop troops on the A roof and cap the flag without the defenders actually being able to get up there, it's super easy for the Chinese side to win. You can have some good fights in the casino and the parking garage but in terms of winning, it's heavily slanted toward the CN side.
I overall dislike a lot of BF4 maps even though I still play the hell out of the game. I still blame Zh1nto for my problems with BF4. Also you activated M240B beast mode I noticed in your Metro2014 clip. -World famous quote circa 7:56am 14 Oct2013, "In 6 months #BF4 is going to be not only one of the biggest but THE biggest FPS Competitive game to play. #calledit #highrolling studio gotta go mom said its time for bed...
Its also impressive how DICE (LA?) could make metro even worse by adding water into one side of the base, making it impossible to revive But hey, its the same team that made CB worse by adding that dumb wall xD
Dragon pass is pretty cool on Rush in some occasions. Appreciate you making this video. I do feel that BF4 is one of the best multiplayer games ever made.
Locker's a shitshow with 64 players, but with 48 or less it can be really dynamic and fast paced. There's more flanking routes than Metro and not enough players to keep every lane on lockdown so you have a lot more action and a lot less shooting an LMG down a hallway for half an hour.
+Wiegraf768 To add to that, you can jump off the cliff aswell and use it as cover, on the outside, and jumping off the cliff can let you get some incredible backrages if you do it right
In regards to 64 player Metro, I find I’m just good enough to push and though I usually die, I tend to make just enough of an impact where the flood of teammates behind me is able to gain some momentum. Metro tends to end up having a cluster of all defenders at center and one of the side flank routes at each point. I find once I find out what side is heavy with defenders, the other side tends to only have a few that spam explosives or LMG fire. If you can sprint through without being blown up and create enough of a distraction, it can be the turning point of getting through. I’ve played a lot of metro and that feeling of “I single handedly made a difference when it mattered” happens quite a bit with these pushes. I don’t do it until I have good battle intelligence of where the largest parts of the defense are.
This video is the very reason why I don't want maps like OP Metro or the Block to ever come back to the Battlefield franchise. As much as grinding and stat-padding is fun, go do it on a server that allows it instead of playing on a map that makes it easy.
Lancang may be deeply flawed, but I've never failed to have fun on it. Granted, the levolution is largely pointless, the attack boats offer little and the jets and MAA should've been left out. Ok, the infantry play is limited. Still, it's like an ad-hoc BF4 tutorial: don't lose your gimme flag; don't extend vehicles too far past the push; helis need to get in and out fast; carrying a stinger is sometimes an option; you need to take out that guy with the stinger; you can meaningfully play all classes in a single round. I like seeing it in the rotation as it gets me switching up my kit. Caspian Border and Gulf of Oman, on the other hand, are joyless grinds, earnest boat/tank rides with little payoff. I'll get behind Metro as the worst map. At least, I think it's Metro -- there was a lot of smoke.
For three of your five "worst maps", you state that one of the biggest problems is the distance between objectives, which leads to infrequent engagements or clustering of effort (between D and F on Dragon Pass, for example). Besides the MAA criticisms (yes, the power and number of AA is annoying) I would argue that some people are drawn to this type of map. Because the ticket bleed is so slow on these large arenas, you can and should take a step back at various points throughout the round and re-evaluate your strategy. I find this aspect of the game very fun and rewarding. I'll use Dragon Pass as an example of tactics that don't always lead to close confrontations, but have strategy aspects that are fun for me: - You must prioritize keeping armor alive at D so that you can pin the enemy at their respective choke point (the bridge from the east, or the narrow road to the west leading to the bridge to C) - You must also protect E and B because these isolated checkpoints can easily be infiltrated by enemy recons. One squad, or at least a handful of people must put beacons around these points to ensure that any bleed can be quickly dealt with. The difficulty of backing up these objectives with support troops makes the recon class critical to the north side of the map. - A and G are two points that can be used to pull enemy troops off of central objectives like C/D/E/F. You must pay attention to these points like you do E and B, but don't pull half of the team onto these points just because they have started to bleed. That being said, I am glad you pointed me to the balancing numbers that were pulled together by that reddit user. The maps which have a very lopsided advantage for one team are in my opinion the objectively worst maps in the game. For the remaining maps, I think it just comes down to taste.
Maps are something that Battlefield 3 will always have all over Battlefield 4. There were some eventual standouts, but yeah -- the launch maps were nearly universally lopsided and unbalanced.
I really dislike Hainan Resort, there is a little wood next to one of the respawns, before A and B flag where a lot of members of the other team respawn on beacons and just rape the base or constantly take A and B respawning almost next to those flags.
My Top 5 Worst Maps: 1. Lancang Dam 2. Altai Range 3. Dragon Pass 4. Gulf of Oman 5. Rogue Transmission Definitely agree with most of the critiques on these maps you mention in this video. I'd put Operation Metro in the dishonorable mentions along with Locker, more so as "love/hate" maps, but at least Metro is more suited for 32 players & also can be enjoyable for players who like all-out chaotic close quarters action. Gulf of Oman is on my Top 5 Worst list because of the horrible imbalance that favors the Russian team, as well as the excessive vehicles, wide open terrain, and of course the sandstorm. Lancang Dam is my worst because there is just nothing enjoyable about it: awful map layout, excessive amount of vehicles, lame levolution, & just overall bad gameplay. Not surprised that it's the least played map in the entire game. Also one last thing: I'm surprised that Caspian Border made it on the dishonorable mentions, since it really is one of the most popular maps in the game (and a personal favorite of mine), but I definitely notice the imbalance now that you pointed it out in this video
I don't think you play Conquest Small enough. I'm on PS3, so we don't have Conquest Large, but i can still say that the differences and pacing between Conquest Small and Large are huge. Maps become totally different between those two.
I actually happen to prefer the clusterfuck maps like Metro and Locker, because i get bored easy of running 3 miles from point to point and i'm horrible in vehicles, so generally i end up spending 3/4 of my time running between points on any of the vehicle maps, plus i play alone so trying to hold an objective with most teams on xbone, is a shitshow in itself. But on the clusterfuck maps i can actually feel useful. I would personally place Dawnbreaker as no.1 because well who's dumbass idea was it to put like every air vehicle in a bloody city, in the dark.....
Totally agree on all these. I point out all these things to people and they just go on and on about how they are played so much, so I must be wrong. High play value doesn't equal a good balanced map. It's crazy. There are a number of ways to fix these maps too, but no, cant do it. It just takes cover and a few other routes. Thats it. Especially metro. You have an entire city above the subway! Use it!
Was playing as the Americans one time on Metro and of course we were getting our asses kicked, but at one point in the game my squad and i were able to push through the left flank, set up a squad beacon at Alpha and fuck up anyone who came our way. Of course we ended up getting overrun but we really changed the tide and ended up winning the game. Was the best feeling ever.
Noo not my Caspian 2014! BF blasphemy! ;) I guess Caspian doesn’t really favor the vehicle players that much (especially in air) but it doesn’t bother me as I hardly use vehicles on that map. Other than great list. Watch this vid DICE!
You can't argue with any map on that list though I don't think Lancang Damn deserves to be Worst 5, maybe just bottom half for me. I have a soft spot for Rogue Trans even though it is so imbalanced. Dragon Pass and Altai are obviously too big and I go ahead and through in Silk Road to complete the sh1t show that is the China Rising trifecta. Lockers, just like its Metro counterpart is for the pent-up teenagers. A shame too because Metro is actually a fun map on the PS3 when it is just 12 v12 and matchmaking is balanced. I think something that makes a map great is the more action there is away from flags or choke-points, the better it is. If you look at a maps like Altai or Dragon Pass nearly all of the action occurs on or very near a flag. Metro and Lockers, the action is always in the same usual doorways/ hallways. This can create repetitive gameplay as well as lulls as you travel between flags. The best maps are the ones were you can encounter an enemy almost anywhere on a map like Zavod or Siege of Shanghai. Of course, there are sever contributing factors that go into spreading the action across the map and trying to get those right as well as trying to make the map seem unique and innovative is obviously nontrivial. My dream is if they could merge Metro with Seine Crossing into one map so you have action occurring in the streets of Paris and then directly below those streets in the Metro. Maybe only use half of Seine Crossing and only the underground part of Metro. 2 flags on each end, and 2 in the middle (one above ground, and one below).
Kuzidas 42 I couldn't agree more with you about Rush on Langang Dam, but I think we are all talking pretty much Conquest exclusively with regards to the worst maps.
I think gulf of oman has too much vechiles but i like it. And i COMPLETELY disagree with you about metro, locker, and caspian border. I think silk road and golmud railway and shanghai should be on this list, since they are too open/have too much annoying vechiles
I've found ways to make that map work for me -- a lot of success relies on keeping yourself somewhat near to the pod launchers. It lets you play infantry pretty reliably on this map. I've had a lot of games with huge k/d ratios (4:1, 5:1) especially if I pick up the XD-1 regularly.
My opinion why Gulf of Oman sucks (spoiler: it ain't the sandstorm) ... 1) Almost no cover at the shoreline objectives. That means the US team may lose them very easily. 2) Attack boats. This type of vehicle may seem like it belongs here, but it is too weak. I would replace it with AMTRAC which may have just a tiny grenade launcher, but it is much more durable, can carry infantry, and is amphibious which means it can proceed further inland. 3) Vehicles at objectives. Most objectives provide some type of armored vehicle. That means a team gets access to its full arsenal of vehicles after specific objectives are captured. And the map-breaking problem occurs when one of the teams manages to capture all the objectives. At the moment, the team that controls all the objectives has incredible vehicle superiority, and the opposing team has nearly zero chances to change it. Therefore, the battle is decided (even if the losing team is Russian, because their base is separated from the rest of the map with one or two chokepoints, plus their planes start at the runway, being very favorite activity of the US snipers to snipe all the pilots that enter it). This map certainly needs more (undestructable) cover at the shoreline, and all, or at least, most vehicles should be available at team's base. At least we would get epic aphibious landing moments, having several vehicles rushing objectives at the coast and rolling further inland. If we take a look at another BF3 map - Noshahr Canals, it also has one team starting at water, but the map manages NOT TO SUCK. Why is that ? Maybe for the reasons I just described.
I like to play both operation locker and operation metro just for the fact that they are grindfests, even if they can be horrible to play it's fun to play them once in a while.
I like Locker and Metro because it gives a good refresh and a good rush sometimes. CQB is fun when you have been playing Altai Range and the huge maps all day...
I like Locker cause it has tight corners and it's good for completing some of the Zodiac missions that are currently going on as well as perfect for shotgun leveling
+Javier Rodriguez Completely agree about the levolution, atleast have the bloody roof collapse or something decent like that, maybe just fuck up the whole of C flag. Blow the narrow corridors apart and make them wider or something, that kind of levelution would of awesome
I agree with all of these. Never liked these top five worst maps but couldn't really explain why - you helped articulate what I always felt about these maps
Great video and analysis. IMO Gulf of Oman easily makes top five for me, if not top one. Horrific balance and sandstorm which ruins any vehicle and infantry play.
Oman has a classic Battlefield problem where, because vehicles spawn at flags, if one team gets a steamroll going it is nearly impossible to stop. Newer Battlefields since BF1 don't do this as much because of this problem.
I Love Metro but hate Conquest Large on Metro. Usually I play with Conquest Small on Metro. I agree with your opinion that it can get chaotic on Metro.
I like Metro 2014 because I can get new weapons by getting more weapon kills. I also like it because it is kind of like cod ghosts with no vehicles and a large map. My only complaint with it is that it needs more flanking routes. I also play on conquest small all the time if I play conquest because I play this game on a last gen console. I just wish there could be a 16v16 conquest supported on last gen consoles.

Leon O'Grian but a map that is dedicated to vehicles only is more bad. i counted 3 infantry maps, 2 sucks and i only like 1 which is good as backed by data.
A lot of these maps are just objectively better as regular conquest with 32 players. Also metro flowed a whole lot better on console than PC in bf3 because of it's 24 player size. Also how was flood zone not on this? I feel like Flood zone is WAY worse than caspian.
Metro and Locker are fun AF to play with if you have a good team, The thing with locker is that, it is to tight and narrow, its to easy to lock down a team at c flag and just hold it for the rest of the game and win, i love gun play but locker is a cluster fuck
But, but..... gulf of oman is my favorite map ;( and my favorite part is when the sandstorm hits, because snipers/sniper tanks are nulled..... plus, its one of the only few maps(which arent clusterfucks) to have a close quarter city.
What makes these map bad are the number of players on the map at any given time. TDM, Squad Team Death, and Domination maps are best played with 32 players. 64 players are for large maps don't play maps that are meant for CQB with 64 players, it's a real mess.
Yes but everything else about lancain sucks. Altai also has a great tdm or domination map. Rouge transmission is decent in rush, it's that maps only saving grace.
I completely agree (maybe apart from Whiteout, since it is great for vehicles, and the B->C pair is great for infantry), but for me the map that I Alt+F4 on sight is Lumphini Garden. The battlefield is too open for an infantry-only map, making it a sniper paradise.
Ripp_Lyg I agree with you man. Flood Zone is good for TDM (actually one of my favorite maps for TDM) but sucks ass when it comes to Conquest. I can't talk about the other modes on this particular map though, because I haven't tried them.
Maps like lancang, Caspian, Dragon pass, really could use the transport Heli.
Agree totally.

I like locker because it's a nice change of pace compared to all the other maps or at least the free maps bc I'm poor
You have to consider the fact that OP Locker was designed with 64 players in mind while Metro is meant to be played with 36 to 48 players.
1. Lancang Dam - AA has pretty much line of sight to spawn of choppers.
2. Altai Range
3. Hainan Resort
4. Dragon Pass - they couldn't even patch the trees to fall when hit by tanks?
5. Metro

I find it strange that the sandstorm on Oman comes from the sea
I think the implication was that it was blowing in from Iran. Which apparently does happen.
Why not flood zone
+Quinn the 13 year old flood zone sucks
***** reason 1: when a commander is in the game he literally destroys all the covers and snipers are able to easily spot you.
2. There is always a player that takes the chopper and starts to farm kills.
3. There are always at least 3 guys who are either camping from the buildings of point C or the buildings next to point B
And also the guys who from the top of the buildings next to point C start to throw random C4 and blow them so we can't capture the point
+Quinn the 13 year old and that's why I hate flood zone
+Quinn the 13 year old u on psn ?
omg caspian border is one of the best maps
Yeah
This video is two years old now but I completely agree. I've never seen a battlefield-related video that completely "clicked" with the opinions I didn't even know I had. Great job.
I like Langcam Dam. Spawn as engineer, jeep to enemy's road, lay down a heck-ton of mines. Wait 1 minute and profit when their LAV/tanks get blown up.
Lancang Dam *fart noise*
(Some corridoors would be crawling or crouching size only.)
Another map id like to see is basicly 2-3 high buildings, maybe an apartment and office or something, where ever floor is playable and there are maybe 6 flags or something, 2 in each building. Maybe 10 floor high buildings? Or like 7-8.
Those are pretty interesting especially the building one
Metro 12v12 is epic . But 32 and 64 is fucking stupid
Whenever I want a lazy easy win, i join metro as RU and nade spam the fuck outta the blocked escalators
Haha me too
I like Rogue Transmission. I think it's quite large but not too big or open and accommodates tanks quite well, but it has enough cover (mainly from the radar dish) so your tank isn't being blasted by aircraft easily. Recon and assault class can both be effective as well, there's enough cover for the latter class near the capture points too.,
The tilted fun house on sunken dragon is pretty bad. I played 2 rounds of it( 1 to complete an assignment). Never again
Yea that map sucks I never know where I’m supposed to go or where the action is
I wouldn't call it "worst" but Sunken Dragon is one of the most unbalanced. With one side's ability to drop troops on the A roof and cap the flag without the defenders actually being able to get up there, it's super easy for the Chinese side to win. You can have some good fights in the casino and the parking garage but in terms of winning, it's heavily slanted toward the CN side.
I would call it one of the worst sunken dragon is trash theres basically no destruction and its a complete sniper fest
Lilliput Garden is horrendous and too quirky.
I definitely agree about Operation Locker. But only if the maps is played with 64players. At 32 players, Locker becomes a lot more enjoyable.
Locker and Metro are both far more enjoyable at 32 players.
Locker is so slow at 32 players.
#calledit #highrolling studio
gotta go mom said its time for bed...
Worst maps?
There are so many xD
Dam
Floodzone
Metro
Lockers
etc etc
I actually like Dragon pass
+DANNYonPC So Dam many.
Its also impressive how DICE (LA?) could make metro even worse by adding water into one side of the base, making it impossible to revive
But hey, its the same team that made CB worse by adding that dumb wall xD
+darthveda So dam punny
U know floodzone can be a lot of fun if there isn't a KSA200ping100,000littlebird kills lvl140 clan online
But there is always a possibility to flank on locker
metro and locker are just frag round fest for me. great video dude, totally agree with ya
I agree with this list. but I love second assault, and levels like locker and metro are there for us if we dont wanna think and just kill
Dragon pass is pretty cool on Rush in some occasions.
Appreciate you making this video. I do feel that BF4 is one of the best multiplayer games ever made.
0:38 lmao XD
Totally agree about Grand Bazar and Crossing Sienna
Locker's a shitshow with 64 players, but with 48 or less it can be really dynamic and fast paced. There's more flanking routes than Metro and not enough players to keep every lane on lockdown so you have a lot more action and a lot less shooting an LMG down a hallway for half an hour.
+Wiegraf768 To add to that, you can jump off the cliff aswell and use it as cover, on the outside, and jumping off the cliff can let you get some incredible backrages if you do it right
i honestly like the layout of caspian border. it allows for more tactical gameplay and flanking around the center flag works well
In regards to 64 player Metro, I find I’m just good enough to push and though I usually die, I tend to make just enough of an impact where the flood of teammates behind me is able to gain some momentum.
Still slugging it out in metro in 2024, there is nothing else like it. that stalemate push is so enjoyable.
Lancam dam would be so much cooler if there was an actually torrent of water when the dam broke
Yeah, it’s kind of anti climactic
For three of your five "worst maps", you state that one of the biggest problems is the distance between objectives, which leads to infrequent engagements or clustering of effort (between D and F on Dragon Pass, for example). Besides the MAA criticisms (yes, the power and number of AA is annoying) I would argue that some people are drawn to this type of map. Because the ticket bleed is so slow on these large arenas, you can and should take a step back at various points throughout the round and re-evaluate your strategy. I find this aspect of the game very fun and rewarding.
I'll use Dragon Pass as an example of tactics that don't always lead to close confrontations, but have strategy aspects that are fun for me:
- You must prioritize keeping armor alive at D so that you can pin the enemy at their respective choke point (the bridge from the east, or the narrow road to the west leading to the bridge to C)
- You must also protect E and B because these isolated checkpoints can easily be infiltrated by enemy recons.
For the remaining maps, I think it just comes down to taste.
just commenting to say that I fucking love Dominion
Well 8 years later but beeing back with BF4 recently..
1. Altai Range
2. Operation Mortar
3. Langcam Dam
4. Paracl Storm
5. Rogue Transmission
BF4 Vanilla maps were TRASH BF1 blew BF4 outta the water in this dept
Maps are something that Battlefield 3 will always have all over Battlefield 4. There were some eventual standouts, but yeah -- the launch maps were nearly universally lopsided and unbalanced.
Why tf operetion locker
because it is metro with a flanking route
I really dislike Hainan Resort, there is a little wood next to one of the respawns, before A and B flag where a lot of members of the other team respawn on beacons and just rape the base or constantly take A and B respawning almost next to those flags.
My Top 5 Worst Maps:
1. Lancang Dam
2. Altai Range
3. Dragon Pass
4. Gulf of Oman
5. Rogue Transmission
Definitely agree with most of the critiques on these maps you mention in this video.
Before you get to number one, I am just going to call either Operation Whiteout or Hanger 21.
Dude how can you not mention Silk Road. A map that has almost no cower at all! :D
0:37 how I'm tryna slide in my crush dms
Subbed and liked! Love your videos!
It's Simple : I LOVE BF4 and there is no map that make me quit a server, I just want to play the damn thing ! :)
I can't belive I agreed on every single map... I'm with you on the sien crossing and grand bazaar tho!
Use it!
Worst map is Flood zone no doubt. A close second would be Golmud or Rogue Transmission
0:36 what the heck happened to that atv???
caspian border is awful, why are 75% of the points on one side of the wall.
never liked it in bf3, but in bf4 it's just the epitome of the pile of crap that it actually is.
but i mean... i guess it is (barely) decent on rush?
I'm surprised Lumpy Garden didn't make the cut. Excellent video though!
+Kfm946 I actually don't mind lumps so much.
Honestly the only reason I played Metro and Lockers is because I personally preferred infantry gameplay over vehicles.
Metro is my favorite map...
But I have to admit that I haven't played Metro with 64 Slots yet.
I loved altai range, sad I can never find a match for it
I found it weird to have Rogue Transmission in this list since it's one of my favorite maps. Good video though
Grand Bazaar was amazing from BF3
how did floodzone not make this list?
+Hey 6045 I have a soft spot for floodzone ^_^
+darthveda Just like i have a soft spot for Caspian Border. I like to destroy the wall and pretend its not there! 😁
+darthveda me too, I really did like the levolution and its infintry combat
The main problem with Flood zone are the players, not the map. Too many pedophiles camping on roofs doing nothing useful.
if we want to fix flood zone, we need to remove the heli, or find a server that doesnt allow players to go to those rooftops
Noo not my Caspian 2014! BF blasphemy! ;)
I guess Caspian doesn’t really favor the vehicle players that much (especially in air)
but it doesn’t bother me as I hardly use vehicles on that map. Other than great list. Watch this vid DICE!
I'm wierd but I actually like the dam map even worse It looks like I actually like almost all of these maps i enjoyed most bf4 maps in general
I know this may be slightly irrelevant. I agree with your theory on what makes a good map. But I must exclaim how much Lancang Dam Rush sucks.
Kuzidas 42 I couldn't agree more with you about Rush on Langang Dam, but I think we are all talking pretty much Conquest exclusively with regards to the worst maps.
Robenter I know conquest is always the main concern. I just throw in my two cents in the hopes that the voice of Rush is not forgotten!
I think gulf of oman has too much vechiles but i like it. And i COMPLETELY disagree with you about metro, locker, and caspian border. I think silk road and golmud railway and shanghai should be on this list, since they are too open/have too much annoying vechiles
The worst map is hanger 21 for me it’s so bad
Are the 2014 maps dlc?
Yes. Second Assault.
I like Locker cause it has tight corners and it's good for completing some of the Zodiac missions that are currently going on as well as perfect for shotgun leveling
can't say the same for it's "epic" levelution
+Javier Rodriguez Completely agree about the levolution, atleast have the bloody roof collapse or something decent like that, maybe just fuck up the whole of C flag. Blow the narrow corridors apart and make them wider or something, that kind of levelution would of awesome
The block always ends with one team being spawn trapped.
32 Vs 32 Metro is the perfect balance of player population
I actually like altai and Dragon pass
ruclips.net/video/PEZWYXPvmS8/видео.html
+darthveda He's a sniper on rush
Also i like DP
wait...
uhm..
+DANNYonPC rush is love rush is life
+NoVa Shaduga The ultimate mode for easy sniper clips
+DANNYonPC that's tdm
Firestorm is the worst for me. All the others are just fine in my book.
Tbh lancing dam is meant for rush and conquest large and I like it
I Love Metro but hate Conquest Large on Metro.

I wish they brought in Kubra Dam instead of Oman for Second Assault.
I wish both
any map that has no vehicles or is built around needing vehicles is my most hated.
Leon O'Grian but a map that is dedicated to vehicles only is more bad. i counted 3 infantry maps, 2 sucks and i only like 1 which is good as backed by data.
The 2142 precursor maps are all bad
A lot of these maps are just objectively better as regular conquest with 32 players. Also metro flowed a whole lot better on console than PC in bf3 because of it's 24 player size. Also how was flood zone not on this? I feel like Flood zone is WAY worse than caspian.
Exmerion players are bad, not the map itself
Metro and Locker are fun AF to play with if you have a good team, The thing with locker is that, it is to tight and narrow, its to easy to lock down a team at c flag and just hold it for the rest of the game and win, i love gun play but locker is a cluster fuck
But, but..... gulf of oman is my favorite map ;(
and my favorite part is when the sandstorm hits, because snipers/sniper tanks are nulled.....
plus, its one of the only few maps(which arent clusterfucks) to have a close quarter city.
What makes these map bad are the number of players on the map at any given time. TDM, Squad Team Death, and Domination maps are best played with 32 players. 64 players are for large maps don't play maps that are meant for CQB with 64 players, it's a real mess.
grand bazaar was my main infantry battle map.
wish they would've brang that one back. and brought atacama desert from bad company 2
Rogue transmission needs to be higher on the list, Lancang has 1 good area: the buildings in the top right corner (TDM).
+Elvijs Jaunzems Somebody mentioned recently that destroying the wall would make it much better, and I tend to agree. Oh well.
My number 1 is Flood Zone :D
First map i ever played on :D
Ripp_Lyg I agree with you man. Flood Zone is good for TDM (actually one of my favorite maps for TDM) but sucks ass when it comes to Conquest. I can't talk about the other modes on this particular map though, because I haven't tried them.
