No I think this "Aggression" has been a part of Timo's game for some time now. His game is more about counterattacking quickly off the bounce and playing smart and precise placements. Timo himself attested to this, but counterattacking off the bounce can look a lot like aggression which it really isn't, For example Mima Ito,Lee Sangsu, Miu Hirano,Fan Zhendong --- these are really aggressive I'm not saying Timo doesn't play aggressive sometimes though, but it's more of counterattacking

Secondly if those last two game weren't so close I'd agree he's probably still worn out but that's not the reason he lost here. Timo remembered how Hugo beat him last time and played tighter in that spot and gave him heavier side spin serves. But when it came down to it Timo set up better than Hugo.

I think as much as possible he needs to do something similar to how Ma Long and Fan Zhendong beat Timo, they pummel that backhand with speed and powerful forehands and ensure their backhands are safe and ready for Timo's placements. Timo's backhand is very strong when playing out wide cross court off the bounce, and unless the ball moves very fast or the Chinese are not positioned well or an awkward ball, they just happily hit bombs back into his body
hugo losing is not related to his use of wrist. he uses plenty of it, and too much at times. the main reason is because his strategy of trying to power and speed past boll, predictably opening up with bh flick every time, wasn't very good considering boll plays fast topspin counters and heavy topspin loop. there are plenty of powerful players in europe and timo has done well for so long precisely because he can outplay all of them. the only major weakness i've seen timo exhibit is his lateral footwork is somewhat slower, especially when going to the fh side.

Hugo uses more wrist than Ovtcharov and maybe Pitchford! And hopefully you understand the reason why people use the backhand flick, is so they can get the first attack.

Ma Long recent meetings with Fan Zhendong are a good example as fan zhendong tries to take the initiative, attack first but yet Ma Long is ready to counter to win the point and the match. This is the same with this match

Your right Dima does try to over power in every sense of the word but he's definitely not a one hitter.
