Nice work! I hope this video does numbers. It’s a shame that the customer has to do all this sculpting and drilling when Hasbro could just engineer the figures better in the first place.
Bro you just saved my Ben Reilly. I was literally about to just heat him up and try popping off the upper chest. As a sign of appreciation I'm using my engagement to let you know I subscribed.
Noice mods! Thought I was the only one doing these mods lol good to know others are too. Can't stand how hasbro limits their figures, they have soo much potential.
Thank you man this video is going to help me a lot because I have been looking up how to take that body apart and I couldn't find any videos on it I'm trying to make a custom Superior Spider Man out of a kid omega body witch is the same body as fantasy spider man and I need to prep the body for painting.
I did all the mods for my figure, but I swapped the shoulders for the renew your vows spidey’s shoulders instead. Yes I had to color the blue part of the shoulders black. I also swapped his feet for the renew your vows spidey feet that have the toe joint. Now my figure is fantastic, a lot more posable too.
I've just did this mod to my spider man and i weny great, it was my first time and everything went well, im very glad i did this cayse it gives me more confidence to mod, thank you so much for the mod ideas!
So crazy that you asked. I just finished a similar custom and posted bout it on my insta. I have a video explaining the changes I made, I'll be posting it soon.
A lego ball joint and some drilling should do the thing, a guy made a custom ml 2099 with lego joints in order to replicate the shf style (I think his name is d.i.p production) he showed the process on his insta
DUUUUUDE, can you do this crack the torso stuff video with a normal legends figure? I so need to change an upper torso with something else and only way is dojng this process.
Water is very controlled and will be hard to ruin your figure. While a hair dryer aplys a lot of heat and is easy to melt you figure. Though a hair dryer is faster.
I got the Amazing Fantasy 15 Spidey when it was new and I love it to pieces... however the left bicep snapped so I had to flix it using the screw method. Worked flawlessly but now I can't mod the shoulder because the heat would melt the glue
@@McToyReviewer69 Yeah, I can see the video just fine here, but that does happen to me occasionally on my phone on random videos, probably what happened for you

I did this mod to my custom nightcrawler figure. Its amazing now. Think I need to buy secret wars Spider-Man.

Do the new shoulders hinder articulation at all?
@@legospider1437 no they dont
@@Daywalker1233 Awesome. I might just have to try that. Thanks.
@@legospider1437 no problem
I may have to do this to my Symbiote Spider-Man, as he'd be even easier, since no paint to touch up. lol

Anyone know or have any tutorials on how to give mafex/sh figuarts articulation to the marvel legends across the spider verse 2099 figure?

@@McToyReviewer69 it’s alr I’m getting mafex 185 spidey
Definitely do not try that on mafex if it's your first time! Lol @@Octobersbullcrap

Just wondering why you called the micron pen a sharpie?
Cuz it's a sharpie
@@McToyReviewer69 you used a micron, those are manufactured by Sakura, they are not associated with Sharpie brand.

Nice mod!
Awesome!
What if uou used the drop down leg joint from the retro spidey and put it on that fig?
that's way more of a task! At that point you essentially have to remake the pelvis

Is there a difference between hot water vs heatgun/hair dryer? Im just worried that the water might wash or ruin the paint, is that possible?
Water is very controlled and will be hard to ruin your figure. While a hair dryer aplys a lot of heat and is easy to melt you figure. Though a hair dryer is faster.
@McToyReviewer69 Oh ok thank you for the info, love the tutorial btw it was very helpful! Just started dipping my toes into customizing
I forgot to ask, will this mod also work with the new black widow figure?
Check my Instagram, it's linked on my page. I did this to her before this spiderman
So, this process can also be done with the TASM spidey from nwh?
I'm sure it can. I'm gonna try it and made a video when I get mine
Thanks i've been wondering if the process was the same
Imma sub just to know

I don't think it'll melt. That's never happened to me. But you could also use hot water
@McToyReviewer69 well, I was worried because I use loctite superglue and that stuff is temperature sensitive
is your AF spidey Walmart exclusive version ?
@@bgksm7201 no, original release
Can you separate the upper torso by the abdomen without cracking?
There's not. You'll have to crack it. Because the lower torso cages the ball joint from the upper torso
how do you get the shoulders out of torso?
Crack the torso. You could just heat it and pop them out, but if tou do that at the butter fly you can't put it back in without cracking
Would this mods also work on the RYV buck?
If it's got a diafram joint, then yes
Hey i don't know if its me or something but I can't pop the arm out my figure
It's difficult for sure. I use a number of tools to shimmy it out. Try and see if you cant find a tutorial out there
I suggest putting in hot (not boiling) water, then use a pry tool (flat head) and go under the shoulder joint and press up, should pop right out.
Bro I don’t know if you know but the whole video is black screen idk if it’s just me
I wanna guess it's you, cuz I can see the video just fine on my personal. I'll test with some friends tho. Thanks for the heads up
