It seems to me that you're very interested in birds and their nests and babies. Maybe if you're going to film them you should put the dog up when they fledge. They can't fly really well and end up on the ground a lot. Just saying! Other than that it's a good video! Thank you for sharing!

Perhaps your dog will end up on the buffet?

I have. Nest outside that have not hatched it’s been more than several weeks. The eggs are the same size. I wonder if the eggs failed.

all birds like these are incubated for 11-14 day anything more than that is infertile ...if you bothered them a lot they might just abandon the nest, otherwise 2 out of 4 should hatched...if all 4 eggs didn't hatched it's because the parent abandoned it. or you got the date wrong from when it started to incubate it.

Crows picked off the babies in our backyard! One by one! We managed to save one by scaring the crow, but after about 3 days out of the nest the damn crow came back and nabbed him! Mama and papa mockingbird were so upset. They stuck around though and made a new nest so hopefully these babies will make it! They are so vulnerable 😥

Sadly crows often return to the scene of a crime when they spot baby birds. The same holds true for racoons.

you lost my up vote when you kicked the poor baby bird killed by your dog. why would you do THAT? 1) let your dog run after them? 2) shows zero empathy. maybe it is the Chinese thing (cantonese, still chinese!)

cantonese .. that is why it sounded to me although i do not understand a word of it. it is a chinese dialect spoken by people in guangzhou and hong kong. the language itself is not a problem (watch a world renowned movie called "in the mood for love"... you'll see how romantic cantonese can be.) it is the people who speak it just like all languages.
