He also plays it for the Last Shadow Puppets, if I'm not mistaken. Either he's a very quick learner (which he seems to be) or he was being incredibly modest here (Which also fits the character)

As a fan of AM since their inception, these videos will never get old to me. Thank you for consistently breaking down what goes into their incredible craftsmanship of songs. I always deeply appreciate your insight and enlightenment! I find something new to love about their songs every time I watch one of your videos about them as well, and that's just priceless. Thanks again! ☺

this song hit different when it first came out, totally different from previous albums that they've done before. that catchy riff guitar just got me stuck and probably in contrary many fans hated the song because not fast and more rock like any other songs before AM. but yeah they evolve and that's why Arctic Monkeys is one of my favorite band ever.

the song is huge no doubt but this video is too, I'm really impressed how you achieve such an impeccable edition and at the same time catches the viewer from the first moment, you just showed me fragments of interviews that were made to the guys that even I who am a big fan hadn't seen and these help me to have a much more complete perception of the song and in general of the great work behind this album, I wish you could do a deconstruction like this of every Arctic Monkeys song, but I understand it would take a long time, so I'd just like to thank you for putting so much effort into every video you do, you deserve so much more recognition because it really is amazing the work and research behind these videos, keep it up man!

For me, Do I Wanna Know is the perfect song. The beat, the melody, the riff, the backing vocals, the lyrics, the climax, it being about love. Just perfect. I will be forever grateful that I got to attend their 2023 Berlin performance which they closed with 'Do I Wanna Know'.

Arctic Monkeys is my favorite band. I saw them in September and it was like a spiritual experience for me. I love how they’re a band where everyone is doing their part, all of the members are equal. The percussion is so important, the bass lines anchor the songs, the guitar brings people in, the vocals/lyrics keep people coming back. They are amazing ❤

Thank you for this video, I am not a musician, but can clearly discern that they are doing something unique. I have been wondering if he writes the lyrics first and they add the music or if they build the song up. And your video explains how they build it up. And the part about the lyrics vocal not matching the unchanging music, just fascinating. I think they do this with all their songs and that is what makes them unique and fantastic. I love this band! Thanks

I discovered the band through Krogstad Dad memes. Specifically the Full Metal Alchemist one. "Have you ever been forced to be a child soldier for the government because you decided to fork around and find out about Equivalent Exchange by resurrecting yer neglected mother, and it cost you yer arm, yer leg, and your brother's entire corporeal form? Well that's hwhat it feels like to drive the new Ford EFFWONPHIDDIE." It's a much slower version of that banger of a riff while someone's knocking ping pong balls into beer pong cups, but I'm like "I must know what that riff is." So, I found it. I've been hooked ever since.

    • @vibescentral5992

I think it’s because he’s just naturally a shy and reserved individual. He also strikes me as someone who doesn’t want to reveal a lot of personal stuff to the world. For example, when the interview asked him if “Do I Wanna Know” was based on a girl, he simply said “yes” and did not further elaborate. He also normally does sound a bit deadpan which might play into why he seems drunk.

unfortunately for me, the last two albums are really boring, and the way he's singing now is not good to my ears, like a caricature... to me, 2010-2011 (submarine, suck it and see) was the peak of his talent. I hope to find good things in the future... But that's ok, I found a crazy talented duo those last few years (thanks to an AM concert) 'The Lemon Twigs'. Genuises to my ears.
