Damn is that a popular saying? Cause it makes a lot of sense.
a group of aging ex gangsters turned vigilantes??
this movie needs a sequel immediately!
It has one.
@@leeauld4216 really??
I've not seen it yet but I think it's called 'we still steal the old way'
@@leeauld4216 thanks for that! just saw the trailer and am now interested to check it out. 🙂
The sequel is terrible
The idea of a former mob boss and retired police commissioner working together is brilliant.
just like batman and commissioner gordon.
people may not notice but batman is considered a mob boss too.
he has a group, a secret hideout and he takes young children (MINORS) and train them to fight adult monsters.
I wonder during the time they were both active of who had more evidence against the other
It happened more than a lot of people realised back in 50s and 60s London, they used to do each other "favours" if you know what I mean 😏.
Lmfao imagine that in real life… probably has happened actually😂
Martina Coles novels covers this brilliantly
We still kill the old way is honestly one of my favourite crime movies. The story is incredible and I love the fact it’s basically roadmen vs an old school mob. Definitely recommend this masterpiece!
Whats the name of the movie?
It literally says the name in the comments opening sentence. And at the start of the video
this movie makes no sense and the story just feels cheap
@@jurgenschmidt838 Let me explain the story to you. So the young people (aka the road men) killed someone who was an ex member of old school mafia (aka a real gang unlike the road men) after he was trying to stop a stranger he didn’t know from being raped by these young wannabe gangstas. Turns out the guy who got killed was the brother of one of the most feared mob leaders in London, turns out he had moved away from London but returned for his brothers funeral. By the way before I carry on they were all retired before the brother wound up dead, so this lead to them coming out of retirement to hunt down the road men one by one, leading to some brutal torture to find out who actually killed his brother. Which when discovering where the road men are it leads to a big shootout between the two gangs. But long story short, road men have nothing on an old school mob.
@@jurgenschmidt838 you're wrong
Beware the wrath of a quiet man.
Especially in this day and age. You may beat the hell out someone, and think "that's all" . Unbeknownst to you, the word is out on the street.
And don't underestimate old men. They didn't get old by being weak and stupid.
What if wrath of man and wrath of a quiet man team up
To be exact, beware the wrath of a quiet, suave man

No wonder my grandpa hates the justice system, at the same time I don’t hate cops but I also don’t like how our justice system handles business most times. I enjoyed how the retired mafia boss and his buddies won this battle at the end.
Remember government agents like the devil and a poisonous snake are best left alone.
This really did make me understand why my grandpa fuckin hates how things are 😂

I honestly hope to live to the time we return to making criminals cower when caught, because then they’d know that they could be at the end of a rope at any time.
@@keegantripp1245 Not likely because most of the criminals these days are the Politicians and Corporate Executives.
Okay James Bond.
NEVER underestimate your elders. They have the skills & know-how to back up the swagger.
This always happens, young punks underestimating old men. In my parents pueblo an 18 year old who thought he was all that because no one had beaten him in a street fight (whos cousins are also a group of low life hoodlums), had an argument with a 66 year old man in a soccer game because the old man scored a goal on him. So the kid picked a fight with him, not knowing that the old timer was a former boxer when he was young. And when they fought the old man beat the shit outta him 😂😂😂. I wish I had been there, but instead I was told what happened and almost the whole town found out.
LoL that shit really happens! Old Man Strength+ Old Man Skills Are A Good Way To Get Humiliated.

I came across this film 'by accident', but thoroughly enjoyed it for it's moral message as such. The best part was the final lines delivered by Ian Ogilvie.

Old mafia traditions can definitely outsmart a street thug gangster. Never touch a made man brother. I love this.
*thug hunters*
justice system just pisses me off. Watching a group of shady asshats leave an alley where a dead man is, is very much enough evidence in my book for probable cause to detain and question, search, etc. IF NOTHING ELSE.. walking through an alley and not saying anything about a body should get them looked at. Yet realistically this is what would happen, even in the US. We need more vigilantes.
but if the police are also compromised. why would you expect different?
@@gregsmith7828 Exactly. They're bought and paid for thugs.
We're out there. Rest assured. More Americans are realizing that when every second counts, Law Enforcement are Minutes away. Do the math.
This is precisely why people don't report shit, because cops are always inventing crimes / looking for ways to stick people with crimes. You call the cops as a victim and end up getting arrested yourself for something else entirely. Cops don't need more power, they already prioritize themselves over the public and ignore our rights, getting away with it scot-free thanks to qualified immunity. At worst they get a paid vacation and move a few counties over to start again.
who cares?
One thing I like about this this film was the fact these guys may be old mob guys, but they still got some bite in them plus they really got nothing else to lose. Most of their friends are gone, an their body is slowly crapping out on them if they want to go out they do it their way.
this is literally the cooler me and the boys meme
The actor who plays Charlie is also well known for playing the main villain in Beverley Hills Cop.
Apparently it's still the best selling R rated movie if you go by cinema tickets sold
I thought he looked familiar. He also played Hitler in War And Remembrance back in the 80's.
He was also in 'James Bond: Octopussy' - as that accent-ridden Russian General Orlov, whose madness is not at all less than Hitler.

Lucky gangsters. Their mothers and fathers still lives. Their brothers and sisters still lives. Their grandfathers and grandmothers still lives. Their wive/girlfriends still lives. Their children still lives. Their cousins still lives.
There are places somewhere else where entire families have become shark feed, croc feed, worm feed.
Lucky
My wife grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA in the 1950-60s. The entire area was run by the mob.
There was literally no crime there. No robberies, no thefts, no assaults, no trespassing or violent crime of any kind.
Why?
Because everyone.... And I mean EVERYONE!!!!!!! Knew that if they committed an unsanctioned crime in the area they were DEAD.
And if it was serious enough, their family was on the table as well.
The feds took out the mob in the early 80s. The place has turned into a shithole.
Demographics change did that.
Damm
The mob kept more order in the neighborhood than police and the government.
Let that sink in.
That's because mobs especially when they understood consequences and their business.
They know what's right and what isn't.
They control the area, that doesn't mean they need to allow their people to be harassed by members of their group.
It's called keeping order and not being dumbasses creating problems.
Some mob gangs are just sometimes smarter and good but some ain't

I know that Richie is the one to get revenge but I'm sure Charlie has hardcore mates of his own. Plus, the gang of idiot boys must've been pissing themselves when they realized who they killed.

I would not watch this movie. It's completely unreal. I know it's a movie but cmon!
First - there is way too much going on.
Second -all it would've taken is one nail through the hand and both of those first two guys would've spilled their guts.
Third - same thing with the next guy.
Fourth - no way the ex-gangsters that lived there didn't know everything about the young gang.
Fifth - it should've taken no longer than a week to find, kidnap, torture and kill everyone involved in the death of Charlie.
Sixth - ex-mafia? Brother murdered? And he let's himself be distracted by a woman? What is this?

Welcome to the old ways of the East End of London and we don't have Mafia in England we have Gangland. The Gangland way was you hurt an innocent or stole etc from them and not another gang member then you paid the ultimate price.
