Not all applications are optimised for every Android phone whereas all third party apps take all the services available in iPhone because they are less and few.

The price gap between iPhones and Android phones are no more a deciding factor. Every person has a budget and decides what phone does he/she wants. Specially in a time where we have No Cost EMI. An iPhone starts with 50k price point during sales and goes upto 1.5 lacs. Same with Samsung during launch. Ultra is 1.25 Lac. iPhones were not at all value for money back in 2013 when iPhone 5s was 60k and best Android phone was S3 which was 33k. Price is not a deciding factor anymore. Both are costly.

Both battery technology can be charged faster both of them shares the same charging algorithm. Well Apple has been making their A series processors for a very long time. They have mastered the technology behind integrating a powerful CPU and GPU at the same Chip and still manage to be more stable and cool than other processors. But snapdragon and mediatek announced their top tier processes just a few years ago so the fact that they managed to catch up with Apple's performance in such a short period of time is insane. You really cant compare Apple iOS and Google Android, the software at core is totally coded on different platforms. Another thing which the Apple guys like to say is that the iPhone lasts long and apps are well optimised are correct but when you think of it, the devices that apple has to take into consideration while launching updates and apps are like bot even 1% of what Android has to lookout for. Another part that comes to Apple's favour is the hardware and software being their own, they dont rely on 3rd party chip companies or any software company which gives them the whole control of the device. Android on the other hand is way to different from its core, open source and works with any hardware. As long as Google really does not set some sort of requirements or locks the OS behind some paywall, Android would be harder to program, code and run for many developers. But still many companies are trying to make their older devices last longer compared to the older generations of Android flagships. So here we go, I'll summarise the whole argument in 3-4 lines. Apple - Reliable, Fast, Lasts long, Restrictive. Android - Free, Complete control, (reliable as well), buggy (some times)

As long as you can do basic tasks in your day to day life i don't think optimization is that much of a problem. I am using a cheap android and even though its support period has ended I never encountered an optimization problem (plus there are open source projects for my device which will expand my phone's life and they are the example of unstable or non optimised OS)

One very important thing every such comparisons misses is newer Android chips always takes a couple months to fully opimise the performance with an update, this update always significantly improve ls consistent performance, keep this in mind
not only processor give you better score , software + hardware optimization also does the job really well ( as the apple ram managment ) if iqoo does their software optimization really well then it will be so much better phone than the other and from the looks of 8 gen 3 i will say android is getting better and better in performance ( like if the apple is 20/20 than the android is about 18/20 ) not much difference in real life
You cannot compare battery % drain. draining from 91 to 90% is very different from 11 to 10%. this is because battery % is measured with voltage graphs, based on mah remaining. and well mah is milliampere, not actual power, which is voltage times power. This may sound complex, BUT it is quite important for reviewing products "technically". The methods of testing phones in techwiser if FLAWED, and here are all the reasons why, and how they can be made not flawed. The higher the battery is charged, the higher the voltage. (it is not a slope/ stright line graph). So draining the first 44% is like draining the last 50%. beaware in your tests, as they are not very accurate in battery drain metrics. also for temperature measurement, use an ideal condition. The battery capacities, RAM, extra chips, battery controllers are different on all the phones with different efficiencies, so measuring battery drain for some task is the least accurate way of measuring. phone in hand is much different than phone on table. Mobile phones can only do so much with good "cooling solution". The main limiter is the surface area and the conduction to air. A phone which runs good at the start and throttles afterwards may be optimised to stay cool as it traps in heat (releases it slowly) hence runs quick in the first runs and slower in the end. it is better than instant dissapation accross the phone's surface (best long term performance) for normal usage as it will improve the in hand feel temperature-wise, as most users wont use the phone heavily continuously, and the heavy gamers are quite a niche in smartphone users, and wont pick the phone the rich joe does. The "ideal" test strategy- measure watts consumed by the mobile phone, on idle, some usage and benchmarks. Make graphs for performace on tests with different power limits. For the phone's performance, use a temperature controlled non-ventillated chamber, and an intensive test on it for more than an hour (2 preferrabely). The wattage being drawn at the end of the 2 hour period by the phone is the heat dissapation capacity at the phone's limit temperature. set that limit to 45C using software (needs root) (so a 20C delta), and you will get to know the results of consistient performance. Also repeat the test with the phone plugged in and already charged to 100%. another time with the phone plugged in and charged to 5% and you will get all the graphs to analyse phone's performance in different scenarios. geekerwan uses the same tech for their performance reviews of chipsets. Now chipsets have different bin quality and so on, but that can be ignored with testing of more than 1 product. Thats all for the techniques. I wish to know when will all/ any of this be used as a reviewing method. If it is not very soon, then please make a big disclaimer before the video that the tests may not be accurate at all, or at least try to have the same exact battery % at the start of the test (non 100 for chemical reasons (different voltages), 60-70% would be good) on all the phones. Also keep all the phones away from each other, to make it fair for the phones in the middle. I hope to see at LEAST the last 2 points taken care of next video onwards. -critical TW enjoyer.
For me to get back to iOS, apple needs to work on these two things 1. Fix the notifications. It's a mess and has no organisation what so ever. It's high time apple adds notification categories like how Android did years back and it helps keep notifications clean. 2. Allow background apps to run properly for backup. There is no reason for me to keep an app Google photos open with the screen on for the backup to complete. Keeping the app open for such things is ridiculous. This is why the iPadOS(which shares all the features with iOS) is never really a laptop replacement.
Android needs to change or the customisations of filesystem for more possibility. Especially in camera apps . If we plan for entire software for some things i like to have more control to it .

Sad but truth.. probably waiting for Qualcomm to actually using this new architecture then those developers began to optimized their software for it..but don't know man..in 2025 i heard that Qualcomm make move into a different approach that is using fully customized SoC like Apple Bionic chips..with their own custom Oryon CPU instead of standard Arm design..so developers probably will wait for that and just focus making a software optimization for the new SoC instead of the D9300..some sure will develop for D9300 but maybe it will take a while..

Well Apple has been making their A series processors for a very long time. They have mastered the technology behind integrating a powerful CPU and GPU at the same Chip and still manage to be more stable and cool than other processors.
But snapdragon and mediatek announced their top tier processes just a few years ago so the fact that they managed to catch up with Apple's performance in such a short period of time is insane.
The main reason behind this was that Android phones for a long time were considered as cheap alternatives for iphones. Only just a few years back did we realise that an Android flagship can exist simultaneously with an apple iphone.
One major difference is OS also. Apple has iOS so , Apple has huge benefit in optimization of Apps.😃

You really cant compare Apple iOS and Google Android, the software at core is totally coded on different platforms.
Another thing which the Apple guys like to say is that the iPhone lasts long and apps are well optimised are correct but when you think of it, the devices that apple has to take into consideration while launching updates and apps are like bot even 1% of what Android has to lookout for. Another part that comes to Apple's favour is the hardware and software being their own, they dont rely on 3rd party chip companies or any software company which gives them the whole control of the device.
Android on the other hand is way to different from its core, open source and works with any hardware. As long as Google really does not set some sort of requirements or locks the OS behind some paywall, Android would be harder to program, code and run for many developers. But still many companies are trying to make their older devices last longer compared to the older generations of Android flagships.
So here we go, I'll summarise the whole argument in 3-4 lines.
Apple - Reliable, Fast, Lasts long, Restrictive.
Android - Free, Complete control, (reliable as well), buggy (some times)

If they work on some areas like chipset (nobody like tensor chipset) , good charging speed and battery backup, optimisation , heating issues etc. they are designing their phones in a unique way and its better than iphone. As long as you can do basic tasks in your day to day life i don't think optimization is that much of a problem. I am using a cheap android and even though its support period has ended I never encountered an optimization problem (plus there are open source projects for my device which will expand my phone's life and they are the example of unstable or non optimised OS)

You cannot compare battery % drain. draining from 91 to 90% is very different from 11 to 10%. this is because battery % is measured with voltage graphs, based on mah remaining. and well mah is milliampere, not actual power, which is voltage times power.
This may sound complex, BUT it is quite important for reviewing products "technically". The methods of testing phones in techwiser if FLAWED, and here are all the reasons why, and how they can be made not flawed.
The higher the battery is charged, the higher the voltage. (it is not a slope/ stright line graph). So draining the first 44% is like draining the last 50%. beaware in your tests, as they are not very accurate in battery drain metrics. also for temperature measurement, use an ideal condition. The battery capacities, RAM, extra chips, battery controllers are different on all the phones with different efficiencies, so measuring battery drain for some task is the least accurate way of measuring.
phone in hand is much different than phone on table. Mobile phones can only do so much with good "cooling solution".
The main limiter is the surface area and the conduction to air.
A phone which runs good at the start and throttles afterwards may be optimised to stay cool as it traps in heat (releases it slowly) hence runs quick in the first runs and slower in the end. it is better than instant dissapation accross the phone's surface (best long term performance) for normal usage as it will improve the in hand feel temperature-wise, as most users wont use the phone heavily continuously, and the heavy gamers are quite a niche in smartphone users, and wont pick the phone the rich joe does.
The "ideal" test strategy- measure watts consumed by the mobile phone, on idle, some usage and benchmarks. Make graphs for performace on tests with different power limits.
For the phone's performance, use a temperature controlled non-ventillated chamber, and an intensive test on it for more than an hour (2 preferrabely). The wattage being drawn at the end of the 2 hour period by the phone is the heat dissapation capacity at the phone's limit temperature. set that limit to 45C using software (needs root) (so a 20C delta), and you will get to know the results of consistient performance.
Also repeat the test with the phone plugged in and already charged to 100%. another time with the phone plugged in and charged to 5% and you will get all the graphs to analyse phone's performance in different scenarios.
geekerwan uses the same tech for their performance reviews of chipsets. Now chipsets have different bin quality and so on, but that can be ignored with testing of more than 1 product.
Thats all for the techniques. I wish to know when will all/ any of this be used as a reviewing method. If it is not very soon, then please make a big disclaimer before the video that the tests may not be accurate at all, or at least try to have the same exact battery % at the start of the test (non 100 for chemical reasons (different voltages), 60-70% would be good) on all the phones. Also keep all the phones away from each other, to make it fair for the phones in the middle.

For me to get back to iOS, apple needs to work on these two things
1. Fix the notifications. It's a mess and has no organisation what so ever. It's high time apple adds notification categories like how Android did years back and it helps keep notifications clean.
2. Allow background apps to run properly for backup. There is no reason for me to keep an app Google photos open with the screen on for the backup to complete. Keeping the app open for such things is ridiculous. This is why the iPadOS(which shares all the features with iOS) is never really a laptop replacement.
