Dance Little Liar is one of my favourite songs. I credit Humbug as being the album that made "TBH+C" possible (my favourite of theirs). Great video, keep doing what you're doing. Cheers
A important record for the band, without it I don't think they be the band they are today. It showed they weren't going to be a band that did the same thing over and over and would take chances with their sound. Without Humbug you wouldn't have got AM. Within the diehard fanbase many would put Humbug as their best album. For me it's definitely top 3, and it's b-sides during that era are some of the best in the bands canon. Every song is great on it.
I bough the CD on the day of release … I was very disappointed by the change of sound. Eventually I got accustomed to it. Now I even like The Car, would you believe it!?
@indiesleaze well, so far The Car is the only Artic Monkeys I don't have on CD. Try to listen it playing the songs at random ... it makes a difference when you particularly like an album, it makes it sounds slightly different. maybe the "surprise" gives that spark.
Underrated Monkeys album. Am not there biggest fan today but up until AM I really liked them and there early change of direction. The Car and the album before aren't that good imo.

this whole album is such a lyrical and musical masterpiece but 'fire and the thud' has been one of my favourite AM tunes since it came out

The Car never clicked with me. I loved Tranquility Base though and enjoyed how tongue in cheek it was.
