    We are ALL forgotten ... but as for this man. He will be alive in our memories for a LONG TIME TO COME! A Man's MAN. A man that will put a smile on our face when his name is mentioned, his movie pops up, etc.
    Really, someone you can't help but love! We will always miss you!

    They don't really make them like Burt anymore. Many stars today aren't secure enough to laugh at themselves. Today they take themselves so seriously.

    Burt Reynolds is priceless. He is a beautiful man who makes me laugh. He could not look bad no matter what he did to his face, or what he stuck to his head. 75% of sexiness is confidence and Burt always had that. Love you Burt and miss you, so sorry we don't see more of you today

    Man, these guys are great together! I never would have guessed. And they so clearly love working together. They have this kind of Hope-Crosby chemistry. Also, Steve is a brilliant talk show host. I wouldn't have suspected that, given his manic stage persona. What a great slice of the world of my youth.

    This guy dying is one of those that really hurts even though I never met him in my life. I'm 56 and it reminds me of John Lennon dying, society loses a lot by this. This is a guy who was always super positive, it takes someone with a lot of strength to be like that, it seems everyone takes the negative today blaming others for problems, it didn't matter what kind of shit was going down, when Burt was on the scene you knew everything was going to be cool. This really really sucks, he was one of those guys who existed throughout my entire life and acted as a buffer and now he is gone and the world just got a hell of a lot more cold and harsh.

      @John Smith agreed. To this day I can’t stand the Beatles songs where his voice or songwriting was dominant. In my opinion, he was truly lucky to be a member of the Beatles, and I can’t fathom why people associate his death with the likes of JFK. MLK, or the like. Or even the death of Burt Reynolds. John Lennon? Really? Imagine all the people, unifying in their tempered resilience upon the assassination of an inflated ego, a false prophet, and a rider on the coattails of George and Paul.
      Imagine. It’s not hard at all really. I don’t even have to imagine that. It’s real. Lennon as a true visionary and purveyor of revolution is more than just flawed, it’s erroneous. Protesting war, preaching peace and unity, love and tolerance, was not his singular dominion. He should be admired for such notion, but so should Muhammad Ali, and plenty of others, who actually put their actions in the places where others rested on words. Try not allowing your bag of useless shit girlfriend to split up what was widely considered the preeminent musical group of the time? How’s that for peace and love and unity?

    I was 18, Steve was the #1 comedian and Burt was the #1 Movie star and I was a huge fan of them both, so of course I saw this live that evening and we just rolled on the floor.
    Saw both Hooper and The End that year and Steve's The Jerk came out the year after.
    I miss Burt and I still cherish Steve's performances whenever I can see them.

    • @bratton79
      @bratton79 6 лет назад +7

      I just learned that too! Ever since Burt died I've been depressed. He was such a likeable guy. So I've been watching lots of RUclips videos and reading tributes and so forth. I learned that Burt Reynolds was approached to play the part of Michael Corleone in Godfather but Marlon Brando threatened to quit so that was that. As much as Al Pacino nailed the role and will forever be defined by his performance in Godfather, Burt would have been wonderful in that film. He not only bears a resemblance to Marlon Brando but he would be totally believable as James Caan's brother, too.
