Great camp mate. I know this area well. There's a few crash sites up that way I believe, but this is the most well known I believe. Great area very interesting and remote /quiet. When I went up there we heard voices and a radio and have read of others experiencing similar. Doesn't sound like you had anything strange happen on this occasion anyway. Annoying that those people left their rubbish behind. Gives the rest of us a bad rep. Good on ya for picking it up for them. Atb mate 👍
Sorry I missed the Premiere! Great camp! Thank you for the backstory. We have a crashed plane here in CT near where I live on top of a mountain. It definitely connects you more to the story. Great sunset and sunrise too! Thanks for completing the challenge!
Really enjoyable video mate, you have a great presentation style. Your research was decent snd also respectful.well done and big up for the " bumberclatt '".
Is that the B17 "Mi Amigos" site? Those boys gave their lives so as to protect a group of people they'd never meet this side of heaven. Pilot John Kreigshauser, Co-pilot: Lyle Curtis, Navigator: John Humphrey, Bombardier: Melchor Hernandez, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Harry Estabrooks, Radio Operator: Bob Mayfield, Ball turret gunner: Chas Tuttle, Waist gunner: Malcolm Williams, Waist gunner: Vito Ambrosio, Tail gunner: Maurice Robbins.
It's amazing how much is still left out there after so many years. I was surprised how far the debris got scattered. I wonder if the bodies were recovered or if they just burned to nothing and their remains are just in the ground there.
9:56 I think lots of bits of the aircraft have been stolen over many years as souvenirs. Good video Tom! Can't believe your friend travelled across the Peaks in a jumper and only a jumper! 😮😬🫡
@Tominthetent The Peaks ain't no playground. Especially if a storm or freeze comes unexpectedly season depending of course. It doesn't have to be freezing to cause hypothermia and the contrary heat stroke...... 🫡
Cracking camp, Tom 👍 Excellent work clearing up that rubbish, you're a proper camper unlike the idiots doing the littering 🫡

I've been at a crash site 6 miles from me on sleive anorra mountain in 1942.they were American too.no survivors
Wow I bet that looked cool. Its sad though

I'm not to sure but I guess if the plane looked like that then they also would be similar to the plane. Scattered everywhere !?
@@Tominthetent That's crazy! I would be so nervous!!!
@@wendypacheco7438 It was a very relaxing camp perfect conditions !
