Jacob Carlson bro thank you for your presence on this session I really appreciate this video. You tell your boy he’s making some fans that will never leave him!
Bro you actually sound unique and different. Honestly I’ve never wanted someone to get the fame and recognition as much as you should. Keep it up your time will come.
appreciate y’all for real man. much more on the way. please preorder the album if you believe. let’s show the world: sameplate.lnk.to/funhousemirrorpreorder
It's crazy how he used dribbling as a metaphor for overthinking and self-doubt. Instead of shooting (his shot), he dribbles instead. His rhyme scheme to end the first verse is crazy. My favorite part of the song is the "shooter's shooting, I can't only dribble now"... "I've been living rental style, I think it's time to own me/" because it shows he finally figured out that he's holding himself back. He was transcending. You don't just write that without believing and feeling it. I think that resonates with a lot of artists... Self-critique eats away at a lot of people that would make it if they got out of their own way. I wonder if Marlon is upset that it took him this long to pursue his dreams or if he feels like he was right on time. Best rap song I've heard in a while. I got the same feeling when I heard War by King Los or Sing About Me by Kendrick for the first time. I really appreciate the attention to detail and effort Craft puts in his music. Playlist material for sure.
@@fangent4781 I'm not psychic, but I am a Bassist. Dude flubbed a note slightly, and looked at his drummer, because that's the only other person in the room who'd know if you didn't play your part %100.
Mannnn. As a mid 30's guy who grew up listening to Hip Hop that told stories.. that made me think about things, this is IT. Thank you for not only this song, but the strength to put yourself out there. Much love and respect.
It’s crazy to me that gang shit has like 350k and this amazingly crafted, goat level vibe status jam has only 30k. Don’t get me wrong, gang shit is incredibly thought provoking and special as well. But damn man this vibe right here is something other worldly. Not many people possess this level of talent and soul. Endless props to you Marlon. Your work NEVER disappoints. 💯
Straight ART!! Got that original NY style with a twist that's Original As F***!! So excited for this new album Funhouse Mirror!! The name even got layers. CRAFT!!
No one going to say shit about the vocals of the woman on the hook through the track just killing it..The Sax too...Marlon Craft I've been listening for a couple years....I'm a kid from South Africa and imma make sure my block and my country listens to you
You on point Marlon!! Also..... Diggin the very talented band behind that crisp n funky sound =) Keep up the great work "M.C" you are an inspiration bro!! Much luv from Australia/New Zealand
Something about this live recording brings it to life just a bit more than the album version, I love it when you can tell hes getting in his zone and gets louder. Thats that soul and passion! The album version is good too, but this version is raw!
Bro im crying! might be cuz im drunk but this production is insane you care more about your music then all these "popular artist's" combined! u clearly care so much and i cant wait to see u in an arena!
It was an honor to be in the room for this. Can't wait for the album 🙏
I believe it, that's some nasty sax work though too my man! 🔥!

Love music done this way. All in the same room...true art form
in 3 minutes he goes from calmly story telling, to drawing the energy from every person in the room delivering heat. Passion.
one mic, yup
This comment got me hype for this now lol
This is my favorite style of rap. Rapping with a live band is just amazing.
bro search for the band "militantes del climax" they are from argentina very underground
Smino performs witha live band.. At least he did in Philly. I was pleasantly surprised
@@Lothar526 checked them out, nice recommendation. Love the sound but spanish vocals are always hard, hate it when i dont understand lyrics.
suggestion: Watsky performing "Energy" live
Sonreal performing "Try" Live
you wont regret it
actual skill involved. i remember seeing yassin bey, just rapping over his own full track, the worst shit i've ever paid to see live.
“Theres a lot riding on my like porzingis knees” still hit different in 2024

They already knew bruh, its the fact that they all be rocking and having fun
I can't read their minds but all I know is they seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. energy like this is contagious

"Yeah fo sho"
"He's slaying the mic"
