Hey , again a similar story. I was renovating my bird shed to start with finch keeping after a break from bird breeding for a few years. I left an unnoticed gap under the door and my hen zebbie who was sitting on 5 chicks between 9 and 15 days old got out and the cock abandoned the chicks by the next night. I have bred parrots for years and have a little experience in handrearing bigger birds like conures Senegal’s love birds and cockatiels so i thought i would have a go at saving the little chicks as it was my fault they had been left and would die. I used your formula to get the first feed into the little ones and ultimately saved their lives. They were gone listless and lethargic till i gave them your recipe of food. I managed to get a tub of hand rearing formula and they are now starting the weaning process. Thanks loads for this wonderful video.
I have two little videos of me feeding the chicks the first after 6 days and the second 3 weeks later, Monday last week. You might get a kick out of seeng the little ones you helped save 😊 the little videos are on my “channel” (its not really a channel just the two little videos of the baby zebbie feedings. 🤷‍♂️😊

My vet told me never give egg to a sparrow which would destroy their digestive system. You can give good quality of kitten cat kibble . you boil water and let it warm and put some kitten kibble with chicken and wait till the kibbles got soft and observe water . You can feed the baby sparrow with it which I’m doing it now. I use tweezers and cut the kibble in 2 or 3 pieces and gently give one by one to the baby. I also mix it with the boiled drinking water ( to have a sterilized water) and givi it with a injection ( take of the needle ofcourse) . So that gives the bird water and the minerals she needs. I feed them in every 2 hours , sometimes even in 1 hour they get hungry. I don’t sleep however worth it for their lives. The other important thing is to make them feel that they are in their nest. And be aware of their body temperature. I don’t use hot water bag because I’m scared if I can’t control the heat. So I use stones which I warm them in the owen. And I replace them at the corners of their box. And make sure they have an organic box with air holes. After I feed then I slightly cover them and they feel at home and sleep. I check the heat in the box to make sure they are ok. And also I put soft toilet paper pieces where they sleep , it’s easy to collect when they poop. They poop when the mother is there because in nature, mother collects it when they are pooping. Very strange. You can find videos of it. So I try my best to do it in their own nature. This is my first experience and I wanted to share it with you. They are 7 days old. I hope all the best to you all

Mother knows best what to feed her babies and keep the nest clean by eating off baby 💩. They feed their babies with insects, grasshoppers, grapes, berries, etc. I don't know how they do it, but it's a treat to watch how bird parents raise their chicks with utmost care until they are able to fly as good as the parents. Surely birds have evolved a long way to be able to prove that they are the most responsible parents in nature, besides majority humans.

I've been looking for easy formula & caring methods for a bit, this is the best one. I don't even know if ill need it but I wanted to be ready. I have a bird that has nested in my roof. It in a position that I can't even see the nest, but some heavy wind blew an egg out & it rolled down & landed in front of my porch. I don't want to try to put it back because the mom could reject them all, & I couldn't see/reach the nest even if I wanted to... there are no cracks or visible damage to the egg, so I'm hopeful it survived the fall. I figured it wouldn't hurt anything to try to save it. I put a heating pad in a empty fish tank & used the bottom of a Pokémon ball & a sock for the nest... I hope that will suffice.
Thank you for your video. ❤

I have a question. I love your channel I studied yours and others and I hand commercial formula left from my cockatiels. I hand-fed snd raised my 2 baby cockatiels from 2 weeks old up . We rescued a newborn baby maybe 2 days old that was either ejected from a nest or fell from a nest . I even was in contact with a lady I met on Tik Tok that rescues wild birds . I only had a little commercial food left so yesterday afternoon I ground up really fine oats and mixed the dry oats with the rest of my dry commercial formula. . I ordered more formula from Amazon and was waiting on it . The bird seemed to do just fine with the mixture . I had Frances Hope in a bed lined with fleece blanket on a cardboard box and the box inside of a big clear plastic box with a heating pad on low . I checked it frequently. I gave her the last feeding at 2 am this morning . I had to sleep , I checked on her at 4 am she was very dead . I’m praying it’s nothing I did , I’m praying it wasn’t the oatmeal . I made sure the consistency was right . I’m not sure if she was sick and maybe I didn’t know or if the fall injured her or what . But oatmeal is sticky and drying and I had the consistency right , I just pray it wasn’t the oats I mixed in the formula. My husband went out to bury it , I just couldn’t. All lives are so valuable, and I believe God wants us to be kind to helpless creatures . The bird was going to the bathroom a whole lot , this morning when I found it dead there was no bowel movement. When you rescue a wild baby it’s around the clock care and feedings , so much responsibility and work . If you think the oatmeal killed it then maybe my story will help . I didn’t overfeed it either .

I used chopsticks. Lol. They sort of mimic the birds beak when you have to readjust your grip on the food, which in turn softens it. It also Mimics how birds can’t so easily chop things up or manoeuvre as finely as we do. Maybe they think I’m a bird. I found insects btw. Worms, berries, stuff they’d eat normally plus yoghurt and a few random things because they eat anything. I used a syringe for water if I couldn’t find wet clumps of roots to wring, a dewy leaf, etc.

I also have him in a horse water bucket with hay to hide hanging outside as it is very warm. It is supposed to get to 69 degrees tonight don’t want him to get cold. Thank you for this. My kitty bought home 2 baby birds yday with the intention of eating them. Unfortunately one was already dead and the other one I quickly picked up before she could attack. No idea where she got it from so I have no idea where to put it to reunite it with its family. I looked online everywhere and yesterday I soaked some kitten biscuits in warm water until they were soft and fed that throughout the day. Then later I added some banana to it too. Today I've made scrambled eggs. He seems to be doing really well thankfully. Crop is full. I think it's a baby garden Robin as it's veryy tiny. He's quite playful too. Always jumping out of his box and running towards me and climbing on me ton snugglen

a baby bird fell off it's nest, few days old and I decided to keep and take care of it till it can fly on its own, i took on yt to find what to feed baby birds, , then i found your post.. my questions are how many times do I need to feed it and when it grows a little bigger ( hopefully) do I need to change what to feed it or should I continue the same?? some worms or small insects maybe ? and if I need to change the food, when will I know it's time to change it??

Thank you very much for sharing this video!
I have a 16-day old baby Zebra Finch. The mother stopped feeding it or incubating after 13 days so I was forced to take care of it and hand-feed. However, it seems to be swallowing A LOR of air through the day and I don't know if there is anything wrong with it. Sometimes it creates what looks like foam in the top part of its crop... Am I doing anything wrong? Should I try your homemade formula? Thanks 😊

GREAT video! I am feeding a baby sparrow. He is eating the mix you suggest and chirping and pooping. How long until he is ready to go off on his own? Hw will he know what to do since his parents didn't teach him?

Hi.. yesterday I rescued the bulbul bird from street dogs, maybe it is 10days old (eyes are opend).
I don't have any idea about birds feeding. But yesterday I fed some (Wheat apple flavour) cerelac.
Today I fed some fruits like ( Ivy gourd, apple and grapes)
But bird poop looks like some watery and looks like fruit colour what I fed. Is there something wrong with my feeding? Is that loose motions or normal motions? Please let me know. I'm worried 😟
    I'm feeding every hour once.
Not at all over feeding. Because it's opening the mouth only twice.. each and every time 🤷

i rescued a baby sparrow today and its mouths broken,im hand rearing using syringe and tube but no matter how little i push into the crop it comes out the mouth as if its full? maybe im putting too much? i know with baby pigeons you fill the crop some and can literally see and feel if crops full enough, this bird i feel nothing and worried i cant get food in her. im using grinded up bird seed and water.
how often should fledling be fed? again its mouth broken so i have to force feed with ink syringe and smallest diameter tube from ace hardware
