I live in central South Kentucky and I noticed the mockingbirds that were making a nest here after I bought my new home and it's not been 2 years and I've got a whole community of mockingbirds they are so beautiful and they will protect their own! This is new to me from Missouri, we don't have mockingbirds there probably too hot and humid it's really nice here where I live in Kentucky outside Bowling Green

I also love the behavior. He was at the top of the tallest tree in the neighborhood, Flew up and down and kept singing. It reminded me of the hummingbird mating dance, even though he only flew up a couple of feet.

Mocking birds are so cool to listen to. They can incredibly mimic a myriad of bird voicings. I watched a male and female one morning tag team this crow near there nest it was hilarious. The crow was like f*"# this crap I'm outta here.

Cool thing about Mockingbirds is I knew this was recorded somewhere in the east before I looked at the info on the video due to the bird calls I heard it imitate among them being Carolina Wren and Red-headed Woodpecker which I don't have here in California. Out here you hear them imitate California Quail a lot as well as Acorn Woodpeckers in places where they are found.

from 14 second to 29 seconds I think that's a cardinal. At 1:26-38cardinal again. Blue jay starting at 1:39-42 saying twee-dee. 1:43-56 is a nuthatch. Then followed by Peter, Peter, Peter starting at 1:57-59 - titmouse.
