@@DrDaveW Not only that, No bird got starve to death, normally you would expect a few to die due to lack of food or poor parenting of the parent birds but they all manage to grow up and leave the nest, altho one came close to dying from choking and one looks smaller than the rest(the last one to leave), but it just shows how much food they got around their nest, enough to feed them all to teenagerhood.
This video was SO good. Very interesting to see the chicks attempting their first flight out of the nest, with the little one’s heart pounding. So scary yet heart warming.
FYI, the bird that attacked the bird house was indeed a starling but the bird singing at 6:09 is a male blackbird and brown bird at 6:13 is a female blackbird.
This was incredible to watch!!!! Your dedication to observation, time commitment to nature and fascinating things in general is something I am so grateful for. Thank you.
One of the highest quality narratives I’ve heard in a long time. Beautiful quality work on your video as always. Keeping this video clean allows me to show this work to others.
"Do baby birds just shit all over the nest?" "Oh no, not at all" "Ah good, because that'd be gross" "No, the mother bird just scoops it right out of their butts and eats it" "..."
Excellent video. It might be an idea to block the entrance hole and drill another hole (32mm) an inch or two higher. The current hole seems a bit low and the chicks another time might be fished out. A metal protective device (the same size as the hole) might be another good idea to prevent wood peckers opening up the hole.
Love this so much! Your dedication is admirable and your narration is easy on the ears, informative, with a touch of humor 😆 So proud of mama bird for doing all that work! Her babies seem ready to live a long life.
YOUR VIDEO WAS VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER❤ ENJOYED THE TALK LETTING ME KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS 🤔 THANK YOU & PLEASE CONTINUE THIS GREAT CONTENT OF BIRDS LIFE🫶🏾🌹👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🌈
Make a birdhouse with GPS and a bluetooth camera anyone can connect with and in the future you can just point at a tree and choose to seethe the development stages of any nest.
Bravo! Check out Robert E Fuller’s cameras and video work for tips. The moderators know a ton about the process. He mostly has barn owls, tawny owls, and he has filmed doves as well.
all six birds survived from this nest, that's an achievement I had to say.
I guess it's helped by that fact that they are in a secure box, and not just a nest in a hedge.

The first video said there was 8 eggs how were there six chicks?

@@R.E.D.T.O.M.A.T.O. Either 2 eggs didn't hatch or 2 chicks starved to death. It's mother nature after all, and sadly only the toughest survives.

It's really hard to find good content on RUclips. Video recommendations are no longer relevant. But you are one of my favourites.
Totally agree
So true
Nowadays they recommend videos that you've probably just watched a day ago...smh

I love birds so much and it's always super cool to see how a mama bird looks after her babies as time passes 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦
Wow!! What a fantastic finale! It's been fun to watch this family grow up!! The thing about the baby bird poop is cool and gross! Love it! Lol
It’s amazing how the bird knows how to do everything it’s doing
Right? The natural instinct in animals never fails to blow my mind.
Same for humans 😂

@@warrobots90s How can your mother claim to love you if she won't even eat your poop?
Dogs do the same thing.

That bird house saved them from the predator bird. Fantastic narrating. Please thumbs up this video.

Great series dude. Wonderful footage and story-line as well.
The baby looked like squidward when its mouth was closed 😂😂😂
Beautiful footage loved watching it all. Thank you. 😊
Awesome video. Someone else has probably mentioned it, but a metal plate around the entrance can protect from predators.
Very excellent documentary of bird behavior you completed here! 💖

AMAZING! That was the greatest ending ever !❤️ when they got scared by the Predator i laughed cuz their faces were funny😂
Female finch is such a beautiful little bird and the males are red but not as beautiful as the bright yellow female. They love thistle too!!
As soon as the Mama bird comes, the babies are like give me food, please.
2:42 that one fly dude
I think your bird box could be larger to give more room for mum and dad, but loved the video, thanks, see you next year,
Bob in the UK
i think the smell of the wood and paint made it uneasy for the birds to settle initially. After all the whole build was homemade
Thank you for this wonderful video. Life is so beatuiful!

Thank you for making this wonderful video for us enjoy God bless you 🙏❤️ greetings from Finland 🇫🇮 ❤
Hatchlings will just do that when they hear any sounds. If you approach a nest they will suddenly pop out at you and it's really frightening.
Cool video! One thing: 6:10 is an Eurasian blackbird, which is more closely related to thrushes than starlings
Wow! Really great video!
They are so cute!!😍😍❤❤❤lord the baby birds are so cute!!!!💜💜💕💕
It's the chicks looks so cute I love your videos about finding a birdhouse
so cool, I have never seen the whole process, thank you!

Amazing content, I could learn a thing or 2 from you! 🎉
GREAT!! ❤🎉🎉 DAMN STARLING, MAGPIE & OTHER PREDATORS 😠 Time to get the old trusty slingshot out..
Wow thanks for the great video.
That was a cool segment.
baby birds dont have long digestive tracks and don't obtain a lot of the nurturance, so eating the baby bird poo probably very common.
Awsom video thanks for sharing
I love how when the mom comes they go crazy 😂😂😂
This was so adorable
I was happy that my bird was save thank you for helping my pet bird
I love chickadees. Thats a great story.🐣
I finnaly see what nature Looks like

"Nature thought of everything"😂😂😂😂 right
Nature is absolutely incredible.
You r amazing Sar ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just a hint that bird singing at 6:10 is a blackbird :D but the one that attacked the nest is for sure a starling :)
I wanted to comment this. thanks!
hi what camera are you using? thanks
Beautiful video 😊
Mother Nature and the creator. Just wow
Next year you should put the ring on the bird, so if you observe bird around the nest, you know that bird was born in your home wooden nest
Delightful
Love this
Amazing
That's a shit ton of siblings in such a small space😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
the starling that was singing and the ones after it are actually blackbirds which are super cool(starlings are cool too)
Love it :)
Well done sir 👏🏼
Amazing do it again yes
The last one was reminiscing on the moments before it flew away 😂
That nest box is dangerous for birds m
Please make it properly...
