Last year Robin made a nest above my porch light. There was three eggs two of the eggs were pushed out I guess, and smashed on the ground or something got to it. There was one egg that landed on a pillow and didn’t break so I put it back in the nest, the mother hatched it I watched it grow, I watched it on the ground left it alone, knowing it was old enough now this spring, either the same mother, bird, or that baby made the nest in the same spot. I’m sitting out front like I usually do the bird flew his nest, looked at me and didn’t seem bothered like it recognized me.😊
@@aaronmayhew2.0 that is the truth I’ve always been a cat whisperer stray, cats that never trusted anyone or even when I went into friends houses, whose cats hated everyone would always walk right up to me for some reason I have raised many many feral kittens and found homes for them throughout my lifeI guess they just sent that i’ve always thought it was because I speak their body language. Me and my cousins were at the park at the starting of the summer. We were settling in until we saw a newborn baby bird on the table in the park gazebo. My grandma spotted to nest but it was too far. We did not know what to do. We tried to call the mom but she would not come. My dumb cousin decided to give it water. After that, it took its last breaths and died. I cried so much because it was a few days old. But now you finally helped me on what to do. Thanks so much.
It could have died in your care. It could have died at a rescue. That is nature. On the whole leaving fledglings alone saves more birds than harms them. Any rescue will tell you that. If you always want the perfect outcome then don't watch nature on the outside...watch it in the movies.
You saved me a trip up a tree to try to renest a fledgling. Thanks! 😊 Indeed, good thing my cat Jax isn't out or baby mockingbird would be no more... 😅😂
EXCELLENT VIDEO our dear man. Thank you for this. This is the first video I came upon - meant to be. God is working here. Your video is JAM PACKED yet super efficient! I was distressed over a mama in distress over her fledgling - but now know it's all good and to leave them be! Thank you sir.
I just found a nest in my gazebo curtains when I opened it for shade, I put the nest back because it fell I hope mom comes back because it’s like 4 of them
If you guys can help here, I believe I found a fledgling and I put him in hay (in a very busy bush filled with the same type of bird flying in and out everyday) as I couldn't find the nest. I left a coconut sort of feed dangling from a twig inside the bush, and I'm just hoping I kind of did the right thing. If I left the bird out, the dog would have gotten it as it was out on the concrete and I'd prefer that didn't happen🙏🏼 Let me know if you guys can, thank you😬
Ugh I think the baby mockingbird in my backyard is a fledgling but not quite there yet. Both the parents are watching over it but we have all these cats that run around my neighborhood and hang around my house. And there was one back there earlier and the parents were would not stop squawking at the cat. I really hope they leave the poor bird alone until it can fly.
Trapper guy! I am a kid I'm above 11+ I have found a little bird above 4 weeks or 5 have a broken leg and he is too weak to walk what do I do I just keep giving him a fresh water to not dying of the hot summer help please I want a fast reply😢
I wish I would’ve seen this video a week ago, there was a “fledgling” bird out of the nest and I thought he jumped so I took him home with me and he died the next day😢 but from now on I will not pick up any fledglings so thanks for the information
Thank you! My husband went to take a photo of the baby birds (fledglings) and out they went 😡 We saw the Mama went after them…will she try to bring them back to the nest??? I am sooo bummed 🫤
There's three fledglings in my yard and their mom is not coming to feed them I've been feeding them but they keep going into the road. How long does this go on without their mother feeding them and will they die and get killed by a blackbird
One just fell in my yard must have been there all night and day from the storm we had last night. Looks too young to be trying to fly but nest is way up in the tree. Just hope my dogs don’t eat it!
If the mom is still there then just leave it. If it is in your way then you can put it in bushes just off the porch. Sometimes they will just sit there until mom comes to feed them
Thank you. My dog found it but didn't touch it. It wasn't in a safe location. 3 German Shepherd pen. My Husband placed it back in the nest. It looked as if it was between a newbie and a fledgling. He looked healthy. Thank you for giving me comfort. I think it was a blue bird, but not a blue Jay. 🤷

Cool!
Animals can sense good people right away. Some people are light. Most Others aren't. Consumed by the illusion of darkness we live in

I followed this advice. I came back a few hours later to the baby bird, dead.
Great advice.

Glad you're back!! Thought a gator might have got ya! 😃
I agree with the last part. Just let nature take its course!
I wish! Instead something silly will get me like Steve Irwin.

Mom will take care of it...and a fledgling will be flying soon...if not already.

Yes ,,leave the fledging be, but move him to the bushes if is in a dangerous area, ,,sometimes they are in the middle of tráfic😮
Yes...of course if it is in eminent danger. 😁
Good video!

If you saw this I just went to check him.. I sawed him died 😢
If it has an injury then try and find a local bird rescue. Local veterinarians may point you in the right direction.
@@user-cz1im9qb2z It happens. You tried your best.

We saw a fledgling jump out and put it back in the nest. It's not moving and there are flies around the wing. We should've left it alone. 😭
I have a couple of babies that keep jumping out of the nest, and I'm afraid to put them back in the tree. Do you have any advice?
Thank you! My husband went to take a photo of the baby birds (fledglings) and out they went 😡 We saw the Mama went after them…will she try to bring them back to the nest??? I am sooo bummed 🫤
No. She will feed them on the ground. They will be flying soon.
What if it's storming?
Still better with momma.

Until they can fly which if they are fledglings is a day or so.

If it is a nestling and not a fledgling you can screw a shoebox in tree out of reach from dog and place it in it.
Haha that pic of the of the pregnant chick!
I just found a baby bird it literally fell from the tree the nest is to far up...what do I do
Says what to do in video.
What to do if fledgling is on the ground and not moving and struggling to fly please response the nest is on my front porch
If the mom is still there then just leave it. If it is in your way then you can put it in bushes just off the porch. Sometimes they will just sit there until mom comes to feed them

Stupid bird needs to be I Fellowship
Funny I just put a bird back in the nest and the next morning it was on the ground again ffs😂
What if it is not safe to leave the fledgling on the ground? Example: my cats will get it if they see it (the truth, they will)
yes i have seen this , i always wonder why do birds make nests right by where the cats hang out 🤦♀️
Birds make nests where they always have or where they can. Why do people let cats hang out where birds nest? 😉
Thank you. My dog found it but didn't touch it. It wasn't in a safe location. 3 German Shepherd pen.
My Husband placed it back in the nest. It looked as if it was between a newbie and a fledgling. He looked healthy.

If you find it again in the pen then just take it away from pen area. Mom will find it.
@@TheTrapperGuy unfortunately, they are all in the pen area. He's safe now, but I might end up moving the nest. Thank you for being so kind🌷
Thankyou
Your welcome!
What if the fledglings have no parents are they going to survive
It depends on the age of the fledgling and how soon they fly. I have noticed fledglings in my yard start flying within a day or two.
That was my mom!
Was that a pic of your ex in the video lol
Haha. No it is a picture from a talented photographer credited in comments.

hey what if the mom had left the nest or she is dead we found him on the ground and the nest was empty
If you see her carcass...or are certain that she isn't coming back...then you can find a rescue.
A bird just fell from a tree....The nest is to far up what do I do
