My name is Dave and I travel with my dog Bella in a 1987 Class A Motorhome. My channel is about full time RV Living in an older RV while keeping the wheels rolling on a budget. I do the repairs, updates and upgrades myself. I’ve become my own RV Mechanic/Medic! I seek boondocking opportunities every chance I can and power the RV with 500 watts of solar and approximately 500 amp hours of batteries. RV Resorts are just not our style!

I’d love to spend the summer up there and give you a hand with mowing it.
I would call that property home.
I like the 2nd one. My step dad still lives on his farm, by himself at 89. Much harder life and physical labor when they were homesteading and farming. I've tried talking him into moving to town, he says he can't live in a box apartment...lol.
Looks like a fun project!!! I love work like this it’s fulfilling to see your work make a difference. Remember to drink plenty of water Dave!! We’re not as young as we used to be.
A pond or stream would great.
GOOD MORNING BEST DAVE BELLA RUclips CANADA ONTARIO VIDEO MISSISSAUGA TRANSIT 🇨🇦🇨🇦🍃🍃🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🐕
Yes Dave, with some clean up, that would be spectacular. Your friend, Louise
You could maybe make your own trail or Dave, my Dad used to make his, he’d get and axle from the junk yard and proceed from there. You have a good welder I seem to remember, he picked up some angle iron and they always worked well. The last one he made……we’d borrowed and it was parked in our yard , woke up one day to find it gone🫣😳. Reported to RCMP but they never found it . We drove all over the place keeping an eye out for it but no go. Dad was peed off to say the least. 😤.
It even had removable sides so it could be flat and also tilted to drive the snowmobiles on.
It never even occurred to me someone might steal it and our dog who barked if we farted never made a noise, strange, I was definitely a bad daughter🥹.
Good luck clearing a spot on the homestead👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
So these properties still belong to your Family or just you? Beautiful areas...will be fun watching you groom them. Thanks for sharing 😎✌️
Very nice land. I have a lawnmower like urs I’m 69 and 3/4 of age. I mows my yard with it. Have a bless day. U r blessed to have all that land and oil cash to on top of it all.
Reference the first area Dave, probably loaded with deer. The stars must be fantastic at night! Can you be more specific as to what generation of yours farmed these areas? This brings memories of my grandparents Pennsylvania dairy farm near the Seven Springs ski area, now overgrown like this. It was 168 acres that is now completely treed. The out buildings and barn are down and remenants of the burned farm house are no longer visable. Kinda sad, but memories of my childood are very alive.
The farming ended at both places in the 1950s. I barely remember the house that was falling in at the first farm. The second farm house burned down and I only remember the foundation that remained.
Beautiful properties 😊❤ you're lucky to have all those awesome trees but I love the second farm with more evergreens 🌲 seems like a lot of work, but it should be great after you're done...this should keep you busy this summer 😂👍
I think the second farm has so much more character and has more of a campy feel to it. I'm exited to get a front yard with a fire ring established
@@DavesRVLife awesome 😁👍
Dude your freezer should be stocked with deer meat year round LOL.Hammock Heaven. You could pick up alot of brass there (:
That sounds like too much work! ....lol
Who owns the property now? Is it jointly owned by your family members? It would be a great place to invite your nomad friends to visit you.
Yes, and it would be and is! :)
Dave, I think you need a helper and your tractor when you come back. Looks like a great place to camp in the summer.
Such a beautiful area, Dave!! It'll take some work to clean it up the way you'd like, but my, my.. it'll be so nice & peaceful. Both areas have their own draws, & it's nice that you have them to choose from.
Welcome back to Pa!!!!!!!
Thanks David!
Big hug to Bella Bella❤
Well that’s all done 👍👋
You have some work ahead for you, but man that will be very satisfying to clean that stuff up and make room for you and your friends to boondock!
That's the plan!
👍.
good vid on travels keep up tghe travel vid liveing the bream thank four all tghe cool vids
I think I want to go deer hunting!!
A Farmall Cub pulling a brush hog would clear that up nice!
Morning Dave there always that one thing in life. Take your time and enjoy your day.
Wow. You sound like me talking about my property but I only have 14 acres. I’m a 65 yr old woman and I have the old homestead. I chainsaw and all that but I need to make some decisions on what to do with it. I have my own house 9 miles away. Oh well
I watch Little House on The Prairie on my phone. I don't think I could live like that or Nobody else could do it either. We are spoiled now.
Ever metal detected the old homestead?
Very nice properties, both of them. Are you responsible for the annual property taxes? I can see a nice RV ‘park’ for invited guest on the 2nd property. Consider buying a composite storage ‘shed’ sold at Sam’s Club for keeping the mowers there. Nice properties!
The royalties from the gas company are about equal to the taxes.
I just drove by you this am on I-76 heading to Gettysburg from Pahrump, NV for a greyhound dog convention. I have been on the road for six days now. It IS very wet in your area. It poured on me all day yesterday non_stop through Ohio. Have fun!
Very nice piece of property and a great place to camp!
Wow, you’re extremely lucky to have access to both farms. My mother’s side of the family has a farm in southern Ohio, Morgan County in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains that has been in the family since the early 1800s, I believe it’s five generations. Distant family members still live on the farm, but they don’t farm the land. Up the road a piece from it is the family cemetery, which we all have access to and as long as you are a descendent of my great, great grandfather you can be buried there.
We have Amish buggy’s here in Maine too.
Great video Dave. We are not far away we’re in the Kittanning area. I have a trailer, saws and a side by side and would love to help you clean up and make that an awesome place. If you want help let us know we are campers ourselves and love to help others out.
Wow, you are nearby! Thanks for offering to help. Where were you 7 years ago??? ....LOL
@@DavesRVLife yeppers we’re not far and we were probably camping somewhere 7 years ago but we remember the videos of you and Baxter and I have to mention the Tioga…!!!!
Time to look for black morels Dave, I'd be happy to show you how to.... 😃
Explain!
Nice property
Thanks!
Great places Dave. Hugs to you and Bella
"Git-er done son, because one day you'll be old yo yo!
You're lucky. Down here in West Virginny, we have green briers, wild grape vines, and crab apple trees that have thorns that'll flatten car tires.
I'm surprised it's still in relatively good shape.
As always, Thumbs up!😎👍
We have a lot of that here too, I'm just lucky it's not concentrated in this spot! :)
Try sowing some wildflower seeds
Check for ticks.
Hi Dave and Bella. Looks like a nice quiet place to get away from it all. 👌✌️👍
It sure is! :)
Please be careful with ticks. Check Bella (and yourself) carefully. They are nasty this year. ❤
I do check Bella very often and even moreso this time of yer. I wish all this rain would drown them all! ...lol
Second spot the best at least nobody staying on the land
Tell us if you see any signs of Bigfoot.
I'll set up my trail cam next trip! :)
i think you might have a problem with your camera.
?
Do you have a lot of deer ticks in that area? Seems like you would.
They are not usually too bad, but some years are worse than others.
The 5x speed play makes you look like you’re cruising at Warp Factor 1.
That was fun Dave, thanks for sharing with us. Maybe you could generate an income from the properties as an RV stop, do something like a membership plan, just a thought for your "older" age. 😁😁😎😎👍👍
Your going through those properties there, made me homesick. !! I'm in Oklahoma now but I'm originally from upstate New York. We had 298 acres up there. I kinda miss it now, But I Don't miss the snow, That Oswego County got off of Lake Ontario. 🤗 Spring, Summer & Fall was Good, But NOT WINTER ☃️
BUT, Yeah, I got homesick watching you TRUDGE through the acreage.. 😅
Glad you made it home.. ( you need to Build a Cabin out in Them there Woods 🪓🔥Camp fires at night 🤗 yeahhhhhh. 😂
Dave's R.V. camp 🏕 Grounds! $ 25 a night 🌙 no utilities yet! 2 days $ 45. Deal Dave's cheap R.V camping
Dave, take trip... up on his neighborly offer to help with that beautiful property maintenance.
Great video Dave! Those properties should make for some very fine camping this summer. Maybe on your next visits there, you could share some of the family history about those farms. I love hearing about family history tied to different places! Thanks again and say Hello to Bella for me.
That's a great photo of Baxter in the foreground of the Tioga. Maybe rent the 5x8 enclosed trailer from u-haul to get the Yard/Tractor up there and take the trailer back same day. Keep the tractor up there several weeks or so and park it off the main clearing with cheap camo tarp and a few sapling propped around it for concealment. Rent thew trailer again when ya need it back at the garage yard.
Wouldn't it be better with a weed eater?
But you have a rack to bring the mower & tools...
Next project for the van . A wench . I hear the Harbor Freight wenches are very good
Thanks for sharing It’s so nice to have a piece of property
Invite your friends to help you
Good job!
Thanks!
Hi Dave, first of all, i like the content of your channel. But i hate to have to say this, that at my end, i struggle with the poor quality resolution of your videos, it's like a 720p signal at best, sometimes it looks like 360p, even if i set the resolution to 1080p. Is it RUclips that messes it up, or what?
Again, sorry.
You may be experiencing slow internet speeds. The video quality is automatically dumbed down to compensate when that is happening. All of my videos are 1080p
And you will be getting the rain, I’m in ky and it’s been raining for 3 days, still as I’m typing, got soaked at Lowe’s picking up sod and flowers with the wind picking up and temps dropping low into 50, I froze, but sat 70 so we got got about 3 inches
Yup, it's been raining here for 2 days! More flood wrning are in effect.
This is so cool to see Dave, really appreciate you sharing. My great grandfather was born just north of there in Brookfield PA and I've been doing a lot of ancestry research on the area so this video is perfect timing for me!
Very cool!
Dave that place got lots promise… any water access around?? ❤❤❤
There are a few natural springs tht have overgrown access.
😆Bella was ready to go👍
Nice land, excellent for Nomads and off grid camping
It sure is!
Nice property. Would you like to be there in the summers?
Yes, often but not continously. :)
Dave, what is a gas well? Mowing what? Leaves? Let it go dude!
A well that produces natural gas. I know the tiny shrubs that are growing back were difficult to see on camera, but there was much debris that got mulched.
Make it a Camp 🏕 ground! Like Traveling Robert " Morales U Tube! Dave's Family! Camp Ground! 🏕
Fire wood
You need put in sea can bring tractor make it your home base nice property
?
Both spots look like with a bit of work, they would make a great spot for you to host some friends.
You and Jeff are invited! :)
@@DavesRVLife thank you :) we are planning to spend the summer traveling on the eastern side of the US. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see you
